Apologies for the rubbish thread title - thought I'd cobble something together though!

Well done, Fliss! I was hoping someone wittier and more technologically proficient would sort this. :)

HenriettaChicken · 15/06/2012 15:56

...wittier & more technologically proficient than me; not than you, Fliss. Clearly. Blush

Flisspaps · 15/06/2012 16:16

Haha, no, I was hoping that someone wittier and more technologically proficient would beat me to it, alas we are stuck with this for another 996 posts Grin

Place marking. Thanks Fliss. Smile

Hope we're all ok. DD currently fast asleep on my knee. She's totally looking forward to the England match later, honest. Grin

Nordicmom · 15/06/2012 17:48

Thanks Fliss!
Another night of newly disturbed sleep with 3h between feeds... Doesn't help with the cold i've got . Managed to make it to DS school revue . Have been lucky enough to have my father do the school run during this week ... will be odd when i'll be on my own after next week for the first time when my parents leave . Hopefully i'll feel better by then and won't get everyone sick . At least DD will be old enough for Calpol if needed since she's almost 2months .

Ohhh new thread!
Thanks for you tips ladies on the BF tops, hopefully ill get more confidence doing it out and about?

Lyra is still in her 0-3 clothes, 3-6 still slighty too big! She weights now 11lb, I did try on one of her 0-3 dresses which she hasnt worn before and her arms are too cubby for it! lol, she is starting to get lovely baby fat- so cute.

She has now dropped down to 7-8 BF a day, was on 10! she has given up the 930-10pm feed and now has last feed at 8ish. She has been sleeping 5/6 hours and sometimes 7hrs between feeds at night. She woke around 3am last night! then 5am then 930am! so not bad for her.

Thats amazing hollypockett That you got your baby to sleep for 10 hrs!!!! The most L has done is 7.5 and it was a one off.
Hopefully its things to come for us ALL?

newmummyvicky · 15/06/2012 18:34

just reading old thread

Jellybellyrbest your Emily seem's a little like Lyra. She is fine with DH but she has been crying when i walk out the room, she was doing it all day on wednesday and i had to sit and eat my lunch in front of her. I thought she is being a bit controlling?
But my mum explained they like to see where you are, and they might think youll leaving them and not coming back!
Hopefully its just a short lived thing, she been ok since.

LaTristesse · 15/06/2012 18:48

Thanks Fliss for the new thread. Hope everyone finds us ok, that 1000 posts crept up fast!

VintageNancy · 15/06/2012 19:04

Oooh nice new thread Smile.
Just back from 2-month check and shots. She screamed but is fast asleep now. She weighed in at 12lb4oz and 23inches. She's still in some 0-3 month stuff but a lot of it getting tight so breaking out the 3-6 month wardrobe here too.

UniPsychle · 15/06/2012 19:40

Shiny new thread. Also in 3-6 here. Seems weird as DS1 was always a skinnymalink. My back is also killing me, but he will not be put down either.

*when..." amazing birth story - i also had 5 nights in post-natal for different reasons, tis hideous - i swear it scars you for life!

fliss thanks for educating me. i have no pics of ds2 on there yet as i don't really use my account. i just tried to find it and join but can't find it. Is it called mn april 2012 or have i missed something?

JambalayaCodfishPie · 15/06/2012 19:49

We're the opposite here - just opened our 0-3 sleepsuits. The newborn ones weren't even too small, just too neutral - the new ones are pretty and pink. Grin

kat1885 · 15/06/2012 20:15

Thanks fliss for starting the new thread.

Jam - awww you get to keep your baby small for longer. My sil produces low 6lb babies who always start off in tiny baby clothes so the fact Aaron is in 0-3 at 6 weeks (and nearly filling them) is funny to them. Ds1 was the same as a, both pretty average but inlaws swear blind they're huge.

VintageNancy · 15/06/2012 20:15

Yay for pink Jam Grin.

Emily is asleep on me again and I know I should put her in her basket but she's just had injections poor love, she can have lots of cuddles if she wants!

Have any of you been told your LOs are developing a flat spot on their heads? Em always sleeps with her head to the right so we need to encourage her to turn the other way. She managed it earlier so hopefully we can even things out!

TeaandHobnobs · 15/06/2012 20:18

Oooo new thread, thank you Fliss

I can't believe a lot of your little ones are going into 3 - 6 month clothes already - DS is only about to grow out of tiny baby!

Had a really nice afternoon with my friend and her cousin, who has a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old - picked up much wise advice. In fact, DS has been cluster feeding for the first time this evening or maybe I just wasn't reading his cues properly before so I am wondering if he will now sleep a little longer as a result? We will see... Thankfully after the two nights of two hourly feeds, he did treat me to three hourly last night Hmm

kat1885 · 15/06/2012 20:19

Forgot to add Aaron is thrashing around and yelling in my arms atm. He's clearly uncomfortable from being such a greedy guts at 7.30 and having 8oz rather than 6!

Vintage - Aaron prefers head left and its getting a little bit flat, we are trying to get him to sleep head right to even it out but its not easy.

digitalgirl · 15/06/2012 20:32

3-6mo clothes here too.

F a bit of an evening cluster feeder too which I don't mind if it means he sleeps longer. I prefer it when he sort of dreamfeeds from a boob for ages as I'm hoping he's getting lots of hind milk and will fill up without doing a massive wee that soaks through and wakes him.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 15/06/2012 20:35

I've just this second put DD down in her Moses basket and tried to turn her head the other way to how it seems to naturally fall. Didn't work. Grin

She has a flat spot, and horrendous newborn acne down the left side of her face though. Sad

VintageNancy · 15/06/2012 20:48

Jam our doctor said to put a rolled up blanket under the opposite hip to get her to naturally turn. Seemed to work for her brief nap earlier. Need to be cautious of loose blankets at night I guess.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 15/06/2012 20:50

The thing is, depending on how I have her in my arms, I can sort of tilt her head the way I want, and it stays. But I have to remember to have my arms the right way, and by bedtime I can barely remember my own name, never mind anything else. Grin

LaTristesse · 15/06/2012 20:52

No flat head but DD is losing her hair in a little patch around the middle, she looks like a monk! No need for 3-6 months clothes here yet either. She's going to be a petite little thing I think, unlike our very solid DS!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 15/06/2012 21:47

Thanks Fliss.

Harry is not yet 7 weeks and is a very very healthy 11lbs 6oz as for 11:00 today he is still in newborn/0-3 clothes?? he should surely be too big by now??

How are we all? xx

HollyPockett · 15/06/2012 22:24

Hurrah for the new thread!

Still in 0-3 here too and she's 10.4 :). She is just growing out of her newborn clothes.

She went down at 7pm and is still fast asleep... The DH is out tonight and I actually have run of the TV :) but I can barely keep my bloody eyes open and I'm off to bed anyway

HenriettaChicken · 15/06/2012 23:06

Bill was 11lb 12oz at 8 weeks, and fits his 0-3 pretty perfectly. They don't hang off him, but there's still a bit of growing room...he's certainly not ready for his 3-6 clothes yet!

He seems to grow out of the legs first...

justhayley · 16/06/2012 02:24

Hiya thanks for new thread and don't worry about the title mine probably would have been called April 2012 - 2 lol
Noahs almost out of most of his tiny baby clothes and wearing newborn - although stuff from baby gap seems to come up big so hes still in the clothes that are for up to 7.5 lbs. Everything he's grown out if has been length he's suddenly got quite long. Tonight he's actually wearing the very first sleepsuit I put him in at birth - although at 5lbs it was big then. Think we may be ready for 0-3 in the next 3 weeks! He is growing well though havnt had him weighed for 2 weeks - he was 8lbs 11 then ,may go to the HV drop in & get him weighed in the morning.

Iv had a rough few days sleep wise. Noahs gone back to waking every 2 hours - sometime 1 1/2! It's really tuff and is taking it's tole. Iv also felt abit down for a few days - mainly due to lack of sleep but also since I went to my postnatal group. Everyone's babies are sleeping so well I don't no when it's going to start getting better for me. I know it's because he was early and with a corrected age he's only 3/4 weeks but it's hard. I'm trying not to compare us to others mums and babies but .......
Also food wise wow can't believe babies are eating 8oz! I'm BF but when I give the odd bottle I'm lucky if Noah can eat 2!
If he ate more he'd probably sleep for longer but he's a real little and often eater Sad

Anyway it's 2.20am I'm Just finishing the 2nd feed of the night so going to wind and sleep again.

Sorry for the negative post.

Hope everyone's ok xxxx
