MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 06/06/2012 14:30

They would have gone one day a week anyway. Them's the rules.

Forgot to say, very exciting about booking the wedding kk - hope he asks you soon. What are you doing about your wedding venue memph? And are you divorced yet?

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/06/2012 15:15

mlisc yeah we found out with D, Im trying to kid myself we're finding out this time so I know what to do with all D's stuff but really Im just impatient!

Im also having extra growth scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks so Ill get to see my baby a bit more this time.

kkfairybrains · 06/06/2012 21:25

Thanks Mlic Grin. I hope he asks soon too it's really killing me not to tell people and I feel a bit guilty about arranging it without our parents and stuff. Paid the deposit today and have booked the dj. It's actually really hard to believe!
Dh that's so exciting about Saturday! Do you have any feeling of what it might be? Do you have a bump yet?
Brill news about the boys sleeping vik long may it last!
Mlic that's good that you'll have a but of work over the summer. It'd probably feel like you had just got into it and had to go again of you had the few weeks off. And as you say it's a break to go to work!!

WhatSheSaid · 06/06/2012 23:06

Dh I found out both times, far too impatient to wait 40 wks when I could find out at 20!

Great about the wedding kk

Spirael G loves being given a cloth and helping to wipe the table/clean the windows etc. I even have photos of her with the hoover. Make the most of it while it lasts Grin

vik not much Jubilee stuff over here, I saw one shop selling Union Jack flags, hats etc but don't know if anyone bought them. We had the Monday off as we get a bank holiday for Queen's birthday on the first Monday in June every year here anyway (bit weird we get it here when you don't in the UK normally!). I watched some of it on TV, watched the concert last night. Cheryl Cole really can't sing!

Dh managed to knock our brand new iPad off the table last night Angry, it turned on again after a minute, it seems to be working OK but the casing by the recharge slot is slightly bent out of shape. Hope it continues to work OK - I love it! It's recharging OK.

And an iPad accident is my most exciting news I'm afraid! Just off to do the online food shopping

memphis83 · 06/06/2012 23:32

mlic sent it off but filled something out wrong so need to resend it! Sure i will figure it out within 20 months! We looked at the guildhall for ceremony, its a 600 year old building, then looking at a golf club for reception, going to book ceremony with mum as shes paying deposit! Dh wants a rodeo bull at reception Grin
kk so exciting are you not tempted tp tell your mum? I rang mum as soon az we left from picking ring but he hadnt even asked me! Dh's gran is 86 and not in great shape she was so pleased yesterday asking to see ring over and over saying its the best news shes had in ages.

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/06/2012 07:27

kk yeah I've got a bump now, I feel different in this preg but that doesn't really mean anything. I really have no idea what it is but I don't mind either way.

wss or if you're really impatient you can find out at 17 like me!!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 07/06/2012 11:04

I'm at work having a break with a headache :( W keeps having temperatures. It was 39°C when he got up today so dh has been instructed to administer paracetamol again at 1pm. His first ever day of looking after the boys alone today. Hahahahaha he'll never take time off work again will he Grin

Chulita · 07/06/2012 13:53

Fwiw dh I felt very different with L and S but S and B were very similar. I know it means pretty much nothing but I just knew both the younger two were boys.

I'm here off and on, always seem to be busy but a good busy iyswim. L and I just mopped the kitchen floor cos both boys are down at the same time (whoop whoop)
We went to Sainsbury's this morning just for something to do cos it's soooo wet and there's nothing near us indoors. My 3 all sat nicely in the cafe, no tantrums or shouting, even S was beautifully behaved - I was so proud of them and when we left to get our trolley an older lady came up and said how lovely they all were to be so good. Silly things I know but I was so chuffed that she'd noticed [saddo]

mlisc my DH has never had the children all day on his own, not even just L and S - once B's semi-weaned I'm going to go for a spa day and he can have a go Grin

B's up, I might try and catch up later although last night I creamed in big style and was in bed at 8pm (still up 5 times overnight though)

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 07/06/2012 15:54

He's doing well bless him Grin He's managed a trip to McDonald's and the retail park.

FWIW I felt really, REALLY different in both my pregnancies and obviously had two boys. It took me a long time to get over the shock of W being a boy!

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/06/2012 16:00

Yeah I didn't think feeling different would mean anything, the amount of times ive read 'every preg is different'!

Ah well I'll know in 2 days Grin

Trudyla · 07/06/2012 19:18

I'm here too. Mostly I will try and post but then one of them is trying to get my attention.

Things are going well here, health wise and baby wise anyway. We're having major difficulties with the mortgage and it doesn't look good at the minute. Please everyone keep their fingers crossed!

chul Your mentioning of the three of them in a caf broke me out in a cold sweat. I still feel painfully outnumbered with two of them, even though they are mostly very well behaved, but three. My word, you have my utmost respect. I totally understand how chuffed you must feel about the lady's comment. I once started crying when someone said how well behaved they were. Blush

A question to those with older children. Hope it's not too embarrassing. I'm trying to be prepared for potty training but don't know anybody who's done it. So how do you wipe their bums? While they sit on the toilet? Or do you get them off and lie them down? Probably something I should know...

dh How exciting about the scan. I found out with both of them. I could never have waited. I always read the last page of a book as well. Patience is not my thing. Please let us know soon after.

memph and kk Maffisse congratulations to both of you. So exciting!

viks Glad the boys are sleeping better. How are you coping with two in general?

mlic Poor W. That must be really worrying. Hope he is better soon. Is it a virus type of thing?

wss online food shopping would def get me very excited here, as it's not possible in this country Angry

spirael I'm impressed at M helping with the cleaning. How did you get her to do it?

We went to a weird place today. It's just around the corner and used to be a cemetry but was meant to be sold to build apartments. People protested and it was now turned into a playground/park type of thing. A bit spooky to bounce on trampolines, then turn around and see an old grave stone but quite cool.

Not much else happening here. I'm so enjoying being able to take care of my two without rushing to hospital. They are very cute together and adore each other. They were both crying today so I put them together in M's cot and they entertained each other for half an hour. Everytime I stepped in they would start crying, so I stayed out of their way (checking through the mirror) and straightened my hair. I hadn't done that in years. Ace!

We're coming over to the UK to view some more houeses next week. Really looking forward to it.

Hope you're all well.

Chulita · 07/06/2012 20:10

Ok, I don't want to sound like a know-it-all-multimum but some of the ladies on the March thread/fb group have posted videos of their babies rolling over from front to back and others are commenting that they're really advanced/worried cos their babies aren't rolling. B rolled from front to back at around 10 days old and has done often since then, I don't count that as rolling though cos at that age it was a matter of him crying on his front, stretching out his arms and knocking himself over. Now he knows he can do it so if he's on his front for too long he'll roll over to get a different view but until he can roll back to front I don't count it. I kind of feel like posting but then it'll come across all "well my baby did it at 10 days so nerrrr" but I mean it for the worriers that it doesn't mean anything really... [sitting on hands]

mlisc did your dh survive the day? how's the head?

memphis have a great time, I'm very jealous tbh!

dh let us know what colour you're having!

Chulita · 07/06/2012 20:17

trudy that's so sweet that they were playing happily together, it melts me when my older two are loving with each other! Tbh 3 is easier than 2, I know that sounds ridiculous but L and S have very similar needs whereas B has baby needs - the older two can entertain each other/sit and eat together/play/understand what I'm saying so it's no different doing what I'm doing for both than it would be doing it with one older one and B except that L and S keep each other busy a lot of the time. (I didn't explain myself well but I know what I meant Grin ) Happy house hunting!

I'm off to bed I think, can't hack these sleepless nights at the mo!

kkfairybrains · 07/06/2012 23:11

You all manage so well with 2 and 3 children. I can't even get 1 to behave a lot of the time! She was I a very sweet mood today actually. She must like having dp around
Trudy do you mean you're struggling to pay the mortgage or struggling to get a mortgage for house In England?
I'm spending my whole evenings browsing pics if wedding dresses... Think it's going to be the most stressful part of the whole thing as I'm on the hunt for a real bargain as I refuse to spend a fortune in a dress that I'll wear for a few hours but I still want it to be beautiful!

kkfairybrains · 07/06/2012 23:12

How was W's temp this evening Mlic?

memphis83 · 07/06/2012 23:33

kk what sort of thing do you like? Take pics of dresses to a dressaker we have customers who make dresses for a fraction of prices of wedding shops. My friends mum is a seamstress amd said most are made in china and given huge mark up! Good you can talk about it one here as you cant in rl!
mlic did dh do ok all day?
chul hope you have a decent nights kip!
trudy great to hear things are good but rubbish about mortgage, fingers crossed it works out!

Weather is awful here, dh rode to Dover in the rain it rained for the whole 5 hours but its not raining in france.
L has already got up crying for his daddy 'mine daddddyyyy, wait come back' then refuses comfort from me!

viksam · 08/06/2012 07:05

Morning, (notice the lack of good!)
2,4,5 and up for the day, those are my magic numbers, F fed at 2 and went down quite easily then cried with wind at 4 but again went down ok but at 5, well god knows whats wrong with him, i think he has a cold like D, but is still really suffering from trapped wind and is still reallt sick all the time, he is on renitadnine which is helping with the reflux but not the sick, i may have to go back to the docs but hes gaining weight really well so they probably wont do anything.
chu you should be proud and its lovely that someone noticed, its not sad at all its right that the good times should be acknowledged coz they are few and far and we do tend to dwell on the shitter things like getting up at 5!!
Im sooooooooooo lying in tomorrow! I have to drop the car for mot today then walk to the osteopaths with both, hope the weather isnt too bad and that D behaves whilst F is being 'done'. I still have a mountain of ironing to do and washing to put away! Things are ok trudy but its the things like washing and ironing that mount up, chu i really dont know how u stay on top of it all and cook and bake and be up half the night!!
mylife hows W? and how did dh get on? i hope he had a good day and that he wont be afraid to do it again. My dh has had devon from wake up to bed time once, but not them both.........strangly i have though, hmmmmmmm maybe its his turn soon!

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/06/2012 07:15

I will try and get on here ASAP once I've found out!

chu about rolling over, I wouldn't say anything they'll all soon realise that babies develop at different rates and the 'advanced' babies might not be quite so when it comes to say crawling etc.

Chulita · 08/06/2012 08:37

dh I'm not saying anything cos it would be wanky Grin we all get excited about the tiny things our babies do, I have no right to spoil their excitement!

viks I'm not on top of everything, there are currently 3 loads of washing needing putting away, one in the machine needing drying and 2 in the laundry basket...it's never ending! [must stop messy play emoticon]

memphis I hope L doesn't miss his daddy too much, not easy!

kk I got my dress new off ebay for £200, it was beautiful and I loved it but didn't cost the earth. I'd get married again just to wear it Grin

trudy forgot to say, I wipe L while she's on, just lean over.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 08/06/2012 10:14

Just quickly cos I'm busy but you wipe whilst they're on the toilet Trudy, like Chul said

DH did brilliantly. W behaved much better for him then he does for me. He kicked back into W mode the minute I walked in the door :(

Too much to do, so little time...

kkfairybrains · 08/06/2012 14:03

Vik Sad. It's not bloody easy is it. Hope you manage to get some rest at some stage.
Chul is there pics of your wedding on Facebook? That's bloody brilliant money! I was looking on eBay and there are some gorgeous ones from china but I'm afraid of it being nothing like the picture!
Memph I love being able to talk about it here! I'd love a fitted lace dress. What about you?
Mlic well done to your DH! Bet he's proud as punch! Typical W's mood turning when you come in!

Chulita · 08/06/2012 14:54

There's pics on my profile kk but it wasn't remotely fitted or lacy Grin It was a lace up one with a big skirt and sequins. I didn't mind buying online since it was lace-up, good thing too cos I dropped from a size 12 to a size 8 between buying it and wearing it!

mlisc DH says the same about L and S, they'll be fine til they see me then they kick off...Hmm

kkfairybrains · 08/06/2012 15:04

Oh wow chul I just looked there you looked amazing! The dress is beautiful! I really love it. The bits coming down your arm from the straps are so pretty. Can you remember the seller or where it came from? You DH looks very handsome in his uniform too Smile

Chulita · 08/06/2012 15:14

You were quicker than me, I was about to hunt one down and change my pic to save you looking Grin The seller stopped ebaying a couple of years ago, I only know cos my SIL asked about it. It was a shop in Leicester but I don't have the website for them any more, sorry!

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/06/2012 16:47

Just had a nosy chu you're dress is lovely you look v happy too!
