Really where is everyone?

memphis83 · 10/08/2012 11:06

Im here working all day and coming in and putting L to bed within the hour so nothing exciting.
L has been weeing on the potty without telling me just gets it and wee's but still not pushing it yet.
We are at a party later with L and tomorrow dh and I are going put on the town tomorrw just the 2 of us for the first time in ages.
Whats everyone else doing over the weekend

Chulita · 10/08/2012 12:41

I was at my parents' (having said there's not much room) anyway, we've got shedloads of stuff to do on our house and it's going to cost a packet...not really the best time to be buying a van but that's life isn't it?!

Since S cut his 2 bottom molars he's been a little treasure, I hope it lasts but it probably won't.

Need to get L some lunch so I'm off again!

memphis83 · 10/08/2012 13:12

chul when do you pick van up? Dh's boss has just swapped his porche for one! have you got tenants in the house or do you need to do work first?

Chulita · 10/08/2012 17:30

We're picking it up tomorrow, I'm sad to be getting rid of our Avensis though, we paid nearly 10k for it 3.5 years ago and they're giving us 4k part-ex. Our neighbours bought one exactly the same age as ours last year and paid 8.5k for it so we're being robbed good and proper. Always happens with part-ex though and we can't afford to hold onto it on the off chance we can sell it for more.

Our tenants got locked up for fraud so the house is empty at the mo, we need to do a bit before the new ones move in, some of it will have to be saved up for though, the entire outside needs re-rendering and painting and we have damp in some places.

Chulita · 14/08/2012 12:20

Chicken risotto or chicken & sweetcorn pies? DH is away all week and I'm trying to decide which of the two my renegades are more likely to eat seeing as neither of them eat much potato or rice but I'm sick to the back teeth of cooking cheesy pasta.
Where is everybody? and if you're lurking why aren't you posting? (only saying cos I keep checking and seeing my same old boring post sitting there.

Spirael · 14/08/2012 12:44

Neither, cheesy pasta sounds nice! Grin

But then for various speed related reasons, my meal plan this week is:
Pasta & Tomato Sauce
Pasta & Cheese Sauce
Pasta & Pesto Sauce
Pasta & Chilli Sauce
Gnocchi & Tomato Sauce

Confused

Anyway, I'm around! Just manic with various dull things. None of them house selling, unfortunately. :(

Chulita · 14/08/2012 13:18

Not low-carbing then Grin

sorry the house isn't selling.
Seriously though, my two eat cheesy pasta every.single.day at the mo (L has always loved it since she was weaning), I'd love them to ask for something else.

Spirael · 14/08/2012 14:03

Bread seems to be my bane for weightloss, so as long as I avoid it (inc things like wraps/pittas/naans/etc) and the obvious things like chocolate and alcohol then I seem to slowly but steadily shed weight. So I guess it's a form of specific low-carbing? Wink

Since M doesn't really like potatoes, and we're avoiding buying fish/meat at the moment to save money in order to drop our asking price, that leaves a choice of rice or pasta. And pasta cooks quicker.

Good job I quite like it... I have pasta for lunch too.

You want to send L over to my house for meal times? Grin

Im here and i dont want the thread to die, fb is fine but not as chat friendly as here.
well as you have probably seen on fb my two have slept through the lst two nights, its quite unbelivable and unnerving and scary and i really dont know what to make of it at all. Happy but waiting for the backlash is how i feel. Franklin sems less whingy the last few days too, i say that as hes whinging his head off in the high chair coz im not paying him any attention!
Theres an agricultural show on today that my dh has a stand at and im supposed to be going along but its peeing it down and im in two minds??
chu did you get the van? whats it like? It that what your going to drive every day? Hows B's sleeping/feeding now and is S still waking mega early?
oh crap i just found this unposted!

memphis83 · 15/08/2012 14:00

vik whats dh got on his stand?
Having such a lazy day today, dh and I havent been getting on for about a week and its pissing me right off.ainly over his dad annoying the hell out of me. We had a bbq with his sister on sunday and its almost like a child being left out wanting to be called when we arrved so he 'could see L' he came and literaly didnt look at L til he left when he pulled a face as L had crumbs on his face. Im just not used to in laws my exes parents have all been dead or estranged, im from a family that tells you if you piss them off dh is from a family that accept every annoyance. Sometimes think would be easier on my own eventhough I love dh dearly but cant handle his family they interfere constantly. His poor sister hasn had a holida without one of the parents arriving (this includes a hol to florida) they are trying to find out when we go away i sept and got stroppy as said your not coming

Chulita · 16/08/2012 13:43

We got the van yesterday at last, it's huge! And it's our only car so yes, when I go to the shops I'll drive the beast...I'm not convinced yet!
B's feeding fine, sleeping ok, S is inconsistent so you never know where you are with him!

Ack memphis what a nightmare! DH gets on well with my parents thank goodness, his parents...well...

Trying to get some admin done before the boys wake up and it's impossible with a 3 year old in the house.
