Hope no one minds but i thought id start a new thread as the last one was so long!!!

HOpe you are all well.
Sweetheart: CONGRATULATIONS on passing the exam! What a massive achievement for you! WELL DONE
George: I have gone through all Aelx-Leighs clothes too and had to sort through all the next age bracket, its so upsetting isnt it!
SCULLY: Alex is also a very windy baby! She is definately her daddies girl in that department IYKWIM
FLUTTER: hows George doing now with wind etc? Did you try gaviscon? fingers crossed fort he flat, bet you cant wait to get your own space again!
EBBIE: how are things with you babe?
Jays: How are things with Harriette??
Nemo? Where are you?? Hope you and kids all ok, how is DH new job going?
After the nightmare i had on MOnday i ended up having to take Alex-Leigh back to the doctors on friday. Gaviscon worked a treat for 3 days and the on Thursday she started vomiting again and screaming in pain. We booked to see a different GP at the surgery who was great and immediately diagnosed REFLUX and has put Alex on ENFAMIL milk which goes solid in the tummy thus preventing her from regurgitating the whole bottle and stomach acid. She seems to be doing ok, still getting some sick but very small amounts comapred to before! Was discharged from Therepy on Friday, therepist said i had worked really hard to start the grieving process and has said she is happy im well on my way and wants me to stay on anti depressants for 6 months. Dh has handed in his notice at work, long story but he is no longer happy there, this means he now has 6 weeks to find himself another job or we will be in a very bad situation!!! Im trying to be supportive but its hard! I start back at work in 2 weeks and am looking forward to finally earning some money again, although what i earn will not be enough to pay bills if DH doesnt get a job!
Got to go as Alex has just woken up from her nap!

Take care all.

Hi All,

Hope everyone is okay, still not finding much time to post, I always seem to be out and about (nowhere exciting though!) or looking after DS1 & 2 and keeping the house in some sort of order!

All okay here at the moment, we were getting anywhere between 6 and 10 hours a night but last night he was up every 4 hours - maybe a growth spurt or maybe just as it was my turn to get up with him - it seems that the boys stick together in this house (maybe I need to try for a girl..........)Grin.

He is currently laid on the sofa beside me kicking the PC I think this is his speak for 'get off the computer mom!

Seen the thread re a meetup but don't think I could face travelling as far as London as I am only a wussy northener, not sure if there is any other northern mums?

Oh well better go the kicking is getting more frantic!

Speak soon

scully · 02/03/2006 08:13

Hope all the bubbas have settled down after their jabs this week...dd2 was a very good girl yesterday, I fed her just before my post natal exercise class and she then lay awake in the pram, listening to the music and watching, but not a sound for 40min. & then fell asleep in the car on the way home Smile & last night she slept from 10.30pm to 5am, not usual though but a nice surprise. At this rate she will have a younger sibling sooner rather than later, if she keeps lulling us into a false sense of security Wink Grin
& her passport arrived yesterday, I only posted the forms off last Tues Shock
So we're off to Italy in 2wks time, yay Grin

flutterbeeShock, but what happens if u havent had a period yet since birth, would i know if i were pregnant?BlushWink

sweetheart · 03/03/2006 09:20

Morning all,

Well, Lucas only woke up for 1 feed last night at 4am. He dropped his 11.30 feed last week and hopefully this will continue until he goes through the night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Findig typing quite a struggle - I joined a netball team yesterday and now have a hand injury which is really painful. Still it was brilliant fun and I can't wait for next week - all the ladies were lovely and it was great to be doing some fun exercise.

I am thinking about giving up expressing for Lucas but feeling really guilty about it. I sway from deciding to build my milk back up to feed him to thinking I'll stop all together. He is having more and more formular and I've noticed when I alternate formular with breast milk bottles he is very sicky. Dh has been saying for a couple of weeks to give up expressing but I just keep going. Lucas has had far more breast milk than my dd every had - I had stopped feeding her after about a month and Lucas will be 3 months in a couple of days.

Anyway, hope everyone is well......george, DQ hope things are going OK and you have some time to post soon - missing you!!!!!!

Ninah - will e-mail you soon honey, things here have been quite manic this week!

georgeandwigglyjake · 03/03/2006 09:42

I'm still here, even though it's a bit brief. I have my sis staying so no time to come on & post properly.
SH, wow what a change in sleep patterns for Lucas, just shows how quickly they can adapt. Smile
You put me to shame with your gym visits & now netball!!! I'm just such a lazy trog! Grin

DQ, miss you too

scully · 03/03/2006 11:51

ebbie you have my sympathy with the mastitis, I had that twice with dd1, it's awful Shock
don't think you would know you were pregnant until you noticed some symptoms.......
dd2 was giggling again today, a proper chuckle rather than just smiles, it was gorgeous. 2nd time she's done that.
I feel asleep sitting up in bed last night when feeding her and have put my neck out, it's killing me, I can't turn my head to the right at all. Makes lifting 2 children rather difficult.....

flutterbee · 03/03/2006 22:18

ebbie I think you would just have to wait and see, and then take a test if you were a little worried.

Still no sign of a period for me and it should have been yesterday or today I may take the other test tomorrow, not that I'm panicing.

Do any second timers know if your periods can jump all over the place after the birth, end of December and then bang on a month later end of Jan for me but nothing now any ideas.

ebbie22 · 04/03/2006 12:18

can i hear the patter of tiny feet again flutter?Wink, have a gd wkend all xx

sweetheart · 04/03/2006 17:59

Flutter - were you periods regular before being pregnant?

I know after my dd my periods were all over the place (I could sometimes go 6 months without having one) but my periods have never been very regular.

flutterbee · 05/03/2006 15:17

Well they weren't to the day I always went along the lines of give or take a week or two.

I did another test today and it is still showing negative so I have stopped worrying as much.

I suppose I should just deal with my periods the way I did before George came along, I never thought about my periods before sh thanks for remiding me.

I'm making an appointment with the Dr this week to go on the injection or something.

awayninahmanger · 06/03/2006 16:51

Holidays? Sport? SEX?! what's going on here?! good lord alive surely you can't ALL be enjoying yourselves can you? please someone else post you are wearing an old anorak covered in sick and your eyebags would not look out of place on Denis Norden. That you forget your shopping and leave your car unlocked and begging to be stolen. That, given an hour of peace and quiet your dream is to sleep but instead you log on to mumsnet and fritter the time away in idle chat. Oh, just me then! I do LOVE being a mum, but I can't really remember anything else about my identity at the moment. Hope it's just a phase. I WILL shop for some fancy knickers and a short break in Cyprus, honestly, just as soon as I have the energy.

ei23 · 06/03/2006 17:10

hey everybody!!Grin how are you all??
we are fine, am just feeding my little darling and thought id check out how you all are doing!Smile
sian has got her needles tomorrow straight after her baby massage class- which is marvelous btw!! it seems to have tackled her bowel problem as she is now doing poos all by herself! im so proud!! heheGrin i was just wondering if anyone has found that their babys poos are super-smelly if they give them breast milk that has been frozen?? i went to see patrick mcguinness yesterday night- it was soooooo funny!!!! and the first time i have been out on my own since having the babs!! weird how much you miss them isnt it??!
anywho... gotta fly as im starving and want my dinner!! love 2 u all xx

bonkerz · 06/03/2006 21:17

Hi all,
Just checking in with you all.

Started back at work today and i am exhausted BUT coped fine with 3 under 3s! Not sure how i will be by friday!!!
Alex-Leigh slept through the night again last night but after the excitement of last week we will have to see what happens tonight. Have noticed she is not taking more than 2 oz from her 9pm feed and actually sleeps preatty much from 7pm (after a 6 oz bottle) so may try putting her to bed at 7 and see where we go from there! Would be nice to get my evenings back now im working again.
Not much else to say so im gonna head off to bed, busy day tomorrow looking after 5 under 5s for 2 hours of the day tomorrow!! MUST BE MAD

OP posts:
scully · 07/03/2006 12:15

Bonkerz, how are you doing that Shock well done, just looking after my 2, let alone anyone elses, is enough right now! Although I must say, the transition from 1 to 2 hasn't been too bad at all, so far......
& find me a holiday Ninah, when you're looking Grin
& yes ei, dd2's poos are dreadful, fill the nappy and then some smell like rotten eggs. & she always has this proud look on her face too, as she's pushing one out, on my lap Smile

sweetheart · 07/03/2006 21:35

I had a blissful day today. I had a day out at The Sanctuary spa in Covent Garden and was totally pampered from top to toe!

I'm off for a major shopping trip on Sunday to find an outfit for my birthday in a couple of weeks - everything from new undies (my bras are all too small!!!!) to new shoes - not sure if it will be really good or a total nightmare (given my new, porkier size) and tomorrow I am having all my hair cut off - think Kristina (American woman from Dancing On Ice) so with the gym visits and netball games I'm hoping to look like a new woman come next week!

We are now on our 3rd brand of baby milk to try and reduce Lucas' sickness. It has got better in the last few dys since I have stopped mixing breast milk with formular. He is having 100% formular now and although I feel quite guilty he had a better start than my dd did AND he seems happier - he is sleeping better too. The other night he slept from 7pm to 5am!

How is everyone else? Bonkerz, I can't imagine looking after more children - I'd be knackered!

DQ - how are you, you've been missing for a while now, hope everything is OK!

flutterbee · 08/03/2006 17:26

sh Shock you will be too good for us lot soon. Slow down woman your going to make the rest of us feel bad Grin Your banned from any furture meet ups Grin Grin

George had his 3rd and final jab today and he screamed the house down for about 1 min afterwards and I haven't had a peep out of him since, he fell asleep in the pushchair on the way home and is still sleeping thats 3 hours now Shock Grin poor little mite

I'm also worried about DQ we haven't heard from her for so long now, does anyone have any way of contacting her?

Hpe the rest of you are OK, are we any close to a meet up or not?

sweetheart · 08/03/2006 18:01

I e-mailed DQ yesterday to see if she is OK.
