Hope no one minds but i thought id start a new thread as the last one was so long!!!

HOpe you are all well.
Sweetheart: CONGRATULATIONS on passing the exam! What a massive achievement for you! WELL DONE
George: I have gone through all Aelx-Leighs clothes too and had to sort through all the next age bracket, its so upsetting isnt it!
SCULLY: Alex is also a very windy baby! She is definately her daddies girl in that department IYKWIM
FLUTTER: hows George doing now with wind etc? Did you try gaviscon? fingers crossed fort he flat, bet you cant wait to get your own space again!
EBBIE: how are things with you babe?
Jays: How are things with Harriette??
Nemo? Where are you?? Hope you and kids all ok, how is DH new job going?
After the nightmare i had on MOnday i ended up having to take Alex-Leigh back to the doctors on friday. Gaviscon worked a treat for 3 days and the on Thursday she started vomiting again and screaming in pain. We booked to see a different GP at the surgery who was great and immediately diagnosed REFLUX and has put Alex on ENFAMIL milk which goes solid in the tummy thus preventing her from regurgitating the whole bottle and stomach acid. She seems to be doing ok, still getting some sick but very small amounts comapred to before! Was discharged from Therepy on Friday, therepist said i had worked really hard to start the grieving process and has said she is happy im well on my way and wants me to stay on anti depressants for 6 months. Dh has handed in his notice at work, long story but he is no longer happy there, this means he now has 6 weeks to find himself another job or we will be in a very bad situation!!! Im trying to be supportive but its hard! I start back at work in 2 weeks and am looking forward to finally earning some money again, although what i earn will not be enough to pay bills if DH doesnt get a job!
Got to go as Alex has just woken up from her nap!

Take care all.

Will my jelly belly ever go? It seems to be getting bigger by the day! Can't belive Holly is seven months. It's scary, another five months and she'll be the big ONE. Time flies, oh I'm sooo broody for another.

softmusk · 15/07/2006 23:54

congrats Jaysfirst
just wanted to say my dd2 is a xmas baby 05 and there are 14 months between her and her big sister and they get on really well i dont think i could have had a baby at a better age gap the only one thing i found hard was finding dd1 big sister clothes they dont seem to make them for one year olds but the rest is brilliant

scully · 16/07/2006 22:11

Was your dd2 born on Xmas Day Softmusk? Our dd2 was, funny the comments I still get when I need to give her date of birth to people. Mind you, dd1 tells everyone when dd2's birthday is, she thinks it's so special and regularly thanks me for me giving her a sister for a Xmas present

curtaintwitcher · 16/07/2006 22:20

hi all[its nemo]

scully bless your dd1 thinking dd2 was her xmas present

Yayyyy jaysfirst..huge congrates on no.2...wishing you happy and sick free pregnancy..lol

Well Hannah is 7mths old today and I am 14wks pg...cant believe how quickly time is flying by. Hannah is now semi crawling in a weird up on knees but uses her forearms to pull as she is usually trying tpo pinch one of adams toys..lol Lots of fun now she is mobile but adam has reacted surprisingly well to her toy grabbing. She has also finally started to sleep through..thank god as I was getting to be extremely tired.

ebbie22 · 17/07/2006 20:19

Thomcat · 18/07/2006 13:45

Hi Curtaintwitcher/nemo - wow, congrats

Little Eve is also on the move, has been for a little while now. So mad as my DD1 is 4.5 and still not walking. Evce actually pulled to standing twice yesterday as well. She crawls in a strange little way but ets from one end of the room to the other v quickly all the same and is starting to suss that her arms and legs have to move at the same time.

The funniest thijg she does is go up on her hands and feet and bend her head down to look between her legs!

She doesn't stay still for a second, climbs over stuff, gets stuck in corners and as I say pulling to stand so I guess cruising will follow soon.

She's still delightfil, a very happy little soul.

Love to you all, TC x

sweetheart · 18/07/2006 16:50

Hi everyone,

Jays congrats on No 2!

Well things here are great, I am finding being back at work ok so that is a huge relief. Lucas is starting to get around, he's not quite crawling yet but I don't mind as I know he's going to be a little mischief when he does! He can roll around a room quite happily and he is pulling himself up on things - I found him standing in his cot the other day (to my absolute horror). Time to lower the matress I think!

Dd walked at 9 months (only crawled for a couple about a month beforehand) and Lucas loves being on his feet so much I think he will follow suit. He loves to stand on his feet and bounce up and down.

He is 2Ibs off of 9Kgs and I can't wait to get him in a bigger car seat as he's so heavy to carry in the baby seat.

Life is just so lovely at home. We are having dd and ds christened in September so I am in throws of organising their special day.

Hollyboo - jelly belly is a major problem here too! I've lost quite alot of weight - I weigh less now than I have done for years but I've still got huge love handles and a big fat belly! I'm trying to do lots and lots of sit ups to get rid of it but I think it might be here for life!

Hope everyone else is well.....

oh, I heard from ninah a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunatly she lost her dad recently so she is up north with her sisters at the moment. Ninah, Hope your back soon and feeling OK! Lots of love from us!!! xxxx

SH x

ninah · 19/07/2006 11:15

hello, I'm back! Funeral was yesterday it was grim to be honest, you have that weird limbo period in between where you delude yourself that's nothing's really changed but then you have to face up to it ... All went to plan tho and it's over. Feel a bit strange still and don't want to talk to rl people for a bit. Well you know what I mean, face to face.
SH we had rellies down from Winchester, I was her bridesmaid a few (ahem) years ago so may well be up in your neck of the woods to see them, we could arrange something that way, let's see
Good to hear all the babies are doing so well I was looking at Arianna today after not seeing her for two days she has got so BIG! she is only crawling backwards so far tho

Thomcat · 19/07/2006 11:51

So sorry about your Dad Ninah

ninah · 19/07/2006 11:53

thanks TC
Hope you found the right words for your friend. The very fact that you were so concerned to do so says it all, really. I was going to add something to that thread but guessed you had done the card by now.

curtaintwitcher · 19/07/2006 11:56

Hi ninah
sorry to hear about your dad hun..perfectly understandable not wanting to deal with 'rl' people.

ninah · 19/07/2006 11:58

ds at nursery dd asleep, I should be too but on here ... When I got back this morning this guy had a go at me for parking too close to his back bumper and it was almost as if he was speaking in a foreign language, I really couldn't take in what he was going on about
total arse

scully · 19/07/2006 13:39

Sorry to hear about your dad Ninah, hope you're doing ok.
Know what everyone means about little people being on the move, Madeleine goes around in circles and backwards quite well now
I'm in no hurry for her to go any further but I think she is......
Our house is under offer now so fingers crossed will all go through mid Sep and we'll be leaving the UK for good early Nov I expect. Back to Australia after 11yrs away I left at 25, single and will return married with 2 dd's, how did that happen
Hope everyone is enjoying the hot weather, the girls are fine with it which is good because Brisbane will be like from when we arrive in Nov until at March at the earliest

sweetheart · 19/07/2006 15:22

ninah, lovely to hear from you. I'm glad everything went ok for the funeral (I take it dp wasn't there then?!?!)

Anyway, e-mail me when you get the chance. It would be great to see you again - I can always do a trip to Winchester.

Take care hun and take as much time as you need. If you want to talk to someone who isn't rl you know I'm here.

SH xxx

MINNIE1 · 19/07/2006 15:54

Jays
Many congrads on no2.. i really though i was the mad one here havin no 2 so soon [due nov] but i am glad now.. I am 21 wks and time has flown by. DD is so cute now and i just think if i see this time next year i will be doing fine. I really think i missed being pregnant for some strage reason!! Just started feeling bubs move and all of a sudden i feel i have company which i love. you will be fine dont worrie and enjoy your little girl while you can. (can you tell i wont be saying that when i have two hanging off me)

scully · 22/07/2006 13:17

Know what you mean Minnie, I have missed being pregnant after both dd1 and dd2. We are still contemplating number 3, will happen in Australia though if we decide to try
11mths between your babies, that gap will be lovely for them when they are a bit older, just hard work for you for the first year or so after number 2 arrives
I'm stuggling a bit with dd1 again this week, anyone else having trouble with their older one, who is around 4yrs old??

ei24 · 26/07/2006 14:43

hey ninah sorry to hear about your dad big hugs to you hun xx
hey everyone nice to see some more of us making time to pop in!!

flutterbee · 30/07/2006 22:31

Ninah sorry to hear about your Dad, glad the funeral went OK.

Congratulations to all those who are pg again, I feel all jealous, we have decided to wait for a while. Hope you are all starting to pop out nicely now

Well George is nearly 9 months and a total scamp, he has his top teeth through now as well so a bite is really is painfull

He chatters away all the time and over the past few days his favorite thing to say is.....dadadadadadadadadadadad DH was totally blown away and we thought we were imagining it but at my bros yesterday he did it and then today at Mums everyone heard it. [proud mummy emoticon]

Hope you are all well, speak soon xxx

georgeandwigglyjake · 31/07/2006 13:38

Hello again everyone,
I think it's an age since I last posted. I try to pop on occasionally but haven't managed to keep up at all. Seems like there are lots of new babies coming over the next 9 months. Don't know how you manage it - I'm up to my eyeballs with just one!
Jakey is fine but not really interested in rolling, sitting or crawling. Bouncing is his thing. Can't believe how big he is but how cute are they at the moment?!
I've taken to this motherhood thing quite well. I think it suits me to pull funny faces and sing nursery rhymes all day. Not sure about the early mornings though - urgh.

It is lovely to see that this thread is still going strong although the posts have definitely slowed from the pregnancy days - oh to have my feet up stuffing my face with chocolate again!

Ninah, I have e-mailed. x

vnmum · 31/07/2006 14:06

hi everyone, can i join this thread?

I'll tell you abit about myself and DS. Ds was born on 2/12/05 in germany. he is currently 21lb 7oz and a big boy. he is breastfed and i am slowly introducing solids by baby led weaning. he loves it which is just aswell as he wouldnt take anything off a spoon. he has been sitting well for a couple of months but has always been quite strong. this past week he has really found his voice and is screeching very loud all the time. he also periodically jabbers away at his toys and us. he also loves being on his feet, standing and bouncing and also taking little steps while i hold his hands.
after thinking he was lazy he actually started commando crawling today! he uses both legs together but he still gets around. i'd better get some stair gates.

i enjoy being a mum most of the time, its hard when ds wont sleep and is grumpy. he has 2 teeth and was grizzly for about 2 weeks with the first but not too bad with the second.

my dh is in the army but is off ill at the moment with depression. hes due to start back at work soon to see how he gets on. i finally got my act together about a month ago and joined slimming world. i have lost 10lb in 6 weeks. i see a new wardrobe coming soon.

well thats it about us really, look forward to chatting

scully · 06/08/2006 16:04

Welcome vn, I think everyone must be on holiday right now We went camping in Wales last weekend for 3 days, it was fantastic. dd1 loved it and it was very relaxing for dh and I. dd2 just did her usual and smiled at everyone and threw up after each meal so the tent is well christened
House sale still proceeding ok so I've started with the shipping quotes, 1 last week and 3 this week and then we'll make a decision as to who to go with. We're spending August going through each room in the house (including the loft ) to make sure what we put in the container we actually want with us in Australia. After 11yrs here and 4yrs of owning our own property, we have a lot of stuff Quite theraputic though giving most of our winter clothes to the charity shops though

scully · 08/08/2006 15:49

Ok, where is everyone
Anyone interested in having a meet up before I disappear off to Australia, most likely for a long, long time?
We looking at flying out at the end of October, but thought I'd mention it now, as it will most likely take that long to organise anything
dd2 now has 4 teeth and is v busy crawling around the place..... & she's only 8mths on the 25th! Going to be delight on the plane, wanting to crawl everywhere

sweetheart · 10/08/2006 15:26

Sculy, I'm so of you going to Aus. How about we arrange a meet up there

Well Lucas is 8 months now, how time flys! He is desperate to be on the move and spends alot of time throwing a strop becasue he is so frustrated. We think it will be less than a week before he is properly on the move as he can shuffle around the floor whilst bouncing on his hands and knees. He just can't get the coordination right.

He's being a little darling at night (something I didn't think I'd ever say about him!) and generally sleeps from 7pm - 7am. He's loving his food (although won't touch jars!) We went away to a family wedding recently and he hardly ate all weekend as we had taken jars for him.

I'm feeling great, much fitter and healthy than I have done for years - mostly due to lots of home cooked meals (well if I'm cooking them for Lucas I may as well eat them)

Dd loves Lucas to bits and it makes my heart melt to watch them laughing at each other. I heald a friends newborn earlier today and for 1 min I actually thought about having another!!!!

Anyway, enough babble from me, I hope everyone else is keeping well. We are off to Cornwall next week, speak to you soon!

Nemo1977 · 18/08/2006 10:54

Hello all

funny how the little ones are changing so much..although H doesnt seem very little anymore..lol She is crawling and crusing which is nice but hard work as of course Adam is not used to his little sister being able to get everything he has so he has moved a lot of his toys to the table...lol Am 19wks tommorow and cant believe how quickly this pregnancy is going..barely have time to think about fact I am having another but am sure it will hit me sometime..lol

Scully unfortunately probably couldnt make a meet up but hope you have a easy move to oz..very jealous of you
Take care all
