Hope no one minds but i thought id start a new thread as the last one was so long!!!

HOpe you are all well.
Sweetheart: CONGRATULATIONS on passing the exam! What a massive achievement for you! WELL DONE
George: I have gone through all Aelx-Leighs clothes too and had to sort through all the next age bracket, its so upsetting isnt it!
SCULLY: Alex is also a very windy baby! She is definately her daddies girl in that department IYKWIM
FLUTTER: hows George doing now with wind etc? Did you try gaviscon? fingers crossed fort he flat, bet you cant wait to get your own space again!
EBBIE: how are things with you babe?
Jays: How are things with Harriette??
Nemo? Where are you?? Hope you and kids all ok, how is DH new job going?
After the nightmare i had on MOnday i ended up having to take Alex-Leigh back to the doctors on friday. Gaviscon worked a treat for 3 days and the on Thursday she started vomiting again and screaming in pain. We booked to see a different GP at the surgery who was great and immediately diagnosed REFLUX and has put Alex on ENFAMIL milk which goes solid in the tummy thus preventing her from regurgitating the whole bottle and stomach acid. She seems to be doing ok, still getting some sick but very small amounts comapred to before! Was discharged from Therepy on Friday, therepist said i had worked really hard to start the grieving process and has said she is happy im well on my way and wants me to stay on anti depressants for 6 months. Dh has handed in his notice at work, long story but he is no longer happy there, this means he now has 6 weeks to find himself another job or we will be in a very bad situation!!! Im trying to be supportive but its hard! I start back at work in 2 weeks and am looking forward to finally earning some money again, although what i earn will not be enough to pay bills if DH doesnt get a job!
Got to go as Alex has just woken up from her nap!

Take care all.

hi all, i'm new to this, hope you don't mind me joining. i had a little girl 19th dec 05, my second. 1st little girly is 2. i haven't read all of the messages yet, but will catch up during the week. it's monday morning again tomorrow!!

Nemo1977 · 19/03/2006 22:31

rach..hi and welcome. I have a DD hannah born on 16th dec and also have a ds adam born oct 2003 so he is nearly 2 1/2.

flutterbee..fingers crossed for your house..really love my swap stuff..just trying to find decent pic of us all to put in.

DQ good to see you around.

Hannah has started on her new milk and been a lot better..she is actually taking 4ozs a feed which for the past month has been unheard of. Also bought some holistic cream yesterday at a baby fair for her excema and it has worked wonders. I really cant believe how much better it looks and it is also clearing up her cradle cap. Hope everyone is ok...seems to be a bit of a hectic time at the minute as H is getting old enough to need a lot of attention plus trying to keep A entertained is a nightmare as he is a bundle of energy..lol

rachc · 20/03/2006 07:15

hi nemo
my 1st dd had reflux, she was on infant gaviscon in her bottles and ranitidine liquid after her milk, it worked wonders and she was harldy ever sick once the dose was right. i remember what a nightmare it was, luckily dd no 2 does not seem to have it. hope you get it sorted.

awayninahmanger · 20/03/2006 09:40

Hello DQ! Smile

georgeandwigglyjake · 21/03/2006 08:59

Hello all, I'm back from my lovely holiday. It has done us the world of good and hopefully will be the start of some better times for me & my DP. Lovely to see him have some time with Jakey and it meant I managed to have a lie in finally!! Smile

We tend to head for N Cornwall Ninah so not been to Coverack. Might have to have a look though for future holidays. How are things going for you? Any progress with the house yet?

DQ, glad you have returned again. I seem to have caught your bug for taking pictures, poor Jake is sick to death of me hanging over him with a camera. Poor child wil be blind if I keep using the flash Smile

SH, very Envy that you have bought some "proper" grown up underwear Smile. I don't think I'm ever going to fit in any again. I don't think I can stop b/f ever now as my boobs will hit my knees as soon as I do.

Off to make a cup of tea before the monkey wakes up again.............

dramaqueen72 · 21/03/2006 12:45

hey ninah, nemo george.everyone! george trust me you can NEVER take enough photos -blink and they are at school........
i've bfed FOUR children now -long term bfing too, -and my boobs are fine. they do sagg but then spring back later. mine did anyhow. i'm still months off proper pretty underwear s/h! tho elles bfing bras are much nicer than others....
Daisys doing wonderfully, can complain about anything, aside from poss the amount of stuff i do with one hand now shes permenantly attached to one hip lol. shes 12lbs at least now - huge!
scully hows the other christmas baby?
hope all little ones are well.

georgeandwigglyjake · 21/03/2006 17:45

LOL DQ, Grin, no chance of mine doing any springing ever again I think. More a droopy sway Smile
I can't even get into the Elle b/f bras, think Rugby ball chopped in half, then sagging!!

Oh well, at least they hide my droopy tummy Grin

flutterbee · 22/03/2006 13:12

BONKERZ - Can you hekp me please, my Mum is considering becoming my childminder for me and we want to do it the official way because I want to pay her and claim some through wftc. Can you please give me some idea of what kind of course she would have to go on and what are the types of things she would have to alter in the house.

She was a very very good chilminder when I was tiny and had a waiting list a mile long but we are talking 20 years ago, she has also had 7 children and has said she would refuse to do any kind of course that was patronising (you know 19 yr old telling her how to look after children).

Any info you have would be great of links to websites, also what do you think the going rate is for childminders these days.

Speak to you soon I hope!!!!

bonkerz · 22/03/2006 17:41

Flutter, i hate to say this but regardless of whether your mum is a registered childminder or not you will not be able to claim childcare costs if she looks after baby! I think the most you can claim is £50 because she is grandparent and therefore (according to government) should care for your child out of love!! I know its all wrong!! the only way round it would be to lie but thats so dodgy these days. If you email me i can still give you details of registering etc. Sorry to bare such bad news!

So my little chunky monkey was weighed today and at 13+2 weeks old she weighs a whopping 14lb 6oz!!!!!!

bonkerz · 22/03/2006 17:43

just looked at other thread and i may be wrong. Probably best to ring Tax credit and enquire.

OP posts:
flutterbee · 22/03/2006 19:09

Hi bonkerz, thanks for the info, I have looked into it and if she registered I could claim the tax credits just like I would for any other child minder. However Mum rang me today and has said she has decided that she will have George to look after until we both agree that he is at a suitable age to go to nursery but, she will not register and I can understand why she doesn't want to I bloody well wouldn't want to after having 7 kids!!!!
Instead she has told me to find out the going hourly rate for childminders and she will accept 30% of the going rate (what we would have to pay as a top up if we were able to claim the full support from tax credits) DH and I have decided that we will pay her a minimum of 50% of the going rate as this is almost the amount we would get paid for us (we would get about 40% contributed from wftc because of our wages) and we do not want to rip her off!!!

I'm sooo happy this is the dream ending to a very horrible problem, I will still miss the little bugger when I'm at work but I will know that he is safe with Grandma someone who truely loves him, it's all smiles here tonight Grin Grin

MINNIE1 · 22/03/2006 20:12

Hi remember me...

Havent been on in a while but as seen as i am in the area i must see how your all doing..

Just going to catch up on your lives now..

flutterbee · 22/03/2006 20:51

OMG Minnie so good to hear from you but OMG I had a scare a couple of weeks ago when I thought I might be.

If it's deffo + will you be happy or sad or a bit of both.

Nemo1977 · 22/03/2006 20:59

hi minnie
Shock congrates or not? To be honest I wouldnt mind being pregnany again but Dh has gone from adament he doesnt want anymore to conceeding that we can have another with a 2yr gap. I am sure things will work out for you whatever happens...good luck and thinking of you.

MINNIE1 · 22/03/2006 21:02

Yip i think i would be due nov 24th but prob will go over! Shocked, scared, sick with worrie but what can i do.. I think im not fully beleiving it just yet.

I'll be happy but i would have loved to have a few months to myself.. DP is fine about it.. I'm going to the doc tomor to see what she thinks, God this means double the worrie!! New baby worrie and pregnancy worrie!! o well

How is your little lad doing?

sweetheart · 22/03/2006 21:06

Minnie Shock let us know as soon as you get confirmed results! You crazy lady - but huge congrats if it is a +.

Thigs here are getting a bit crazy - dh and I seem to be on the look out for a new project but as we can't quite decide what we seem to have 100 balls in the air. We have had estate agents round all week and are thinking of moving. Another option is to extend our house although as we've nearly finished it I can't really be bothered to deal with the upheaval.

Also just found a business oppertunity which I am interested in but it would mean re-training to quite a high level and working quite hard - not sure if now is the right time but the oppertunity will not be around for long!

Sigh - so many thoughts to juggle.

Also, have been trying dream feeding with Lucas - he nearly slept through the other night but dh woke him up on his way out to work. Still, I only had to get up to pop his dummy in. Apart from that he slept 10pm - 7am! Let's hope thats hte way of the future.

Anyway, how are you all. Hope you are doing well.

MINNIE1 · 22/03/2006 21:13

Will do i will pop in to doc tomor and get it confirmed either way! and i'll be back to tell you all..Off to bed DD is down since 8 and i am hoping she will go for the 6-7am mark! But i know the dummy will fall out o well if i am pregnant again DP will have to be getting up! ha ha..

sweetheart · 23/03/2006 09:02

LUCAS SLEPT THROUGH WOOOHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Grin

I know some of the Dec babes have been sleeping through for ages but this is a real milestone for us.

He went down at 7.30pm, I dream fed him at 10pm and he slept until 6am.

Finally think we've cracked it after 15 weeks!!!! Fingers crossed Grin

georgeandwigglyjake · 23/03/2006 09:06

Minnie Shock!!!
Did the midwife not have that little "chat" with you? Wink
Huge congratulations to you if the BFP is confirmed.

SH, Jake & Lucas are moving in opposite directions as far as sleeping is concerned.

For the last 3 nights Jake has been grumping from about 2.30am and won't settle plus he has decided an extra feed is great. Anyone any ideas why he would be such a pain this week?

flutterbee · 23/03/2006 09:41

God don't talk to me about waking in the night, George has been a star and has been sleeping through for a while now and he is also taking 8oz for quite a few of his feeds........UNTIL LAST NIGHT, his feeding was all over the place yesterday, he took to full 8oz in the morning and then 2 bottles at 5oz in the afternoon (confused emoticon) 2 hours after one of the 5oz he screamed so we offered him some more and he took another 4oz he then went to sleep but woke up at 12 and fed again, then at 3am, then at 5.30am and then at 8am at all of them only taking 3-4oz. This is the worst he has ever been since he was born Shock DH and I are soooo tired, bloody babies why do we bother. Grin

flutterbee · 23/03/2006 09:41
