Hope no one minds but i thought id start a new thread as the last one was so long!!!

HOpe you are all well.
Sweetheart: CONGRATULATIONS on passing the exam! What a massive achievement for you! WELL DONE
George: I have gone through all Aelx-Leighs clothes too and had to sort through all the next age bracket, its so upsetting isnt it!
SCULLY: Alex is also a very windy baby! She is definately her daddies girl in that department IYKWIM
FLUTTER: hows George doing now with wind etc? Did you try gaviscon? fingers crossed fort he flat, bet you cant wait to get your own space again!
EBBIE: how are things with you babe?
Jays: How are things with Harriette??
Nemo? Where are you?? Hope you and kids all ok, how is DH new job going?
After the nightmare i had on MOnday i ended up having to take Alex-Leigh back to the doctors on friday. Gaviscon worked a treat for 3 days and the on Thursday she started vomiting again and screaming in pain. We booked to see a different GP at the surgery who was great and immediately diagnosed REFLUX and has put Alex on ENFAMIL milk which goes solid in the tummy thus preventing her from regurgitating the whole bottle and stomach acid. She seems to be doing ok, still getting some sick but very small amounts comapred to before! Was discharged from Therepy on Friday, therepist said i had worked really hard to start the grieving process and has said she is happy im well on my way and wants me to stay on anti depressants for 6 months. Dh has handed in his notice at work, long story but he is no longer happy there, this means he now has 6 weeks to find himself another job or we will be in a very bad situation!!! Im trying to be supportive but its hard! I start back at work in 2 weeks and am looking forward to finally earning some money again, although what i earn will not be enough to pay bills if DH doesnt get a job!
Got to go as Alex has just woken up from her nap!

Take care all.

Hi all,

I have never posted before, I am 32yrs old, live in Edinburgh and have a beautiful baby girl who was born on 16th dec.
Bye for now

Thomcat · 19/08/2006 21:20

Hi all, nice to see this com up in active, I never see it potherwise.
Lovely to catch up and read your posts.

Eve is non-stop. Crawls madly everywhere and is also cruising. Bought her first 'proper' shoes today. She also climbed the whole flight of stairs so rushed out and bought another stairgate for the bottom as well today.

She is fab. Laughs all the time, waves arms in air, is shaking head from side to side, eating well, loving her food and her baths and her sleep. She's just delightful, really, really lovely.

Hard to believe I was worried abut being scared about how I'd love her when I loved DD1 SOOO much.

I'm a very happy and very lucky mummy.

vnmum · 20/08/2006 13:26

hi all again, scully im so jealous of you, DH would love to emigrate to oz, me too for that matter. DS is also commando crawling everywhere and doing the rocking on hands and knees then flopping onto belly. its quite amusing actually. he just loves being on his feet and is starting to whinge when hes on the floor then as soon as you hold his hands he pulls himself up and is happy, so im expecting cruising soon. he still wakes in the night but isnt taking alot of solids so its to be expected i think. i am thinking of TTC when he is oneish but i am abit apprehensive as i love him sooooo much i dont know if i have any left for another one.LOL

MINNIE1 · 23/08/2006 09:59

Hi all,
Its been a while since i posted.

Great to see your all doing well.

DD is getting so big so quick, I'm back to work and i feel i am missing out with her. She is in a walker (as i am unable to carry her with this expanding bump!) and she loves it. she has 2 teeth now has since she was 5 months, she has a heart melting smile.
She is eating fine and sleeping from 8pm till 7am. I am nearly 26wks pg and time is flying cant wait for no2 i think i am sick of being pregnant as i have been for nearly 2 year now. Looking forward to being me for a little while anyway.

Hope you all are enjoying motherhood as much as i am it has changed my life for the better (Hormones talking)

scully · 23/08/2006 23:50

Gosh Minnie, no2 will be with you before you know it and what a good sleeper your dd is, my dd2 is still waking once a night, occassionally twice a night, but her sister did this for the first year, so I'm not that surprised.....by this stage with dd1 though I was back at work, so nice that I'm not, this time around, for the sleep aspect among other reasons
Discovered that dd2 has had another 2 teeth come through in the last week, so that makes 6 now . She has been a v good teether so far, we tend to discover them after the fact, and they are coming through 2 at a time. And she is desperate to be on her feet now that she has mastered crawling, every week some new skill has developed.
My house currently looks like a tip, with us deciding what is and isn't being packed in the container...... I've been busy selling off things on Ebay but that is time consuming in itself.....

bonkerz · 24/08/2006 21:42

Havent posted for ages so thought i would tonight.

Alex-Leigh is a menace!! She weighs in at a whopping 19.4oz and is a tall 71cm, 2 teeth and very catching smile. She waves hello and goodbye and rolls all over the place, no crawling but happily pulls up at furniture and does this delightful little bop!! Has learnt to FAKE CRY which is slightly irritating and has started waking in the night again although we are hoping this is a phase due to teething! Feeding going brilliantly and she loves nothing more than munching on cucumber, pepper and carrot and is really into her food, she is only taking 16oz of milk a day and thats at a push but its obviously not a problem!!! Am leaving her with nanna this weekend along with DS and DSD so have 2 nights with NO CHILDREN and just me and DH........whos up for betting that i still get up at 6am!!!!!
Not much else happening really as have been busy busy with childminding 8 kids so will be relieved when they go back to school next Thursday!!

Take care all.

Hey ladies!!! long time no post!!
Nice to see some of you still around, and hear how our sweeties are growing!
Daisy is just over eight months and delightful as ever. no 'real' crawling but standing and comtemplating walking -lord help me! smiley, cute and just heavenly. i LOVE having four kids its great, much easier than 2 IMO!! it just 'flows' more and all works out!
Hope to catch up with you all properly
DQ..x

sweetheart · 11/09/2006 16:30

I think it's about time for my monthly post!

DQ great to hear from you, I'd love to get back to the old days where we'd all chat lots and lots. It's great to hear that you and your family are doing so well!

Ninah - If you get chance to read this, I got your letter and it was lovely to hear from you. I will write back very soon. Take care, hugs to you and the kids!

Well, Lucas was 9 months last week, we had him and dd christened a couple of weeks ago and we had a lovely family day. The poor little thing woke up with a horrible cold the day before and as he is cutting his first 2 teeth it seems to be lingering. I constantly have a tissue with me at the moment.

He got the hang of crawling a few weeks ago and is now a pro (much to out cats disgust). He likes nothing better than to follow the cat round grabbing at it's fir.

He's getting very confident at cruising and has even started to let go of things and stand on his own. Although when he relises he either gets worried and grabs hold, or gets very excited and falls over.

He is such a little joy, I never thought I could love another one as much as dd. She is back at school now and the pair of them are missing each other so much. Although since Lucas has been crawling I have heard her say "Muuummmmmm, he's ruining my game" In a top notch wingeing voice. A glimpse of the future I think!

It would be great to hear how you are all doing. Am missing not logging onto MN for a good old chat now I'm back at work part time.

bonkerz · 15/09/2006 12:03

Cant believe its been 3 weeks since i last posted. Maybe we need a new thread?????????

Alex-Leigh is doing well, she is crawling expertly now and loves being on her feet, is a danger in her walker and also getting quite clingy to me which is not good considering i have 2 two year olds who also want my attention!
On the teeth from she has 2 bottom middle teeth and (VERY STRANGE) she has got her incisor at the top! Looks odd when she smiles and you get a flash of white fang!! She has been suffering really bad with her teething and am keeping her dosed up to help ease it a bit.
Bens back at school which makes life a whole lot easier and toddler groups are back on so we are out of the house every morning 4 days a week which is great!
Am starting to think about having another baby now....had a scare 5 weeks ago and was convinced i didnt want one but now im very broody and DH has agreed to try again!
Have made the decision to come off my anti-ds this week, all going well so far although my mums anniversary of death is on 15th october and i have got to get through that yet BUT i have managed to book OCtober FULL of nice things and going out alot (not that hard as its my birthday then too and i have a weeks off for hols in devon!) Trying to take it day by day!!

Elinorsmum · 16/09/2006 22:09

Hi there, my name is Laura. I haven't posted previously but I have a little girl Elinor who was born on 9th December 2005. Reading some of your latest posts it all sounds very familiar! Elinor has her two bottom teeth and seems to be suffering from teething pains most days. She is very vocal and has a glass shattering screech which can be quite hard to cope with and is especially embarassing in restaurants!
Elinor doesn't crawl yet but does manage to make her way around using SAS style rolls and pulling herself around the place! I am very much looking forward to her being able to walk which would be nice if it happened around Christmas time.
We are glad that all the mother and baby groups are starting up again next week as we find these really helpful so we are out of the house as i tend to get a little lonely when it's just myself and Elinor.

Do you all belong to many baby groups? Do you all do any music groups at all? We have just joined Monkey Music which Elinor loved but it is pricey? We also go swimming which I find really relaxing.

I would be really pleased to hear about all your lovely little 9month+ babies!

xxxxx
Laura

flutterbee · 28/09/2006 21:35

Hello everyone,

It has been a very long time since I last posted.

Well George now has 7 teeth and has a bite on him like Jaws He crawls at the speed of light and pulls himself up everywhere and cruises along all the furniture. We suspect walking is only a few weeks away if not less. He has also mastered the step we have in our hallway he flys up and down it and races us to the front door on most occasions

I have returned to college and I am doing a 2 year access to nursing course, next year I shall decide whether I want to do my nursing degree or do the midwifery degree (I suspect I will do nursing then midwifery just so I have a larger skill base) I am finding it pretty good fun but its only the second week so we shall see what happenes. George has gone to a childminder for the 2 days I am at college and he is loving it.

I can not believe that he will be one soon, infact it will be in approx 6 weeks time. I'm planning to have invites sent out to familyu members and will lay on a party buffet and fill the front room with loads of balloons as George loves them and it will kepp his nieces and nephews happy. We have bought him a ball pit with tunnel and 300 balls as the childminder has told us how much he loves theirs.

Love to all the December mummies and babies (and suposed to be december mummies like me) can any of us actually remember this time last year? I know that it was about know that dh and I relocated 200 miles down the country with out a clue that 4 weeks later my waters would break and 6 weeks later I would go into labour It just seems a million miles away.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Nemo1977 · 28/09/2006 21:40

pmsl I can remember this time last year as currently feel like I am going through a slight deja vu but with one more child than I had..
Congrates on your course flutterbee nursing is a good career. Cant believe your little man is nearly one.

Not a lot going on here..Hannah has been ill again last week and is teething like a demon this week with horrendous nappy rash to go with it. Adam is 3 soon which seems mad and of course I am nearly 25wks gone...apart from that nothing going on.

MINNIE1 · 29/09/2006 15:56

Hello ladies,

Lisa is doing fine, has the 2 bottom 2 top teeth.. Not without hassel, sleepless nights, nappy rash, runny nose but glad she is over them lot. Poor divil its awful to see them unsettled. She is getting so big, flying in the walker and doing circles on her belly, but she goes wild when you hold her hands and let her walk. She is a little tresure. Its funny when i give her the last bottle at night she cuddles in and rubs my belly, its so cute little hand and huge belly!
i'm on the count down (again) 8wks to go. have developed UTI and thrush. Cant wait for this little one to come along and be not pg for a while.
Flutter,
Wishing you all the best on your course, i would love to do somthing in that area.

ninah · 30/09/2006 21:21

scully · 04/10/2006 09:18

Just wanted to say a big hello and goodbye to you all, as we fly out of the UK on Sunday 8/10, back to Brisbane, after 11yrs over here
Our house is sold, all wordly possessions are on a container somewhere in the ocean and we staying with friends, having spent last week in Ireland on holiday. Feeling a mixture of excitement, nerves and sadness, but I'm sure we'll settle fairly quickly once we have a home out there and a school organised for dd1. dd2 is crawling all over the place, has 6 teeth and is very close to walking, probably just as we board the plane
Having 6 nights in Thailand on the way down under, should break up the trip nicely
Hope everyone else is happy and healthy and good luck for Nemo and Minnie with the impending due dates!

MINNIE1 · 05/10/2006 10:49

sweetheart · 12/10/2006 14:00

Hi all,

Well it's another month gone by - doesn't time fly!

Ninah - I'm really sorry I haven't been in touch - work has been manic and I've had loads to organise but thats no excuse! I shall pen you a large e-mail asap, in the meantime I hope you and the kids are keeping well!

How is everyone else, I can't believe that some of you are nearly ready to drop with the next baby - I just can't imagine!

We are all doing well. My weight loss has slowed down (alot) but at least I'm not putting weight on.

Lucas is still a absolute little monkey which I love about him - he got his hand stuck in my mums vcr the other day and it's not the 1st thing he's got his hand stuck in!

We had a very bad week with him a couple of weeks ago as the poor little mite cut his first 4 teath all in one week. Luckily he's over the worst of it now and my smiley little boy has returned instead of the monster that was lodging with us!

I'm waiting for him to walk so I can join our local Tumbletots class. I seem to spend all my days off doing housework and food shopping so I'm going to sign up and spend some time devoted to him alone! I don't think he's far off - perhaps a few weeks until all hell breaks loose in our house.

I'm in the process of planning his borthday already and I can't believe it! I need to be organised with xmas around the corner - we also have a wedding in Dec so money will be tight! I made a gift list this morning and have been trying to think of ideas for his party - what are you all doing for your lo's 1st birthdays?

Have lots of pregnant women around me at the mo so I'm hoping it doesn't make me broody - I really feel our little family is perfect atm and I don't want any wild hormones spoiling that!

The relationship between dd and ds is getting better every day - just when I think they can't love each other more they prove me wrong. They make a formidable brother/sister team - god help me when they are teenagers!

Scully - hope you can still check in from Oz - good luck and best wishes from us here in cold and wet old England!

sweetheart · 12/10/2006 14:01

gosh - that was a bit long wasn't it - sorry!!!

bonkerz · 21/10/2006 12:50
