DECEMBER 2005: SETTLING DOWN???????

Hope no one minds but i thought id start a new thread as the last one was so long!!!

HOpe you are all well.
Sweetheart: CONGRATULATIONS on passing the exam! What a massive achievement for you! WELL DONE
George: I have gone through all Aelx-Leighs clothes too and had to sort through all the next age bracket, its so upsetting isnt it!
SCULLY: Alex is also a very windy baby! She is definately her daddies girl in that department IYKWIM
FLUTTER: hows George doing now with wind etc? Did you try gaviscon? fingers crossed fort he flat, bet you cant wait to get your own space again!
EBBIE: how are things with you babe?
Jays: How are things with Harriette??
Nemo? Where are you?? Hope you and kids all ok, how is DH new job going?
After the nightmare i had on MOnday i ended up having to take Alex-Leigh back to the doctors on friday. Gaviscon worked a treat for 3 days and the on Thursday she started vomiting again and screaming in pain. We booked to see a different GP at the surgery who was great and immediately diagnosed REFLUX and has put Alex on ENFAMIL milk which goes solid in the tummy thus preventing her from regurgitating the whole bottle and stomach acid. She seems to be doing ok, still getting some sick but very small amounts comapred to before! Was discharged from Therepy on Friday, therepist said i had worked really hard to start the grieving process and has said she is happy im well on my way and wants me to stay on anti depressants for 6 months. Dh has handed in his notice at work, long story but he is no longer happy there, this means he now has 6 weeks to find himself another job or we will be in a very bad situation!!! Im trying to be supportive but its hard! I start back at work in 2 weeks and am looking forward to finally earning some money again, although what i earn will not be enough to pay bills if DH doesnt get a job!
Got to go as Alex has just woken up from her nap!

Take care all.

ohhh so jealous of all the sleeping through babies. Hannah went from being a fantastic sleeper but then with the reflux is awful now. She wakes up a few times a night at the minute but then she was only taking about 18-20ozs a day. Hopefully that will start to increase with the new milk and make her sleep better. I am shattered as I stupidly never go to bed before 12 and then with being up 2-3 times then adam getting up at 6.30 I only tend to get about 3hrs a night sleep and no chance of catching up in the day. When one of mine is asleep in the day the other decides it is hyper time..typical..lol

georgeandwigglyjake · 23/03/2006 12:17

Sorry SH, missed your post about Lucas sleeping through earlier. Congratulations Grin What a turn-around for him. You must be delighted to get some sleep at last.

I've decided that if Jake is going to be mardy anyway I will take the opportunity to move him into his cot (the moses basket is a bit of a squeeze!).

Hi Ebbie, hope you are OK. I think we are all creeping back slowly......

Poor you Nemo, sounds rough for you at the moment.

I guess I should make the most of Jakey being down for a nap and have a doze myself (Ha, Ha, wathc him wake the minute I close my eyes Smile)

georgeandwigglyjake · 23/03/2006 12:18

Flutter, sounds like we are both having busy nights. Was gazing out of the window at the stars this morning & was wondering which of us would be awake.

Right.....sleep time for me.....

rachc · 23/03/2006 14:37

hello all
am very lucky, although have hyper toddler, baby holly is a dream (at the moment). feed at 7pm then bed, dream feed at 11pm and sleep til 6am. don't get any chance to really rest during the day, doing up the house so it is a bit chaotic, about to get worse when the bathroom is done in next few weeks.
Nemo, did you manage to get anywhere with new medication for Hannah?
have you all been chatting since before the babes arrived? I hope you don't mind me joining you, would be nice to have a few more people to chat to, DH works long hours so it is a long day.

flutterbee · 23/03/2006 15:28

rachc, yes we are all from the due in december thread keeping each other sane Grin Its great to have another Decmber mum join us the more the merrier, it can be a bit quiet at the moment with everyone busy with the babies but when it gets going there no shutting up most of us.

You sound like you have your hands full, it's wonderful isn't it (slightly derranged emoticon)

MINNIE1 · 23/03/2006 15:36

Went to the doctors and she did her test and a faint line came up!! Now this happened when i was last expecting. So I did what i did last time.. Bough a clearblue and came up positive stright away.. The doctor gave me 2 test and there only the Acon ones i never had any luck with them... I dont think there as strong as the clearblue..

Well girls i think i am up the duff again, but i will test again Sat morning to be sure and see if the lines on the acon tests are getting stronger..

Have to go have lisa her screaming!!

flutterbee · 23/03/2006 16:21

OMG OMG OMG Shock Shock I am soooooooo happy for you and although I paniced the other week when I thought I may be I am actually jealous of you, God why did I tell DH I would wait a year before ttc again.

FINGERS CROSSED, KEEP US POSTED.

ei23 · 23/03/2006 19:04

hi everyoneGrin
OMG minnie congratulations!! my dp has decided that we are having another one soon as sian is lovely!! how do you feel about bein pg?? im having serious thoughts about trying for number 2 soon!! i was dead against it at first but it would be nice have my kiddies so close together!!
hi there everyone else!!
on the subject of sleep! i cant remember what a full night sleep feels like as i was an insomniac through my pg with sian so its been nearly a year since i managed a full night without waking up!!Smile sian has reverted back to waking 3-4 times during the night for a feed which the health visitor said may be a growth spurt so who knows maybe by next week she will have doubled in size... sian i mean not the health visitor!!haha
anywho im off now as my angel is calling me from the next room c u guys later xx

rachc · 23/03/2006 19:08

flutterbee and all, i look forward to the good gossips. i do have my hands full, but yes it is great.
i keep having to remind myself that we aren't having anymore (definite no no from DH). am quite sad really.

rachc · 23/03/2006 19:10

it is definitely great having 2 close together (2 years between mine), am hoping they will be really close when they get older, especially as they are both girls.
well done minnie, it is very exciting.

Nemo1977 · 23/03/2006 20:32

minnie congrates.

rach thanks for asking..hannah seems to be doing a lot better at the minute and today is on 6oz bottlesShockAbout not having anymore that is exactly what my Dh said and he was even saying he was going for the snip. Now he has agreed I can have one last baby. I know what you mean about being run off your feet with 2 little ones, Adam was 2.2yrs when I had Hannah. I am just lucky that he is a really laid back little boy so hoping for the same for Hannah. They both seem to absolutely adore each other and Hannah has the biggest grin when she sees her big brother!!!

bonkerz · 23/03/2006 21:06

Hi all,

Nemo: glad to hear Hannah is picking up!!!
Minnie! Congrats to you, you are one brave ladeeee! After thinking i wanted another soon i re-thought and have decided to wait a year but havent discussed it with Dh yet, if he had his way he wants to try again in June!!!
Things all fine here. Alex sleeping through stil, im spending way too much money on clothes she will only ever wear once because she is growing at an enormous rate (14lb 6oz yesterday!)
Rach, welcome. We had our babies on the same day!!!!! Good day to have a daughter i say!!!
gonna go now cos i am shattered! Currently looking after 2 two year olds and Alex-Leigh and 6 under 5 on a tuesday as well as having DS poorly for 2 days this week so despite alex sleeping through im still knackered!

Hello again Minnie, and congratulations! wow! Glad you had a good break, George. STILL no news on house I'm afraid, they were valuing my friend's house this morning and giving her all this flannel about constant feedback, quick sale etc - mmmm. Plan to review things with agent soon.
As for photos I was daft enough to ask someone to come round to do us and OMG by the time they show you stuff you HAVE to have it so I ended up with an expensive morning. I'm taking part in an exhibition over Easter and was planning to use any money I make to extend my mat leave but looks like I'll still be paying off the photographer, what a sucker! they are lovely, tho ...
Still a long way off from sleeping thro the night here.

dd2 has developed a nasty cold, think I might take her to the dr this afternoon as we are supposed to be flying to Italy tomorrow night.....
I also had a lovely day yesterday, the dd's bought me a pedicure, manicure, facial and massage Smile and dh made me a lovely dinner with champagne.

sweetheart · 27/03/2006 18:54

welcome to rach - lovely to have you with us.

Kangle - it's great to hear from you. Hopefully you'll be able to get ona bit more now your back online.

Ninah - I know only too well how those photographs can add up - we got Lucas done last week and now I'm trying to figure out how to pay for another lot of both the kids together!

Scully - sorry to hear dd2 isn't feeling too well, there is alot of it about in our area. The business thing was to becomme a "Home Inspector" As of next year every house that goes on the market will have to have an inspection and there are a lack of qualified people. I'm thinking of starting a business doing it but it means going back to college AGAIN!!! I've only just finished one course! I wonder if I may be taking on too much?!?!?!

I'm going for lunch with my boss tomorrow to discuss going back to work. I only have about another 10 weeks before I'm due back. I think he might be interested in this new business to and I'm hoping I can roll it all into one.

Mothers day was pretty good here. Dd stayed at my mums so I started the day with a lay in. Dd had made me a card and prezzie at school and dh brought me some tulips (my fav) from Lucas.

Love to everyone else.
