DECEMBER 2005: SETTLING DOWN???????

Hope no one minds but i thought id start a new thread as the last one was so long!!!

HOpe you are all well.
Sweetheart: CONGRATULATIONS on passing the exam! What a massive achievement for you! WELL DONE
George: I have gone through all Aelx-Leighs clothes too and had to sort through all the next age bracket, its so upsetting isnt it!
SCULLY: Alex is also a very windy baby! She is definately her daddies girl in that department IYKWIM
FLUTTER: hows George doing now with wind etc? Did you try gaviscon? fingers crossed fort he flat, bet you cant wait to get your own space again!
EBBIE: how are things with you babe?
Jays: How are things with Harriette??
Nemo? Where are you?? Hope you and kids all ok, how is DH new job going?
After the nightmare i had on MOnday i ended up having to take Alex-Leigh back to the doctors on friday. Gaviscon worked a treat for 3 days and the on Thursday she started vomiting again and screaming in pain. We booked to see a different GP at the surgery who was great and immediately diagnosed REFLUX and has put Alex on ENFAMIL milk which goes solid in the tummy thus preventing her from regurgitating the whole bottle and stomach acid. She seems to be doing ok, still getting some sick but very small amounts comapred to before! Was discharged from Therepy on Friday, therepist said i had worked really hard to start the grieving process and has said she is happy im well on my way and wants me to stay on anti depressants for 6 months. Dh has handed in his notice at work, long story but he is no longer happy there, this means he now has 6 weeks to find himself another job or we will be in a very bad situation!!! Im trying to be supportive but its hard! I start back at work in 2 weeks and am looking forward to finally earning some money again, although what i earn will not be enough to pay bills if DH doesnt get a job!
Got to go as Alex has just woken up from her nap!

Take care all.

sian is now sitting up on her own wit just a little support! i was amazed when she did it first time but now its all the time!!
anywho... how is everyone?? luv 2 you all xx

Jaysfirst · 22/04/2006 21:13

just to let you know... after all i posted, Harriette, was DF last night at 10, then slept through till, about 6 ish.... she woke once in the night about 1, but DH got up and gave her a dummy....which she sucked for a few mins b4 falling asleep! ( great minds Sweetheart!! Wink)This is the fourth time in the past 6 wks she slept through, am wondering what tonight will bring. I bought some rusks and baby rice today. The HV said if i felt she wasnt getting enough milk then i could try some ( shes a big demanding thing ) but i will see if she goes through on her own for a bit befored i try it!
Nice pic of your babes Bonkerz, crazy how much they are growing huh!! DH and i have decided that we would like me to be pregnant again by the end of the year....heheheh i cant wait, i wish it wasnt such a long time ( nine mths i mean) id like to just skip to the birth !
Ei, i do have some formula in the cupboard and have thought about it as a last feed, will bear it in mind for a few weeks if she still isnt going through.
Did anyone see the programme on channel four, life before birth i think it was called, wow some amazing stuff on it, to think we have all been through it, at least once!!

AGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGH

Alex-Leigh has got to be teething!!
She has been So grumpy this afternoon and i ended up curling up with her in my bed for 2 hours. She slept fine whilst in the crook of my arm but the minute i put her down she screamed. HAve just got her off again but in her bouncer(lays down flat!)
Dh has just put the bouncer with alex in into the cot! I have been so spoilt with a baby who sleeps through the night and now she is waking its really getting me down! Silly me though cos i forgot to take my happy pills for 3 days!! DUH DUH
Am trying all the remedies available! Bonjela, anbesol, ashton and parsons powders BUT her cheeks are still red raw and she is pooing for englans so her bum is sore! I completely forgot what this was like! Have definately put haveing another one on hold for ATLEAST a year or two!!!

All is well here DD is staring to wake in the night so i am really thinking of starting her on rice, but here its one tellin me do it and another saying dont. ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE SEND MY WAY.

I had bleeding last week and though o this is it no2 is gone but had a scan to see the little heartbeat and was soooo over the moon. The though of having 2 under one scares me but the though of MC really scared me. So bleeding has stoped for now and morning sickness is keeping me company!! yipee

sweetheart · 29/04/2006 10:33

Hi all, hope everyone is doing OK. We have had a terrible few days with Lucas - he has had a high temp and been screaming non stop - day and night! I have had very little sleep for the last 5 nights and am feeling knackered. Not sure if it down to the weaning or teething. Maybe he has a cold or something?!?!?

Wish I knew how to help him feel better though Sad

Jaysfirst · 29/04/2006 20:22

aww sweaheart, i know what you mean! Harriette has got a viral infection which has given her a streaming nose, red raw throat, hoarse cough and en ear infection! I feel so bad for her poor wee thing, docs hae said to just give calpol every four hours and to go back to them if shes no better over a period of three days, apparently they are reluctant to give anti biotics as she needs to build up her immune system. Its horrid though not being able to 'make it better' for her. We have had a bad two days and nights but it seems to be starting to get a bit better now and i have put her down at her normal time, in order to not disrupt her routine too much. Prior to this episode she had slep three nights in a row, through from 7 - 5.... cant see that happening again for a while!
Anyway eough of me going on i am off to see if i have won the lottery!!! Smile

awayninahmanger · 29/04/2006 21:40

Well I hope you have, jay! mind you with Harriette sleeping in the main from 7-5 I'd say jackpot! sorry she is not too good atm - and sh -hope Lucas perks up soon. Arianna is getting bigger and bonnier by the minute wish I'd discovered the joys of motherhood a lot sooner, I could've been a 'gymslip mum' and had about 9 by now - not wth p, obviously - maybe with a musician with a large farm in Glos - mmmm

bonkerz · 29/04/2006 22:12

HI all, sorry babies are not too good jays and SH.

Alex is now on 3 meals a day and managing to sleep through from 6pm till between 5/6am without a dream feed which is good cos she is growing at a rate of knots and i cant keep up with her! She gets her grumpy patches between 4 and 6 where her cheeks glow and she cant be comforted! 3-6 month dresses are now too short for her and im considering going out to buy frilly pants cos she has hardly worn the dresses! Still not rolling over but can move round the floor in a snake like fashion! She is never where i left her at the moment!
Dh starts his new job on TUesday BUT will be away all next week and has another 2 weeks away within the next 7 weeks. Am really dreading him being away! Hate nights here on my own and i just know Alex-Leigh will roll over for the first time while he is away and hopefully cut her first tooth too!!
Got a night at the pub planned tomorrow night! MIL is looking after the children while me and DH go out and we are staying at there house to be there for Alex-Leigh in the morning! Not ready to leave her with nanna all night yet!!
Nemo: any news babe??

scully · 05/05/2006 21:19

Where is everyone this week?? Everyone's little ones keeping them busy Wink dd2 is great, still full of smiles and quite a relaxed baby, dd1 is driving me batty this week, do all 4yr olds not listen?
