Morning all
Just making my second catepillar cake for joint party tomorrow for Noah with my neice and nephew.

American, i hope your dad is ok. Can you go visit him?

Wiggles, I can't handle a weeks holiday with dh let along all the sick leave
Mr W has had! And as for babysitting your own children pah! I just asked dh to have the boys later while I give the kitchen a good clean, you'd have thought I'd asked him to do something awful!

Happy birthday little Alice! Hope your feeling ok about work etc Reastie. Forget about it all and enjoy your special weekend.

Deb, when Noahs had a poorly tum I've fed him on toast and bananas for a day then f he's not been sick put him back on normal food the next day.

Blizy, your on my mind as always.

The boys have gone to SoccorTots then were off swimming for Bens reward chart treat. Noah hasnt been for ages so looking forward to seeing hs reaction!

Catch y'all later

ledkr · 25/02/2012 09:29

Sorry to hear about vomit deb are you sure its not the smell of a clean daddy thats triggered it off or all that fresh air?? Grin

44 I never said before but my ds3 had sceptocaemia from the pox.He was 3 and had infected spots and a temp of 40.The gp took him to a and e in his own car Shock I never underestimate cp.

A lentil weaver at work doesnt get her kids vaccinated, she's such a knobber.Had a baby at the same time as me-home birth of course, and she was telling me not to have asection with dills, refusing to acknowledge the fact id had 3 previous ones.So annoying.

expat hope dad is ok,poor you, what a worry.

Pictures are lovely btw everyone.I will add some dills soon. She managed to sleep till 6.45 this am so keep sending those vibes ladies.

blizy Thinking of you and dh this weekend i hope it gives you cause to remember her as well as be sad. She taught you so much in her short time.

Ella has her first bugsy rehearsal today. Its beautiful here so i will take Dills to the park whilst Ella is in the theatre.

Dills is in better spiritd today,i think its cos Ella is here,i am going to do a few more groups with her on my days off,i think she gets bored here tbh.

ledkr · 25/02/2012 09:30

Oops happy Birthday Alice

blizy · 25/02/2012 12:13

ledkr I hope the rehearsal goes well, what part is Ella playing?
Shock at no immunisations, poor children. Who would do that, surely it is putting your children at risk?

I have had an eventful morning, I had to take me wee bro (17yo) to a&e. He had a fight with a fence. The fence won. Resulting in a broken hand.Shock

k2togm1 · 25/02/2012 12:24

Hello all!
wiggles Grin at the babysitting!
Given that so many of you say that you find it hard with the mr being around I feel better given my dh is around all the time ('works' from home) and the fact that I find it so hard to stand him, obviously before ds I was out all day. I really don't know what to do with dh, we obviously just need a good dtd, but I am always so pissed off with him that cannot bring myself to do it and he knows better than to ask.
ledkr not all home birth advocates are lentil weavers and knitters Wink, I so wanted a home birth, but would not hesitate to vaccinate, and found out recently that a friend hasn't had her kids vaccinated, and they came to visit when P was a couple of weeks old (hers are 2 and 4 yo)! I got so angry, make the decision for your own kids if you want, but don't put at risk others'! (which is obviously the whole point as they can't always be isolated from other kids, so it's higly irresponsible imo).

americanexpat · 25/02/2012 13:30

Happy birthday, Alice! I'm sure your mum has baked you an impressive cake. Grin

I had an email from my mum overnight that he's still in the ICU, they put in a few stents and will do more on Monday. This is the 3rd close call he's had and he's only 59. He said he really thought he was going to die this time so maybe he'll realise he needs to quit smoking and improve his health (but I'm not hopeful). Sadly I've been expecting something like this to happen for a while. Sad

wiggles - "babysitting" your own children is a pet peeve of mine.

Right, quick nap while L is napping. I went to step this morning and am absolutely knackered. I'm still not 100% after being ill last weekend.

Four4me · 25/02/2012 14:41

american So please to hear that your Dad is stable and in good hands. Such a worry for you especially being so far away. Thinking of you.

Alice reastie happy birthday little lady, have a wonderful day x

Both emski and granny hope you have fabby parties.

wiggles Grin at you being a cheap date with a take away! I'm a happy girl if dh suggests a take away for our tea, throw in some ice cream for pud and I'm past myself!!

blizy hope you are ok? Hope your dbro's hand isn't too sore.

deb hope Imy is ok today?

ledkr the gp was worried about Imogen and her temp, I even packed a bag for me and her incase we needed to whip her through to Harrogate hospital. She was shuddering with her temp, i mega dosed her up, bathed her and washed her hair which cooled her down. She is lots better, she looks awful though with loads of angry red scabs over her. Hope she gets away with no or minimal scars. Well done Dilly this morning long may it continue. Hope Ella enjoys her rehearsal.

blizy · 25/02/2012 15:02

Oh american, it must be such a relief for you. My Dad has heart problems too, he had a heart attack in front of me when I was 18 (my not so dm, said it was my fault because I didn't hoover the living room), it was very scarey. He too had stents put in and has been fine ever since.

44me I hope Imogen is on the mend, poor little girl. It have been horrid for you to see her so ill.

My db is fine, strangely proud of his break- bloody boys and their war wounds. he is worrying though, he has applied to join the army and the fitness test is coming up soon. Hopefully the muppet has learned his lesson!

I am coping well today, keeping myself busy cleaning the bathrooms and Zoe's place in the living room. I cheered myself up by ordering sky tv, fed up of freeview! dh will be happy .Grin

ledkr · 25/02/2012 15:59

blizy oooo sky is fab,we will be able to talk about all the shows,im a complete tv addict Blush Ella is not got a part she is a dancer, and has her own special tap routine as well [proud mama]

Its soooo beautiful today,i took d for a walk around town in the sunshine and for a play in the elc. I bought her a doll in another toy shop it is a baby alive that talks giggles and bounces. It was 12 quid reduced form 27 and she loves it so much i had to get it,she hugs it and giggles at it its hilarious Grin then suddenly started crying and chucked it on the floor haha. Just like a normal mum with a baby.

tadjennyp · 25/02/2012 17:36

Happy birthday Alice reastie! Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Glad your Dad is a bit better expat - I hope you get to see him soon.

Poor Imogen - I hope her spots and fever clear up soon 44.

Typical boy blizy! I hope he passes the fitness test or can get it put back.

Well done Ella - opportunity knocks!

Envy of the caterpillar cake! Hope you have a lovely party emski.

Did you find that travel cot granny? I hope Nate enjoys himself more today!

I don't know how you cope with dh working from home all the time k2. It's bad enough when dh works all evening as I feel I have to be quiet and let him get on with it. I couldn't keep 3 kids away from him in the day too! You must be a saint. Grin

I hope work sorts itself out for you wiggles and MrW is back on his feet and in work really soon.

Dh has just taken Anna up to her skiing lesson. There are 6 inches of snow lying down here and goodness knows how much on the road up to the mountain. I'm a bit concerned as we don't have 4WD but dh seems to think he'll just put the snow chains on. Fingers crossed! Confused

Sending good eating vibes to all the babies. Hope you have a great Saturday night.

blizy · 25/02/2012 18:03

Granny- did you get a travel cot? I didn't think, you could have borrowed mine.

Yikes about the snow tad, I hope your Dh doesn't get stuck!

No good eating here I'm afraid, Dh is cooking a curry for dinner and we have some tortilla chips and dip for later.Blush oh and I defo did not eat a double decker and a caramel for lunch.BlushGrin

blizy · 25/02/2012 18:04

Ha ha ha, just realised you meant to say good sleeping!Grin

reastie · 25/02/2012 18:38

blizy Grin to your lunch choices (and a little Envy ) and complete Shock at your mums comment on hoovering

knitta things sound strained still between you and DH - must be hard if he's about all the time

american glad your dad is a bit better. If stints (or whatever they're called) are good enough for prince philip they're good enough for your dad Wink . I hope he continues to get better, it must be so hard living so far away. Btw Grin to your cake comment, I've made Alice 2 cakes Blush for tomorrow (her birthday party) - a carrot cake and an orange cake

four4 oh dear, you really have had it all with illness recently haven't you Sad

ledkr go Ella, and I hope it doesn't involve too much driving about for you

wiggles Hmm at MrW needing more time off. Hope the split shft went well

deb how is Imy?

Thanks for the bday wishes. Have had a nice day although spoilt by Dh and I having another MIL based argument (started by DH not me) [sigh] . Madly trying to get everything sorted for bday lunch party tomorrow so gtg

ledkr · 25/02/2012 19:04

Oh dear reastie dont let mil isshooos spoil the day.

blizy My mum remembered the time of year and sent you her thoughts. Dh also asked about you today with glassy eyes too Smile I never think Zoe will be forgotten. Dinner sounds nice, you and dh seem so happy these days.

Rehearsal went well. I went for a walk with d and had a coffee in town.

I weighed myself today and havent lost anything since MONDAY,not been cheating AT ALL.Ant sw veterans got any words of wisdom.

debka · 25/02/2012 19:04

Hey everyone,

Been out scouting a show in Brentwood, nice place, dreadful accent . We decided to stop off at IKEA on the way back for lunch, not the best decision with 2 knackered girls Grin Had a lovely walk when we got back though, went to see some horses and gave the dog a run in the sunshine.

Imy seems a lot better today thanks, tired though. No more sick last night.

knitta DH 'works' from home too, things have vastly improved now we've put the girls in together and he has S's room as an office. Before he was trying to work from our open plan living room, nightmare. I do prefer it when he's working away from home though Blush

tad hope all well with the snow!

blizy fabbo lunch, wish I'd had that Grin BTW if it's not too insensitive to ask, when may you be POASing?

american glad your dad's stabilised, but what a worry :( People don't change, do they :(

44me poor Imogen, you'll be so glad when this poxy pox is over. Feeling all nostalgic hearing you talk about Harrogate though, that's where DH lived when we married, lived on Leeds Rd for a while :)

debka · 25/02/2012 19:11

ledkr step away from the scales, weigh yourself on Monday at the same time as last week, betcha you will have lost.

blizy · 25/02/2012 19:23

Ledkr- that's lovely of your mum and Dh, tell them both thank you.
Dh and I are very happy, but remember we are still the newly wed loved up bubbleGrin.

Debka- I don't poas until/if period is late. It should arrive between 1st-3rd March, I know this is not the month though. I'm not too fussed this time as feb is Zoe's month.
Sounds like you had a lovely day.

Reastie- try not to let mil get to you, just you focus on your gorgeous girl. I hope the party goes well.

Four4me · 25/02/2012 20:17

Evening all.

reastie enjoy Alice's special weekend, forget family issues. I bet her cakes are yom yom.

Yes we have had a bad run of illness with me having both mastitis and tonsillitis, then the nasty d&v bug and then Archie and Imogen getting chickenpox. But today I had one of those moments that are totally priceless and made me forget the masses of shitty nappies and vomit I've cleaned up and the horrid worry of poorly babies..... After her lunchtime bath and spot creams, Imogen wanted 'a cuggie (cuddle)' and she said 'mummy you are my lovely princess!!' she is normally a little Tom boy and a bit of a buzz bomb so it was very cute of her.

Enjoy Saturday evening.

Massive spotty hugs from Yorkshire for Mr and Mrs Blizy xxx

ILovePonyo · 25/02/2012 22:12

Hi all, hope Alice has enjoyed her birthday reastie :) What is it with mils spoiling things atm...

tadj Shock at A skiing, wow! How did they get on?!

blizy yay to sky tv, I;m another tv fan Grin Oh and I am jelous of your lunch, we had leftover curry for tea today, was yum.

Four4 aww :) That is so cute, glad it made up for all the spots and poo Wink

knitta good point re: vaccinating (or not), I wouldn;t hesitate to get A vaccinated but never thought of it the other way round. V irresponsible visiting a newborn with unvac'd children.

We took A swimming again today, she was less impressed but then the pool was freeeezing.

Am tired so sorry to all the people I've missed, we have just watched last nights Walking Dead - ooh it was tense! Bed soon, night all x

wigglesrock · 26/02/2012 08:18

blizy xxxx, lots of love to you, dh and Zoe.
