Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MizK · 24/02/2012 10:04

Morning all. Am so bad at keeping up, very remiss of me since I am still a SAHM with no job keeping me away.
hubbard hope all goes well with Tom's op x
four4 poor Imogen, hope she feels lots better after her sleep.
blizy hand holding from me, I often feel sad thinking about Zoe, and yet again want you to know we all think you are doing amazingly. Maybe once the stress and heartache of her birthday is over things will feel a little easier xxxxx
emski I am the same as you re legs being saving grace, sometimes I fool people into thinking I'm slim by showing legs and hiding cottage cheese tummy mwah ha ha!
Ladies has anybody had their little darling weighed lately? Cass is now 25 pounds 10.5 oz and on the 98th centile. Teeny bit concerned as she seems gargantuan. Her little pal at baby group is a week older and weighs around 18 pounds. Reassure me please? Please!!

Four4me · 24/02/2012 10:12

Ah mizk Imogen was nearly 26lb at one year old. I was looking at the older three's red book when Archie was weighed last week. He is nearly 21lb but had been ill with d&v the week before. Anyway I am always glad that Imogen has plenty in reserve, she has hardly eaten this week as she has a mouth full of chickenpox. I don't need to stress about her eating as if she losses some weight she will be fine. I just let her eat what she fancies when she is ill. I'm sure Cass is totally scummy. Stress not, they are all different. X

Grannyapple · 24/02/2012 10:29

Hi ladies...sorry not been on much..N had a bit of d & v at the w/e...it's cleared just in time for his b'day today...we are now sitting at Gatwick airport waiting on our flight to Glasgow, so that he can have his party at his gran's...& I don't need to worry too much about food, decorations & mess Smile

blizy sounds like a lovely way to celebrate Zoe's birthday xxx

americanexpat · 24/02/2012 11:02

MizK - L was 21 lbs 5 oz on Wednesday (50th centile). Is she walking? I think once they start walking, they get a bit slimmer. My dad knows a woman whose 10 month old baby is 43 lbs. Shock

hubbard - I was thinking of you and Tom this morning, meant to send you a message on Facebook but didn't have time (blocked at work). I hope everything goes well.

blizy - sounds like a lovely birthday tribute for Zoe.

Borg - smug, eh? How's N sleeping at night? Grin

L seems to be fine, had an epic dirty nappy last night but not loose at all. The other baby was at nursery this morning as well, so hopefully they're not just incubating it. Hmm

americanexpat · 24/02/2012 11:02

Grannyapple - happy birthday to Nate!

hubbard - happy birthday to Freya as well!

blizy · 24/02/2012 11:24

Happy birthday Nate! Granny the sun is shining up here today- a bit blowy though. Hope you have a lovey weekend and that Nate has a fab party.

Four4me · 24/02/2012 11:32

Happy first birthday to Freya and Nate.

Hope Tom is ok hubbard

Shock that the poorly child was allowed back in nursery expat I would not have been very happy.

americanexpat · 24/02/2012 11:39

44me - not the vomiting one! The other baby had a loose nappy yesterday as well but obv not turned into anything since he was back today. I would be a bit Angry if the ill one was there but they have a 48hr rule.

blizy - sun is shining here as well. It looks quite nice until you step outside and nearly get blown away. Grin

k2togm1 · 24/02/2012 12:10

mizk that is a big girl you've got! S was 9kg a month or so ago, 50th centile, but she's grown again since then I'm sure. expat I am Shock at the 43lb 10mo!!

Imy was randomly sick again this morning, sat looking sorry for herself for 20 minutes then had some breakfast and has been fine since then. Weird.

I am going great guns at sw this week, not a single cheat so far Grin. Running tonight too, I will be slim, I will be fit...

reastie · 24/02/2012 15:39

Happy birthday to Nate and Freya.

Boo to all the illness still doing the rounds.

Lovely new photos!

Gotta dash and pick Anna up from school. Will try and post later, but have a birthday party to go to. If not, have wonderful Friday evenings and weekends! x

wigglesrock · 24/02/2012 19:36

Hubbard Happy Birthday Freya and well done Tom

Grannyapple Happy Birthday Nate

MizK lovely photos Grin, Anna is huge, I have no idea what she weighs Blush but she is very tall and has huge feet!

k2togm1 P is gorgeous, really yummy

blizy xx your plans sound lovely

Quiet enough here, had alright day at work and doing a split shift tomorrow [double pants], but 'tis Bs christening on Sunday, so am dusting down my fairy Godmother dress Grin

Mr W went to Occupational Health to get ok to start back to work on Monday, but wasn't given it Shock, they don't want him to even go near work for at least another 2 weeks and even then he'll be phased back - jammy bugger Grin

OP posts:
americanexpat · 24/02/2012 21:12

wiggles - another 2 weeks? You might be thinking divorce by then. Grin

Have just had a call from my sister that my dad is critically ill in hospital with heart problems. He was blue-lighted to the hospital and wasn't sure if he was going to make it but he seems to have bounced back. This is the part I hate about being so far away. Sad

hubbard86 · 24/02/2012 21:26

Thanks for all your well wishes for tom and birthday ones for Freya.
The whole op was horrible for me, never have i ever been so scared in my life. Placing my baby in other peoples hands was so hard. But we're back home now and its over with for now. They did find an enlarged vein on the left-hand side which will need monitoring but hopefully cauterizing it will stop the nosebleeds but only time will tell.

We opened tom opened Freyas presents when we got home and she was most chuffed with the dolly I got from ebay and redressed and the hosts daisy teddy which she refused to let go of so has taken it to bed. Cake and ice cream went down a treat. She's having a lil friends party tomorrow and dhs family (the ones I like) on Sunday. But another of Freyas friends is one today too so we've got her party to.

Happy birthday Nate
Your plans sound lovely blizy, will be lighting a candle tomorrow and Monday.

blizy · 24/02/2012 21:42

I just popped on for a nosey,

American- I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I praying everything will be ok and sending you a huge hug. He is in the best place and I'm sure the doctors will be taking. very good care of him. xxxx

Hubbard - I'm glad T is ok and F had a good birthday. Hope she enjoys her parties! It's Zoe's special days Sunday and Tuesday, a candle will be very fitting - thank you.

hubbard86 · 24/02/2012 21:55

Sorry blizy, I'm terrible with dates and seem to have lost a day. Will light it Sun and Tue.

Meant to say upsy daisy not hosts. Stupid presumptive phone.

k2togm1 · 24/02/2012 21:58

reastie I can't get that link to work. Tell me about those teeth! two months of horrendous teething, 4 down at once and now a lovely 'bite and pull' habit...

expat hope it all turns out ok, I know how hard it is being so far away Sad.

Hubbard glad the op was fine and you are back at home, I cannot imagine how it must have been for you though.

blizy that sounds like a lovely thing to do on the day.

ILovePonyo · 24/02/2012 22:01

happy birthday to Nate and Freya!!

Am just doing a quick post as I'm sooo tired... I was adventurous today and took A to 2 new groups, first was messy play where she ate some glitter and sand Hmm She had a good time playing with toys though. Then I took her to swimming later on - finally took her swimming! She loved it and there were some nice (much younger!) girls with their babies there too. At messy play I was v v judgey about a mum who proved me right when she left, bellowing at her daughter "get down those stairs ot I'll throw you down" Hmm I may be judgey but I was clearly right Grin

I have been reading up at day but not been able to post, sorry for self indulgent post. off for sleep now, see you all tomo :)

wigglesrock · 24/02/2012 22:36

american hope your dad is soon on the mend, I know how frightening it can be hearing news like that when you can't be right beside your Dad xxx

I have thawed slightly towards Mr W being at home Grin He bought a surprise takeaway for dinner and I am an exceptionally cheap date! Besides work is fucking about with my nights so its handy having him about for a few weeks - however as I pointed out tersely to him this week you don't babysit your own children - you eejit - its called being a parent.

OP posts:
debka · 24/02/2012 22:48

Bloody hellfire, more sodding sick! She was sick this morning but perked up for her breakfast, bit off colour all day, but has just thrown up again, and it's really stinky this time. She's sitting up with her Daddy atm.

Experienced Maters- what should I do tomorrow? Starve her? Let her eat what she wants? Not sure about all this poorly child business. She's got a bit of a temp now I think but says she doesn't feel sick any more.

I had to move Bean out of the room and into the travel cot so I could strip the bed and clean up, little sweeetheart, she didn't wake when I picked her up, all floppy and gorgeous Smile

expat you must be worried sick, I really hope things are ok for your dad. Will you be able to make an emergency trip to see him?

ponyo Grin at clearly right

wiggles it's going to be a loooong 2 weeks Grin

blizy holding your hand here :) Thanks

tadjennyp · 25/02/2012 04:34

Thinking of you American, and a speedy recovery to your Dad. This is also my worst nightmare. xxx

Hugs and thoughts to blizy. xxx

Hope Imy gets better soon too.

Glad the takeaway was good wiggles! I can't remember ever spending two straight weeks with MrTad so I have no idea how you are managing!

Hope everyone has wonderful weekends. We're watching the Wire season 5 and said dh has just put it on.
