american my granary bread consists of buying a granary bread mix and sticking it in the breadmaker Blush . Good Food website is generally my first port of call FWIW. Btw all that tiredness - you're not pg are you Wink

deb I will pm you later re: meet up Grin

wiggles MrW's week away has gone so quickly! Sounds like a v efficient report from O's parents evening

Alice still not back to normal - apparently spent the morning being a limpet on my mum, she's sleeping now though so housework time

americanexpat · 28/03/2012 14:41

reastie - the shame, you're a cookery teacher! Grin I had a trawl of the GF website and think I'll try this one. No, absolutely not pg! I spent the first trimester sleeping 14 hrs/day last time, not quite that bad now.

wiggles - I'm curious what's on your list for Mr wiggles?

RobinSparkles · 28/03/2012 17:02

Boooo to all of your meet ups! Cliquey sods! Grin

Wiggles, glad O is getting on well at school! She sounds like she's a very bright, popular little girl :)
:o at your little Bruno Mars fans. DD1 is obsessed with that Gotye song Hmm and she likes the Walk Off The Earth version of it on YouTube where the whole band is playing on one guitar! :o

Reastie, how is Alice? Hope she's ok!

Deb, L loves music - she does the same as S. Lots of head nodding, clapping. Her favourite is Row Row Row Your Boat and she gets dead excited when they start singing them at groups!

Hi to everyone else!

Not much to report today (not much to report usually, dead boring me!)
Toddler group this morning, met mum for a coffee this afternoon, went to tesco then school run. As about as exciting as my life gets these days! Wink

tadjennyp · 28/03/2012 17:26

Wise and strong February ladies, please will you say a prayer and light a candle for my cousin's baby Gage who died last night aged four months. Sad He was a much loved first baby in the family, but sadly Allison's Dad hadn't had a chance to meet him as his SIL had died around the time they were supposed to go to Kansas and they had to cancel. Her own Mum died when she and her brother and sister were at school, but her big sister had moved in with them to help her out. They are both distraught. Sad Sad Sad

Thank you very much. xxx

RobinSparkles · 28/03/2012 17:48

Tad, I'm so so sorry. Lots of love to your family. Rest in peace little Gage xxx

blizy · 28/03/2012 18:15

Oh tad I am so, so sorry to hear that horrid news. My thoughts are with you and your family, I will light a candle and hold little Gage in my thoughts tonight. Life is so cruel sometimes. Fly high little man xxx

If you need to talk things through please PM me, if i can help in any way I will. huge hugs to you. x

RobinSparkles · 28/03/2012 18:17

Life is bloody cruel! Not right for a small baby to die (or any child) :(

Four4me · 28/03/2012 18:36

tad just saw that on fb. So terrible. Thinking of your cousin, you and the whole family. Life is so cruel sometimes Sad

Sad
tadjennyp · 28/03/2012 18:39

Thank you ladies. xxx Blizy you continue to amaze me. I just don't know what to write or say to her. He'd been in hospital before Christmas with pneumonia and she'd said she maybe couldn't afford to have another child (damn the American health care system - no offence expat) and now she's lost him. So sad. Sad Angry

blizy · 28/03/2012 18:58

Tad honestly there is nothing to say, she may not want to talk to anyone right now. Just be there for her, maybe cook up some meals that can be heat up in the oven? Send her a nice card, I found the sympathy cards very old lady like but you can get some really nice thinking of you cards. X

wigglesrock · 28/03/2012 19:35

tad I'm so sorry to hear the very sad news. Will keep Gage and all your family in my thoughts. Sending much love xx

Gosh, tad, such a tragedy. Sad I'll be thinking about Gage and his family - it's every parent's worst nightmare, isn't it? I completely agree about the healthcare system, it's one of my huge fears about moving back.

ILovePonyo · 28/03/2012 20:53

tad just wanted to say how sorry I am, completely heatrbreaking. Will be thinking of your cousin, family and little Gage tonight and being grateful for what I am so lucky to have. No words of advice :(

Emski76 · 28/03/2012 20:53

Tad, so sorry to hear your cousins terrible news. Will light a candle for Gage now. Xxx

debka · 28/03/2012 21:03

Tad that's desperate :( We'll go to the church tomorrow and light a candle for Gage. So many candles :( :( :( I'll be hugging my girls close too.

tadjennyp · 28/03/2012 21:11

Thanks ladies, you are wonderful as ever. xxx Lots of extra hugs for our precious little ones.

ledkr · 28/03/2012 21:15

Tad thats terrible.I only popped in to say hi to everyone,so sorry to find such tragic news. Its so hard to understand these things isnt it?

Will come back tomorrow now, dont like to post anything else tonight.

hubbard86 · 29/03/2012 17:23

Can't say anything other than your family is in my thoughts and prayers tad. sleep well little man

tadjennyp · 29/03/2012 18:15

Thank you once again ladies. His funeral is on Saturday. The doctor said that he had fluid on his lungs and had been fighting an infection. He's with his grandma in heaven now.

Please don't stop posting. I could do with hearing about the Wiggles' talent show and whether MrW brought back the entire list! And other crazy toddler stories to cheer me up. X

debka · 29/03/2012 19:07

tad poor family. Will you be at the funeral?

Crazy toddler story for you. Imy and Daddy are playing hide and seek. Imogen only half gets it and she 'hides' somewhere then shouts at the top of her voice DADDY!! I'M IN THE BATHROOM!! I'M BEHIND THE DOOR DADDY!!

wigglesrock · 29/03/2012 19:38

Well Mr W is back, with most things off the list which was basically just some clothes from Old Navy - very boring but I like them Grin, he got some funky Charlie Brown and Peanuts ones for the girls - he's a tad obsessed with Charlie Brown, must be his age Grin. Oh and we got lots of pencils, notebooks, silly stuff that I like Blush, but enough of Mr W I have bigger news...... drumroll....... I have just got all my hair cut off [gulp], I think I like it [gulp], I can't decide whether to be pleased or offended that about 3 people have told me I look years younger Shock

To be honest I do look like I remember looking like in my early 20s, but older Grin

Debka - Imy is so cute.

wigglesrock · 29/03/2012 20:53

RobinSparkles · 29/03/2012 21:01

:o at Imy hiding! I've got photos of DD1 "hiding" behind the worlds thinnest tree a couple of years ago! She's still rubbish at hiding and either tells me where she is or hides in the same spot that she found me in!
