Funny that wiggs Delilah is very dextrous when it comes to eating crisps too doesnt drop one single crisp.
I do give her cutlery though. She has one of those bent spoons which she shovels food in whilst i also spoonfeed. I would rather feed her myself but she wrestles the spoon out of my hands and is soooo freakishly strong it ends up with the food flying off the spoon onto her head or the wall behind Hmm
Suspiciously she feeds herself far better when she really likes something or is ravenous.

Well ladies my Ella is off on a school trip wednesday till friday. It will be the longest we have been apart without talking on the phone ever. I was helping her pack today and feel so sad,i bought her up alone and we are so close i cant imagine her not being around Sad

Dh is off so we are going to look at some camper vans.Im so exited. If we get it i can bugger off with the girls for some of the easter hols. The pil are visiting so i may put them in it haha.

wigglesrock · 26/03/2012 21:24

Oh ledkr feel for you with Ella, she's still a baby Grin I had A into Tescos cafe last week - living the high life again Grin and I gave her a few of the little milk cartons to distract her while I pinned her down into the highchair and in about 2 secs she had used her teeth to puncture the top of them and was spilling milk gleefully - it was like something out of Twilight!!

Good luck with the camper vans, you could visit all of us in turn - yay

ledkr see you found the thread in AIBU Grin, was looking out for you Grin

ILovePonyo · 26/03/2012 22:06

Hello hello,

A tries to eat with a spoon but isn't very successful, I let her try if she refuses something (like yogurt) and she usually manages a tiny bit of it in her mouth and the rest gets flicked somewhere...

MizK ooh you are brave, my pil have been hinting at a family holiday too (not this year) and I reckon I would do it if I knew we could feck off on our own for a bit each day. Is that v anti social?! Hopefully you can leave them baby sitting in the evening and have some evenings out!

wiggles I spent a while today trying to show A that the pack of 'goodies' biscuits she had scoffed was empty, she just cried more and shoved the empty pack at me, expecting me to magic some up Hmm I want to get my sandals out (they are comfy) but my trotters are pretty rank, am considering my first ever pedicure Shock

reastie how is A's mouth? zombie running app sounds funny!

deb you amazing shrinking woman, bet we won't recognize you when we have another meet up! Happy birthday Imykins :)

Robin hmm might try the 2 baths technique when A is being a whinge bag...

ledkr hows the shoulder? Aww to Ella going away, bless her. It'll be lovely when you get her home again :)

Four4 any drunky stories to share?!

A cried and cried when I dropped her off at nursery today :( Then they rang me to ask if they could give her calpol as they thought her teeth were hurting and I'd forgotten the bonjela, I felt guilty and might have had a little cry at work Blush :( She was v happy when we picked her up though, phew.

She has only had one sleep all day so lets see if that makes a difference tonight - seeing as she had a bottle at 3 am and then was awake at 6 Hmm

hubbard86 · 26/03/2012 23:07

I don't feed Freya any more. I let her get on with it, no matter how messy. She's getting quite good with it but stuff still gets everywhere.

Ledkr very Envy at the campervan, have fun.

reastie · 27/03/2012 08:59

Morning,

ledkr enjoy the campervan hunting

ponyo I didn't take alice to doctor yesterday in the end as she seemed better in the morning, the, as the afternoon progressed she got worse and worse so am missing a couple of hours of work this morning to take her to doctors. Rung MIL as she won't need to do her alice duties and she repeatedly asked me the apt time and was a bit funny despite knowing yesterday I would take her she definitely was trying to suss out whether there would be time for her to come over . I don't like being repeatedly asked something like that - isn't 'late morning' sufficient for her Angry

wiggles love the twilight story Grin

Haven't had to take any time off for Alice from work yet so feeling a bit Confused as to whether they will give me evil glares or not. It's only an hour and a half though Hmm

wigglesrock · 27/03/2012 11:51

reastie good luck with the appt and with work. I knew you would appreciate the Twilight analogy Grin

ledkr Olivia told me this morning she wanted a campervan a la Peppa Pigs Hmm, she then said that she wanted to be a traveller when she grew up Grin, much mirth in the Wiggles car this morning!

ponyo I "did" my feet last night, winter in converse and Boots had made them not very glittery but now they are painted and shiny Grin

I need everyone to send positive vibes here over the next few days. I think we find out over the weekend if Olivia has got a place in Sofias primary school for September. We are really sweating over it, demand is huge and sibling attending isn't a guarantee. Sofia waltzed into a place 3 years ago, I even applied late because we were moving but places are rarer than hens teeth at the minute. Damn free education and very good teachers Grin

I also have Olivias parent/teacher meeting tomorrow morning, I'm afraid very afraid Grin

americanexpat · 27/03/2012 12:37

reastie - good luck with work, hopefully they won't be wankers mean about it.

Ponyo - I've been spending far too much time on S&B and was easily convinced coerced into the Soap & Glory Foot Buffer (tm). It is amazing and my feet look slightly less manky than they did.

ledkr - good luck with the campervan. Excellent idea to put the PILs in it. Grin

Robin - I've been known to sling L in the bath at all hours if he's being a whinger. He always seems to enjoy it for 5 minutes then whinges to get out. Hmm

wiggles - fingers crossed for O to get a place. L managed to get a hold of a tube of toothpaste and bite through it - covered bloody everything in toothpaste. It took me a while to figure out why the house smelled v minty. Grin

wigglesrock · 27/03/2012 12:41

american and ponyo I use Soap and Glory stuff on my trotters, not the special foot stuff but just their normal body butter and beads, mil always buys me it for Christmas/birthdays.

Anna can bite the whole top of a big tube of talc Hmm that child could eat an apple through a letterbox Grin

OP posts:
RobinSparkles · 27/03/2012 13:44

Hi!

I use body shop body butter on my hooves. It makes them feel lovely and soft! They're covered in blisters ATM as I got some new shoes and they've killed my feet

Aw, Ledkr! Sad about Ella going on her trip. Hope you're both ok! You'll miss her but it will do you both good.

L is ok at giving herself finger foods, sometimes she tries to use a spoon but she isn't great tbh! Sometimes I load up the spoon for her and let her feed herself and she's ok for the first three mouthfuls and then she messes with it and waves it about an most of it ends up on the floor. She's very lazy. She won't give herself a drink, she can do it but she can't be bothered! If I make her she screams and throws the cup in a tantrum!

She's a proper little horror! If DD1 gets on her nerves she'll clobber her one Shock, she's got a real temper. I call her ASBO baby! :o

Four4me · 27/03/2012 14:23

Grin at ASBO baby!!!

Hope Ella has a fab trip ledkr hope you are ok about her going? Loved our camper van trip to Scotland wedding.

Fingers crossed for Olivia's school place and hope parents evening goes ok wiggles . My sister is going to text you at some point this week about collecting the travel cot next week. Hope that is ok? So if you get a text from Isabel that is her!

Watch out N Yorks I have my shorts on!!!! Bloody boiling here pushing Im and A all the way to school and back. May blind people with my milk bottle white legs!!!!!!

blizy · 27/03/2012 17:19

hiya Grin

wiggles I use soap and glory foot cream, it is fab. I hope parents evening goes well and that olivia gets the school place. (my fingers are firmly crossed)

ledkr I hope Ella has a fab time adn that you are ok?

robin Grin at asbo baby!

reastie I hope the doctors was ok, what is wrong with Alice?

I had a nice wee day, went off to Loch Lomond with my friend (the one who is pg) and her husband. We had a nice walk and a relaxing day. I had the day off work today becauses of some after school show the kisds were at and it's the baby's week off. Grin I just read that back and it is so boring.Sorry.

RobinSparkles · 27/03/2012 17:50

Blizy, sounds lovely! Glad you had a nice relaxing day off :)

Four4me, I daren't get my legs out! They're white with a hint of blue. Time to get the Dove summer skin out, I think! My friend rocked up to the school run in shorts, a funky vest and a lovely tan. She looked so effortlessly summery and gorgeous and I was so Envy. She has a 6 month old and no signs of baby belly anywhere Envy Envy

reastie · 27/03/2012 18:47

Hello,

blizy am Envy of you living so close to such beautiful scenery as loch lomand

robin and four4 I've seen a fair bit of milky white leg on display today whilst driving home from work Grin - I'm too scared myself and I'll have to get out the industrial leg hedge cutters first anyway Grin

Well, nearly ended out taking alice to A&E earlier Shock - took her to the gp about a rash in her mouth she's had for a few days and she's struggling to eat and seems in discomfort/pain sometimes. GP didn't really know what it was so went home feeling it was a waste of time and when we got back Alice just went mad in pain - she was just rolling over the floor screaming in pain and inconsolable tears Sad - went on for nearly an hour, she wouldn't even let me hold her as it seemed to hurt her too much. She only stopped crying when she had a bf which she only took some of the time, the rest she was screaming. Anyway, DH came home to take over so I could go to work, and I was already thinking I wouldn't be able to go to work as I'd have to be at home to bf and if she carried on much longer would have to take her to hospital but when she saw dh and got to play with his mobile she stopped crying - she's been fine since. No idea what was wrong maybe it's me Confused

My feet are truly awful, not sure I can face wearing sandals, maybe I should get this foot cream you speak of

wiggles hope O gets the school place

wigglesrock · 27/03/2012 20:36

blizy that sounds lovely Envy

Four4Me no probs at all, are you sure that's all you need? I can't think of anything else but just give me a buzz if anything pops into your head. There was me thinking I was brave flaunting my bare arms Grin

reastie hope A is on the mend, is it worth popping into your local chemist? Sometimes I find them lots more helpful than the Dr.

ledkr hope Ella has a brilliant time, it'll fly past xx

Sofia has just informed me that her and her friend are performing a dance routine at a school talent show on Friday Grin They are dancing to yes you've guessed it - Bruno Mars. She was showing me their routine, God bless them the best I can say is that they are putting their heart into it Grin

OP posts:
Four4me · 27/03/2012 20:52

wiggles just been talking to dsis about you. I'm going to pm you. X

tadjennyp · 27/03/2012 22:08

Hope A is ok reastie. They can go from ok to really sick to ok again so quickly at that age.

blizy you are such a good friend. We spent part of our honeymoon by Loch Lomond. Gorgeous part of the world.

Hope Ella has a fab time and you don't miss her too much ledkr. Enjoy the campervan shopping too! I felt the same when Anna had her camp-in the other week. The photos of them all in their pyjamas are really cool though!

I am sure you will have a lovely time in NI four4 and you will have got over your hangover by then! Grin

Love the sound of Sofia's dance wiggles! At least it is done on Friday so you don't get too sick of Bruno Mars!

Not getting my feet out till all the snow is definitely gone, though I did buy a new pair of flipflops the other day!

Well done Debka on all that weightloss!

blizy · 27/03/2012 22:33

Tad it is so beautiful, my favourite place in the world. I am very lucky in that Loch Lomond is only 40 mins away from me. We hd our "mini moon" there at Cameron house it was amazing.

Wiggles- I hope you get through the dance and talent show. I bet Mr W is dead upset at missing it.

I am Envy of your and 44me meet up.

Ledkr- happy shoppingGrin.

wigglesrock · 27/03/2012 22:41

blizy Oh we don't get to go, its solely for other pupils and teachers I would be dying at the back, Mr W would probably love it! He's back on Thu morning, the week has just flown in. He was on the phone earlier, he's a bit homesick Shock [sweet] He loves his younger brother and his wife but they take everything very seriously, they are lovely but very earnest in a way that only people who have never had any real problems can be Grin

Ps Am I very immature for having a giggle at your "mini moon"? I fear I am, not enough time spent in adult company lately Grin

OP posts:
debka · 28/03/2012 07:45

Hey everyone,

Easy on the congratulations, I gained an impressive 3lb this week!

reastie hope Alice is better, how scary not knowing what's wrong :( Next week we're off to Tatton again on Thursday, won't get back till early hours Tuesday, so the only day I could do is 2 weeks today (if that makes sense). What d'ya reckon?

wiggles I can't wait till my two are old enough to do dance routines and the like, S and O just sound hilarious Grin. S dances along to Happy And You Know It though which is super cute, lots of hand clapping, foot stamping and wild head nodding Grin

I think they might be coming down with something again I hate wiping up fecking snot Angry They were both really tired and whingey yesterday despite having good naps in the day. Ah well, we'll see what today brings.

americanexpat · 28/03/2012 09:31

deb - big losses, big gains. Grin Don't worry, it'll come off quickly.

reastie - I hope Alice is feeling better. So sad when they're obviously upset/in pain and we don't know how to stop it.

Robin - Envy at your friend. I have photos of myself in a swimming costume at 6 months PN - Shock [horror] [vomit]

L was an absolute nightmare this morning, whinging and throwing himself on the floor crying. It took me ages to get out of the house this morning, meant to walk but I was already late. Suddenly the extortionate nursery fees are worth every penny. Grin SEP, like Delia said.

I've been feeling a bit rubbish and exhausted the last month, think I might be anaemic again as it really started with my last period. I have a GP appt Monday and have ordered some Spatone. The house is a tip but I can't seem to drag myself off the sofa in the evenings.

blizy · 28/03/2012 10:37

debka don't sweat the 3lb's you will shift them soon. I hope the girls are ok.

american L will be fine in nursery. Ime, children tend to "play up" a bit with their parents and are totally fine with me. Hope you feel better soon.

wiggles Grin at MR W being homesick. Can't believe thats been a week already! I don't get it, what's funny about mini moon? Blush

wigglesrock · 28/03/2012 11:37

blizy mini-moon - just showing half your bum? No just me with a very juvenile sense of humour Grin xxx

american Anna is at my Mums this morning - I too am relishing in her being SEP. Glad you are getting to a Dr - take care x

debka Anna is into a headbager phase at the moment, its really funny, she too is showing an appreciation for Bruno Mars Blush Mr W will be getting his boring and slightly self indulgent "cool" music out soon, he blames me for their pop love!

Olivias parent teacher meeting went well, teachers love her, pupils love her, me I quite like her Grin I was really surprised at how detailed the report was, there was a binder on each child with photos, examples of work, notes about what they had dpone that day, how far they had progressed in the curriculum etc. It was waaay more indepth than Sofias Shock

OP posts:
americanexpat · 28/03/2012 12:13

wiggles with a juvenile sense of humour? Shocking it is. Grin

reastie - do you have a granary bread recipe? I thought you mentioned making granary bread a while ago.

wigglesrock · 28/03/2012 12:20

american I'm one step away from poo and fart jokes me Grin

Right I may go do something productive - I've a house to clean Grin
