Four4me have a fantastic time, enjoy the quiet Grin

ledkr We had the loveliest day here too, we all sat out my Mums back all day, Olivia is looking a bit pinkish Blush Sofia was at a party for most of the afternoon/evening, only just wrestled her and O to bed, its vvv late for them, the mood is overtired to put it mildly!

Anna has been very unsettled over the past few nights since she had her injections really, but she is also getting some teeth I think.

Mr W is having a fab time, I'm sure you're all glad to hear Grin, he keeps texting me "just seen .....", "you'd love here" Hmm etc, not sure why he thought these comments would be helpful while I'm trying to drag reluctant children to the hairdressers, inside from playing etc!!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and the weather is as good for everyone!

My exciting Saturday night has just kicked off with some Oven Pride. Hmm

44me - enjoy your weekend!

tad - $2300! Shock

Envy at the gorgeous weather. Cloudy and cold here, now it's really foggy. I had L in the front garden for a while so I could tidy it, he managed to scatter the contents of the recycling bin around the garden. Hmm

ledkr · 24/03/2012 21:27

haha wiggs im afraid my little ginge is a tad pink Blush too.
Grin at mr w showing off the git. I remember ed dh suggesting i take a trip to the dominican republic like him as it was nice there Hmm I iceily reminded him that i couldnt afford it as i was bringing up our 4 children Angry He chose to ignore me.

It was 23 degrees at one point.I had to dig out the old summer trousers which still dont fit like last year grrrrrr.

wigglesrock · 24/03/2012 22:17

I just got a message from Mr W saying it is pissing down so they are off to the pub Shock Remind me what a pub in the afternoon is like again Grin such a hazy memory! My seething jealousy has only been tempered slightly by him mentioning that he has already bought loads from my list Grin

ledkr I too may be slightly pinik around the cheekbone area Shock

Hello all, have started writing a few posts but they seem so boring I have given up on them Blush

Just checking in to remind everyone the clocks change today Grin

ILovePonyo · 25/03/2012 07:33

Hi all, well clocks changing has been good for me, means A was awake at 6.30 rather than 5.30 Hmm she asleep by 9am though because of these early wakings Confused

I've not got much interesting to say either tbh, have slept funny and pulled something in my shoulder which bloody huuuuurts! It's been a week now and not getting better Angry

Oh and A has her top teeth coming through Grin only little tiny tips but quite exciting. Am hoping it explains some of the grumpiness Hmm

Wiggles I am extremely jealous of mr w's trip, although it sounds like you'll have some goodies when he gets back, what is on this list?

Happy Sunday everyone

Deliaskis · 25/03/2012 16:22

Dramatic......I'm Baaaaaaaack!

Well...just a a bit anyway, it's Sunday afternoon, DH is snoring on the sofa, C is snoring in her cot, and I will shortly be snoring I think on my bed, but thought I'd just check in and say hi.

This week went well at work, all fine on that score.

I can't believe how hot it is today tho, we just had a pub lunch with a load of friends and were all getting burnt to frazzles in the beer garden.

C has a bit of a cold/cough and also I think teeth coming through, so she's been a bit hard work this weekend, but otherwise all is fine.

wiggs is MrW in Washington DC or Washington state? If DC I am uber jealous, I am vvvvv keen to go there ([whispers] mainly cos of the West Wing) but it's not the sort of place we'd take C for a few years yet.

Ponyo yes I don't mind clocks going forward either. We've kept C on 'old' time today so she'll just be sleepier in the morning and we'll go and wake her at 'new' 7am. Then she will be tired at nursery but it will become an S.E.P. (Someone Else's Problem).....snigger. Yes, a week away from mn and nothing has changed, I'm still a slightly terrible parent!

Ledkr pink ginge sounds like something one would drink....? Giggling at D in the shoe shop though....'dropped to her knees and sobbed' she does like to bring the drama then? C is a becoming a bit of a madam when she doesn't get her own way.

Anyway, off for a quick snooze before they all wake up.

Dx

blizy · 25/03/2012 18:01

Sorry I haven't read any posts this weekend, I will catch up with you all when I have a chance.

My beat friend told me on thurs that she is pg, I am soo happy and excited for her! I have spent yesterday in hospital with her as they thought she was having an ectopic, I sat with her through a scan. Thankfully everything is well and ok. It was do hard trying to put on a brave face for her, but I did it and i am so bloody proud on myself for that! Righto, I'm off to sort out dinner.

ledkr · 25/03/2012 18:16

ponyo we are one i believe. I too have an early waker and inexplicably painsfull shoulders Shock And it was still fecking 5.30 in my opinion grrrrr. I feel like a sodding lark.
D is a right old moaner after she has been up a while too,i have to go power walking with the pram to get her off.
She is doing my head in too with the throwing food and drinks, ive never had it before and dont know what to do,it seems every mealtime involves a massive clean up operation afterwards, she just threw her drink and the lid came off and water everywhere, she also keeps choking herself too Hmm Im just going to put her to bed i think she wakes at the crack of dawn anyhow.

blizy very brave well done,i bet you feel better for doing that than if you,d been all bitter at home. Damn all these people geting pregnant before you the bastards Grin any um dates we should mark on the calendar this month hmm??

blizy · 25/03/2012 19:21

Ledkr- my kitchen walls have some banana stains where baby mindee chucked it at the wall.Confused

I really am not upset that my friend is pg, she has pcos and has been ttc for a few years so I am ecstatic for her.

af is due next sat and I think it will defo come. I will know by weds though as I usually start spotting 3 days before af.

hubbard86 · 25/03/2012 20:19

Hiya all.
Have been absent for a while I hope all is well with everyone. No news on our front as we're a boring bunch.

Does anyone else have selective eaters? Freya is a right funny bugger. She won't eat meat or potatoes, rice etc. Really stress out that she's not eating properly.

Also the sibling rivalry has started. Freya and Tom really bicker, I wasn't expecting it so soon.

ledkr · 25/03/2012 20:35

I had years of bloody bickering with my 3 ds,im loving the big age gap now Grin

blizy Thats lovely of you.Your turn will come my friend,i know what a bugger it is waiting,i couldnt believe it then when i finally concieved fter two years i was worried sick. Have you spoken to your gp just to check all is well. In our case ex dh had slow swimmers but he seems to have had no trouble getting random girls up the duff sice Grin

Four4me · 25/03/2012 20:48

I'm still alive (but only just)! Feel so ill as always, think I'm allergic to alcohol Grin

blizy you are a wonderful friend..... Crossing all fingers and toes. X

ILovePonyo · 25/03/2012 20:50

Evening,

Ah ledkr my twin, I knew Dilly had been waking early too, I do sometimes think of you when A is awake at stupid o clock ad wonder if you're up aswell! Our friends said today that when they drop naps in the day it can lead to more sleep at night. I think they were lying trying to make us feel better. A throws her food too, its when she is finished eating it just all gets chucked on the floor Hmm I am fed up up of picking it all up and cleaning the bloody floor Grin

hubbard A can shake her head 'no' now, so when we are giving her food she often just shakes her head no without even trying it the bugger. Sometimes we erm, 'force' her to taste it and she'll eat it Shock Yesterday she refused sausage but dp got her to taste it and she pigged them down. I try not to worry but its hard isn't it, hope F snaps out of it soon Grin

delia yay you're back! Wink Ha at S.E.P, that is A tomo too! Glad work all went ok for you, first week over, relief!

blizy wow and congrats to your friend, you sound like such a lovely friend to have too btw. We have a stain in the kitchen from where A chucked some food, I have no idea what it is its been there so long Blush

A has been a pain in the bum to get to sleep the last 2 nights, hope this doesn't last long. We have had a lovely day at the park then at friends today, we let A crawl around the park and get v muddy, funny :)

reastie · 25/03/2012 21:16

Hi all,

four4 hope your brood sre being gentle with you in your tender state Grin

blizy ponyo is right, you do sound like a wonderful friend. Hope everything goes well for your pg friend, must've bought back alot of emotions at the scan

Well, I think Alice has mouth thrush. I'm not sure if it's that or a reaction to mmr, as I googled that sometimes they can get a mouth rash related to that. She's dribbling like no bodies business too and is crying when eating solid foods like her mouth hurts Sad

Btw Alice throws food too. I wish we had wooden floors in our dining room as I've carpet cleaned that floor so many times and yet still the stains will not go, and we use a mammoth oil cloth on the floor too - she just has a huge long throw [sigh]

deb and ledkr I saw on tv there is a podcast for a zombie run which is providing really popular - you stick it on the ipod and then a voice shouts at you 'the zombies are coming, run quicker, QUICKER, they'll catch you' etc for the duration of the run Grin

debka · 25/03/2012 22:27

Hey everyone, been awol for a while, now the sun's out I'm outside a lot more I think.

All as normal here, Imy had a birthday which was lovely, we went to the zoo and S spent two hours chasing peacocks Grin

I am 3lbs off 5 stone now but have totally sabotaged my week, been eating Crapola. Daft cow. Ah well, went for a run tonight, think I need reastie's zombie app to speed me up though!! BTW reastie do you fancy a meet up in April? We could go to Leeds Castle, maybe see the tulips?

Will try and keep up a bit better from now on...

RobinSparkles · 25/03/2012 22:40

Hi everyone!

Been a lovely weekend weatherwise! DDs have been out in the garden. L had to have two baths today. I bathed her before I got her dressed - I don't usually but she was being a whinge bag so I took her in with me to shut her up! Then she got so muddy and dirty on the garden I had to give her another tonight!

L doesn't throw food but if she doesn't like it she tries to drop it discretely, hoping that I won't notice! DD1 used to throw it. Every meal time was like that scene in Baby Boom Angry.

Blizy, you're a great friend being there for your BF :) .

MizK · 26/03/2012 14:09

Happy Monday ladies :) just having a little break after cleaning downstairs windows, the sun was revealing their true grime too much!
blizy aww pleased for your friend too, you will be next!
deb you are so kicking arse at this weight loss thing. Please share some tips (that don't involve running!)
four4 glad you made the most of your night out!
ponyo its good for babies to get muddy, sign of a good day is being grubby and tired IME!
ledkr and wiggs its v hard to stop babies catching the sun isnt it? Esp if theyre uber fair.
hubbard DD1 and DS spend their life squabbling, its completely unbearable. They are both nice to C but vile to one another, its such a bore hearing them bickering all the time!
Ladies I have to make a confession. I have agreed to go on holiday to Cyprus with PIL and SIL plus her husband and two little ones. ONLY because PIL are paying... I know that sounds grasping but its prob the only way we can justify a hol in our precarious financial state...
How the eff am I going to cope sharing a villa with my FIL? I'm just dreading how many times he will mention how much it has cost to take us all. Its so generous of them but I'm scared its going to be a nightmare holiday. Anyone done this and have any consoling advice for me?

americanexpat · 26/03/2012 14:12

L is a horrible food thrower. I've got to yank the tray off as soon as he's finished or it all goes on the floor. He sent a full bowl of daal flying and it left a yellow trail across the kitchen floor. Hmm

blizy - you continue to amaze me, your friend is so lucky to have you. Fingers crossed this is your month.

Delia - SEP, ha!

Do any of the babies eat with cutlery? I've been trying to get L to use a spoon but he doesn't seem to get it. A friend keeps posting photos on FB of her 10 month old eating a pot of yoghurt with a spoon. Is that typical?

reastie · 26/03/2012 14:14

mizk when is the holiday? BIL is Dhs neices are going on holiday with PIL next week for the same reasoning you are. Funnily enough sil is too clever to fall for that isn't going Grin . I can let you know how it all kicks off goes and offer you some advice afterwards Grin .

deb yes yes yes Grin . I'm on school holiday next week and the week after but am getting quite booked up - I'm free next Thurs and Friday or else the following Monday or Wednesday, but am awaiting to hear from a friend for one of those dates. Do any of them work for you?

I'm thinking of sewing a bean bag chair for Alice but I'm not sure if it's beyond me. Have the likes of knitta and american et al got any tips for me or would I be best off just to buy one?

reastie · 26/03/2012 14:16

xposted american I have a fb friend like that - pictured supposidly using a knife and fork at less than a year Shock . FWIW Alice usually either has finger food or we spoon food in her mouth. In the last week she's suddenly started to get how to feed herself and will sort of try to fill her spoon up from her bowl and feed herself, but she doesn't really manage it very well.

americanexpat · 26/03/2012 14:43

reastie - oh good, we do the same with L. He's ace at shoving a sandwich/toast/oatcake/raisins in his mouth but the spoon eludes him. Maybe I'll try it with some yoghurt as he loves it. No advice on the bean bag but I did a quick google for "bean bag chair sewing pattern" and got a few results. I've also seen the little styrofoam (is that what you call it here?) "beans" at Dunelm Mill.

MizK - Shock Best of luck. No practical advice, I'm afraid.

ledkr · 26/03/2012 19:12

at going on hols with pil.Id rather not have a fecking holiday. They have hinted and i just ignore them. Cant imagine all that drinking sensibly and going for "nice walks" Im usually drunk, burnt and flirting with waiters Grin

We saw the funniest thing in toys r us. A suction bowl with matchig suction cutlery, If it wasnt a tenner id have bought it just to see the look on dills face.

wigglesrock · 26/03/2012 19:52

american Sofia and Olivia only started to eat with cutlery last year Grin, if you give Anna a spoon she knows what its for but couldn't feed herself. She has however mastered the art of eating crisps out of the packet Blush

deliaskis howdy Grin, Mr W is indeed in the world of West Wing Envy

MizK I did the same when Sofia was 1 - we went away with my parents and sister to Portugal for a week, it was fine, easier than I thought and not as stressful as I imagined. I'd probably prefer to go away with my pils. I love my parents but a week away with them [shudder], I am too old to keep up with the wine consumption which would probably result in an alcohol shortage in wherever we stayed. Apparently wine is not actually an alcohol drink Grin

blizy xxxxxxx, lovely news about your friend.

Another gorgeous day, am breaking out the sandals tomorrow Shock

OP posts:
Four4me · 26/03/2012 20:29

American & reastie Archie is spoon feed by his Mama and will be till he is about 30!! He is very lazy laid back and has shown no interest in the spoon. Don't feel pressurised by other people they are probably lying .

mizk no holiday with anyone for us. Noone wants to go with us!!!! Can you not keep taking yourself out for days out on your own, to the beach etc. You never know you might have a whale of a time.

deb well done you. Hope Imogen had a lovely birthday? Did you see the thread about the woman who has gone from size 22 to getting into size 10 jeans today? Wow.

Well I am still slightly hungover and slowly remembering bits of the evening!!
