welcome back Reastie and Chocoroo, we missed you both! Wiggles!!! We need an update for our ladies!!

Ledkr, am soooooo jealous of your fantastic week off work. Sounds like your going to have a blast!!
I am so glad I;m not abnormal in feeling upset at other women being pregnant. i've been thinking its just me, and wondering if maybe we should have another baby when I know deep down I could never go through it all again. Maybe we'll let Ben have the cat he's so keen to have, it can be my new baby!

I have quite a few mum friends that I dh and I met through NCT, we don;t see each other as much now as all working and on 2nd and 3rd babies. I don't really have many other friends, (sad), but do have my bff who I've known since school. Dh and I met through him and I love him to bits. Not the same as having a girlie to chat to though. My friend/neighbour has a little boy the same age as Ben so we researched school choices together. She had her little boy through IVF on her third try, and is just about to have another go. Am really hoping she gets pregnant! My sis and I get on really well now and had lunch out together last Sunday, and had a lovely catch up.

Miz K, Yes I do get excited if I make a new friend, I;ve started chatting to a mum at Ben's swimming class and we all met up a few weeks ago at a soft play place and I was so pleased with myself!

Choc, what can Romilly's nursery mean by her numeracy skills not being up to scratch??? What do they expect from a one year old?

Oh, someone asked about pricing stuff to sell at baby sells?? I sold coats for £2, trousers for £1 and tops for £1. If it was a brand item I sold it on ebay instead. I have a loft full of black bags of baby stuff to sell this year when I get round to it!

Wow, I have rambled on. Dh has gone to get us a Subway for tea, yum. Am going to have a glass of wine too as it is my Friday night!

Love to all

wigglesrock · 07/03/2012 20:09

MizK thank God its not just me Grin I have a few friends I've had for ages, not loads but when Sofia started primary school a few years ago, it felt like everyone knew each other, we had moved just before she started so she went to a completely different nursery etc and I felt really out of the loop but when she went into her second year I started to "see" a lot more of a few Mums and now am very friendly with one, we even text each other and not only to try and sort out our daughters social lives Shock.

Welcome back chocoroo and reastie Trying to think of any news: so far we've discussed babies teeth, sicky babies, new jobs, lazy slightly unthoughtful partners, oh and something to do with cleaning your oven Grin

ponyo I'd have sent her as well, the nursery would let you know if she wasn't happy.

blizy no apologies need sweetheart you know that, besides I thought you were very fucking restrained in your comments Grin

tarlia meant to say fab photos - Z is absolutely yummy.

ILovePonyo · 07/03/2012 20:16

Ahh choco I saw some Cadburys Philly in Asda the other day and thought of you straight away Grin Glad you and R are ok and work is going well.

emksi I am jel of your Subway for tea! Good choice! It was me that asked about pricing for clothes, thanks for that, might have to look into it.

ledkr ooh your racing week sounds fabbo, Grin at you meeting dh and being drunk for the whole week, that made me laugh. I have a pamper day booked for april which I am already looking forward to - got a fancy body exfoliation thing and access to spa for a tenner Shock

Yay to mumfriend MizK :) It doesn't make you a loser!
I'm another who only has a couple of 'parent' friends, I'm not super confident and also crap at staying in touch with people so thats not a good combo!

reastie glad you're back online erm, won't attempt a news round up as my brain is not working, its taken me about half an hour to type this, I keep getting distracted by come dine with me.

Did I say that A has her 1 year jabs tomo?! Poor thing after being ill, I'm dreading it and already planning on getting her some chocolate fingers for after. She was fine at nursery btw, thanks for reassurance. She also ate more than she has done recently, am hoping that doesn't meana 2am bottle like shes had the past few night Hmm

RobinSparkles · 07/03/2012 20:45

Hope Anya is OK with her jabs Ponyo! C wAs fine if that's any reassurance screamed the surgery down but there were no problems afterwards.

Ledkr yup, you're barred coz you smell! No just kidding, I haven't got one. Well, I have but it's with my Wandering name and I don't know how to swap it. I'll sort it when I'm able to get on the computer. There are no up to date pics on there so I'll have to put some up! Grin

Hellooo Reastie and Chocoroo!

That Cadburys Philly is bloody lovely! I bought it in Tesco and it was BOGOF!

RobinSparkles · 07/03/2012 20:48

I was asking about selling clothes too. I'm thinking of sticking mine on Gumtree 'cause it's free and local and you don't have to bother posting stuff if they come and collect.

RobinSparkles · 07/03/2012 20:51

I'd really like to do a Car boot or baby sale though because I have loads of toys that C has outgrown eg. jumperoo, baby walker, door bouncer and we have a baby carrier that we could sell.

ILovePonyo · 07/03/2012 21:02

Robin I think A will scream the place down then be ok after

I want rid of the baby clothes too but would love to make some cash Grin anything left I'll give away. It's just an [effort] isn't it

wigglesrock · 07/03/2012 21:04

I sold some bits and pieces S&O had outgrown, mainly toys on NetMums local boards - it was really easy and I got about £30.

reastie · 07/03/2012 21:23

Hello ladies, thanks for the catch up wiggles

Re: selling old baby clothes - yes, I have a number of bin bags full in the loft to sell, I just can't be bothered don't know where to start. I really can't be doing with ebay and all that photo taking and postage so was wondering whether to just put each size in a massive bag and ask for £10 per bag (which would include stuff like snow suits/outfits/shoes/gros etc) on netmums in the hope someone would want them - have no idea if my pricing is wrongly pitched though Hmm

Oh, wiggles we've started alias. I have to say not as good as I had hoped. I think probably because it looks a bit dated now and a bit buffyish with all the martial art style kicks.

Alice has her jabs next mon. They were booked for this mon but I put them back a week as I didn't want her up in the night during inspection at work Blush , but, this hasn't made any difference anyway as she's been up for ages for the past few nights, DH and I are shattered. Oh, and I also had to miss my first trip to the bake club due to stupid inspection work Sad

Are we discussing mummy friends? I don't have that many, but one of my bffs has a dd 6 months older than alice, so we meet up alot when I'm not working which feels like never , although I always feel a tad sad as I was pg with my mc at the same time as her and we would have had babies born only a couple of weeks apart... I am meeting up with a 'new' friend in a couple of weeks I met at a baby class [utter saddo]

Is everyone giving evil glares to pg ladies or have I got the wrong end of the stick? I look at pg women and get super Envy , not only as they get a lovely new baby but also the fact they are pg and well enough to, you know, go out in public and do normal things, which I couldn't manage. If I had had an easy pg I would have another tomorrow Shock

Oh, choc I've put that cadbury philidelphia thingy in my internet shopping order, mmmmmmm

RobinSparkles · 07/03/2012 21:34

Bbbut you can't go to Netmums, not even to sell stuff! It's treason against MN Shock.

wigglesrock · 07/03/2012 21:41

RobinSparkles sometimes MN is a bit, how can I say it politely? up its own hole for me Grin

OP posts:
Emski76 · 07/03/2012 21:41

Good luck for Anya's jabs tomorrow Ponyo. Noah has his on Friday. Not looking forward to it at all especially I have to take Ben along too!

Wiggles, my sister has bought and sold heaps of stuff on Netmums, she's such a good bargain hunter!

I too think of Choc when I see any Cadbury stuff!

Off to bed soon. Ponyo, my Subway was scrummy!

blizy · 08/03/2012 07:25

"ponyo" I hope Anya's is ok with her injections.

Most of my friends have babies, we ended up pregnant at the same time. There were babies born every 8 weeks from Aug 2010 to May 2011!

I am feeling a lot better today, a good old sob on dh and early night has helped. Thank you all for being so honest about your feelings. I really hope this is the month for us, I just know if i t's not I will be devastated.

I think chocco should be the face of Cadbury. Grin

Grannyapple · 08/03/2012 09:07

Hi ladies...been lurking as we've all been shattered from our trip up the road.

blizy completely understand how you must be feeling....& so should your family to be honest. Tis a bit off that you're sis texted you with the news tho...tho I texted my sis a pic of my pregnancy test & she called straight away & we were both in tears at the time Smile. Have you both been away in your honeymoon yet? A good holiday is what both you & dh need...total relaxation & I'm sure it will happen for you both...did for dh & I & plenty of our friends Grin

I too will admit to a wee bit of jealousy at other pg ladies...have to admit I'm getting really broody too as us dh...we're talking about trying for the next one in the summer Shock.

N has his mmr on fri too...hope he's ok with it. We're off into London on Saturday night for a surprise b'day party for my uncle...but as its my b'day on Sunday too, dh & I decided to make a night of it. So one of my nct mum friends has kindly agreed to take N overnight for us...what's the betting I'll be up at 6.30 as normal?!
mizk I too have made a few mum friends...I speak or text to one of them everyday & we arrange a night out every few months for a good old gossip with one of the other mums over a few bottles of wine Grin. Has been a lifesaver for me I have to say, being so far from home. Is just nice to have a friend who gets it all...& that we're not all about the babies.

Off to do some work...so glad it's Thursday, I've been at work since last Wednesday & feel like I need a day off...don't know how those back full time do it...hats off to you ladies (& I never thought I would be glad to go part time either)!

Grannyapple · 08/03/2012 09:39

Oh & meant to say, we had a clear out of N's clothes on Sunday....I vacuum packed some of it & decided to bin some of the really stained stuff...but dh was all sad & mentioned how it was sad packing away his wee outfits from that stage of his life Hmm...he's getting more soppy as he gets older I think Smile.

ledkr · 08/03/2012 09:39

blizy I think it should be a national holiday when you have a bfp Grin
Im secretly pleased that not too many of us are having anymore on here or id be well jel Grin Tis strange cos i only like newborns for about 10 seconds then they annoy me.

Im sure A will be fine with her injections ponyo Dilly was devastated but then no further probs apart from a slight rash.

Im going to defect to nethuns and sell some stuff. I have the standing activity centre that was 45 squid.I offered it to my neighbour for 20 and she said she prefer to borrow it Hmm yeah right. I had "mug" tatooed on my head at the time.

I gave most of my stuff to sis but Dills has some nice clothes i may have a car boot but they annoy me too, bastard tight arses.

Dh is in bed on a study day today.Im going to wake him in a bit.

Dills slept 6.30-7am i couldnt believe it.Ive taken the high chair apart to clean it (wishes id listened to wiggs re highchairs.)

americanexpat · 08/03/2012 11:10

Good luck to all the babies having injections. L was grumpy after his, went to bed early then was fine the next day. He had a bit of a rash last weekend which was about 10 days after the MMR.

Granny - Envy about trying for another one soon. We've decided to wait until after we move and see how we are financially.

choco - Grin at Put Boots on the Gruffalo. L loves the hairdressing set, carries around the brushes. Good thing I'm not too hung up on gender roles. Grin

Not only have I been to Netmums but I have actually [gasp] gone to some meets! I find the anti-NM atmosphere on MN a bit Hmm.

wigglesrock · 08/03/2012 11:44

ponyo Hope A gets on ok with her vacs. Ana gets hers done a few days before Mr W heads off to US, methinks he has timed that quite well Grin, although I have taken a few days off when he is away to ease the school run panic etc.

I have to say I am much less broody than I thought I'd be, I spent yesterday with my sister and Emma (my sister took her into her work and we went for a lovely lunch) and I love having Emma but I am very glad to hand her back at the end of the day! But my sister is at the minute chomping to get back to work. There are a lot of "big" things her bar has landed for the next few years and I could see her brain ticking over when we were in yesterday.

blizy I agree with grannyapple about the honeymoon/holiday. Any word on it?

americanexpat Don't get me started on the anti NM stuff on here, it was funny for about 10 mins then it got really horrible, condescending and tbh snobby. Its my bugbear with MN Grin

I kept meaning to ask A gets very red cheeks and jowls, jawbone and the skin gets very rough. It doesn't seem to bother her and I don't want to put anything on her face just for the sake of it but was wondering if it was just teething (which she is) or if I should take it slightly more seriously Blush

blizy · 08/03/2012 12:55

Still not booked up honeymoon, I have to get my ass in gear. I need to renew my passport first, we are hoping to get away may/June.

Wiggles- when is mr w going to Washington? I hope he brings you a fab pressie back!

Granny- how exciting about the impending ttc.Grin

Ledkr- you race week sound awesome, I'm well Envy.

Hope y'all are having a good day.

wigglesrock · 08/03/2012 13:03

blizy he goes in 2 weeks, getting pressie lists ready, the girls want a Muppet - a real one Grin. I've just realised I spelt Annas name wrong in my last post Blush Another Mum of the week win for me then Grin

OP posts:
RobinSparkles · 08/03/2012 13:10

Hello!

Granny that will be exciting re: TTC. I will not be Envy, oh no not me... Convinced? Grin

In fact, I'm surprised there aren't more of this group deciding to TTC soon [disappointed emoticon] Wink

Wiggles I do agree re MNs up own hole ness! I do get annoyed with the amount of "rules" that there are on here and I find it funny that people get insulted at being called MN "royalty" when we all know that secretly they love it! Grin

I don't want to go on NMs though... Christ, if I got addicted to another site I'd never get anything done!!!!

Hope everyone is well...

I can't remember anything else!

RobinSparkles · 08/03/2012 13:12

Ooh, we are going on Hols in August! First one in seven years and I can't bloody wait. It'll be the first holiday for the girls.

wigglesrock · 08/03/2012 13:14

RobinSparkles where are you off to? I love going away with the girls- they get so excited, its very cute.

OP posts:
RobinSparkles · 08/03/2012 13:16

Wiggles, is it dry skin from dribbling? I would be tempted to put a bit of sudacrem on to see if it clears it.

RobinSparkles · 08/03/2012 13:19

We are off to Majorca. I've never been to Majorca but have heard that it is nice. We need to get passports sorted though.

DD1 is excited. We could be going to Blackpool for all DD2 cared!
