ILovePonyo · 05/03/2012 21:01

Thanks for reassurance about teeth lasting longer there ledkr! Makes sense to me :)

debka · 05/03/2012 21:04

Evening all,

ponyo poor A, hope she's herself again tomorrow. Sorry work is not much fun at the moment, that's always grim. S has 2 at the bottom, 4 at the top, has done for about 5 months Hmm

wiggles we had lasagne for tea, S hoovered it up in seconds.

ledkr asking for dinner Hmm that's weird, and rude.

mizk S was grumpy as sin on the day of the jabs but she wasn't actually poorly, and then fine the next day. My 2 have always dealt with imms well though.

I've never worked behind a bar but I enjoyed waiting on, have yet to actually enter a premises to ask if they have any jobs Blush

I accidentally ate 200g chocolate this afternoon, I still feel sick, missed my tea and went for a run to try and make up for it. Weigh day tomorrow....

debka · 05/03/2012 21:08

ponyo was it you who found my oven pride thread? I rinsed this morning and the racks look AMAZING, oven could do with another dose though Blush

RobinSparkles · 05/03/2012 21:12

T'was me Debka! Was it good?

mine would probably need about 5 goes

I shall have to get some.

ILovePonyo · 05/03/2012 21:14

Noooo deb what oven pride thread?! Actually don't tell me, you've just reminded me that my oven is a disgrace and needs a massive clean Hmm

Get into some pubs and ask for work! I'm with ledkr, I love bar work, if it's quiet you can chat and if it's busy the time goes quickly! X x

ledkr · 05/03/2012 21:19

Um deb An oven pride thread??? Come on,where is our Deb gone she seems to have been replaced by a stepford wife Confused
Did you try it out on dh?Did he fit in the bag hawdy haw.

blizy · 05/03/2012 21:25

deb ovenpride is amazing I love it - although it is dh job! Grin

debka · 05/03/2012 21:33

ledkr HA that's funny! No he's Mr Clean now, 3 showers a week Shock

ILovePonyo · 06/03/2012 13:08

Hi all, well I'm off work again with a poorly baby Sad Sent her in this morning but they rang saying she wasn't well so I collected her, she is asleep on me at the moment. Got a docs appt tomo morning. I stayed at nursery as when I got there it was lunch time, thought I may as well try her on food there rather than at home! She didn't eat much, not even chocolate pudding so I know she's not well Grin

Am posting from my phone so am off to read the end of the thread...

debka · 06/03/2012 14:02

Poor little Anya, I always know mine aren't well when they can't even face pudding! Hope she perks up soon.

I just put Sabine down for a sleep in our rather chilly draught lobby (had to google whether I actually meant draught or draft!!), because Imy's asleep in their room, and DH is working in the office. It was there or the boot of the car Grin

Right well you know how everyone is avidly avoiding getting knocked up again? My friend who had her son 4 days after Sabine was born (she was briefly on this thread too) is PREGNANT!! Only 5 weeks, but I thought you all ought to know Grin

Hope everyone's having a good Tuesday. xxx

Four4me · 06/03/2012 14:47

Poor Anya, hope she is ok.

Yeah for your friend deb The boys are only 14 months apart and Imogen and Archie are just under 16 months apart, I like them being close in age!!!!

Just having a quiet sit down while the two babies have a nap, having a bit of a bulb watching This Morning (that I recorded) the actress that is in Upstairs Downstairs who has Downs Sydrome has been interviewed, she is amazing. So sad how negatively Downs is portrayed in many walks of life including medical ones Sad

RobinSparkles · 06/03/2012 18:08

I watched that 4forme, she was lovely. It is sad how negatively Downs is portrayed Sad because it means that people quite often don't understand it and view it as a negative thing, which isn't the case.

Poor Anya, Ponyo! It's horrible when they're ill. Hope she's better soon!

Debka congratulations to your friend! My friend who had a baby a couple of weeks before C had another at the end of December! She's got a 2.5 year old, 1 year old and 2 month old Shock.

tadjennyp · 06/03/2012 18:53

Sorry, haven't posted for a couple of days as S is really clingy with his molar. Will be his tenth tooth. If he's not clinging to me he is knocking the bin over or climbing on his toy box, the little monkey!

Hope A gets better soon, ponyo and tomhubbard too. Poor little mites.

Ledkr, your PILs are really self-absorbed, aren't they? Are they the type who get offended if you are direct, but don't bother picking up on hints? Sound v like mine.

Wishing everyone who's applying lots of luck with job apps It's not easy at the moment. It's just about stopped snowing here. Hope the dcs go down nicely for you.

blizy · 06/03/2012 20:32

ponyo poor Anya, sending her some squishy hugs. Hope she is better soon.

44me It is upsetting how some people are so negative about downs, especially in this day and age.

tad Hope S's tooth comes through soon, poor little guy.

Hope everyone is well, I started work again on Monday and I'm bloody knackered! I have baby mindee tomorrow and can see it far enough, on that note I'm off to try and get some shut eye.

RobinSparkles · 06/03/2012 20:39

Hope you get some sleep Blizy! Sweet dreams Smile

Poor S with his molar tad. Bless him, they're so painful!

ILovePonyo · 06/03/2012 21:24

I've not seen that 44me, sounds interesting, think I know who the actress is though. On a positive note, have you seen the little girl with downs syndrome who does kids modelling? She is so cute Grin and her mum seems cool, in a "it never even occurred to me that she couldn't model" way.

Blizy hope you get some kip. I'll give A a hug from you!

Can't believe the babies are getting molars, yuk I'm dreading it Wink

I emailed in my job application today, fingers crossed eh. Grin

I'm eating mini eggs and drinking wine, very extravagant for a tues night!

Tarlia · 06/03/2012 21:25

Robin, I had to sit here counting on my fingers working that out as I thought it couldn't be right. Woweee!! How early was the 2 month old??

Waves to everyone.. I have just read the last page but will try and read back some.

I have added some photos.

debka · 06/03/2012 21:27

44me it's because most people don't think they should be alive- most would terminate for Downs. Horrible horrible horrible, it always shocks me when I hear people talking on here about it. I would never consider it, I believe children are God's gift, regardless of their DNA. I would struggle not to judge someone who did. (I think that may be the most outspoken I've ever been on MN...)

Molars are awful, Imy didn't get hers till she was 2, poor babies going through it :(

blizy lets hope your utter exhaustion results in some good rest.

Lost 1lb this week, better than a gain I suppose....

debka · 06/03/2012 21:29

X post tarlia- gorgeous photos!

And ponyo- how is Anya this evening?

ILovePonyo · 06/03/2012 21:41

Hi tarlia! Am on my phone do will nosy at your photos when I have the laptop later Smile

Debka well done, a loss is still a loss indeed. A seemed ok, still not right but perked up a bit after some calpol. She's hardly had any food or milk for days now, she feels smaller around her tummy, aw. Oh and agree with you re terminating for downs syndrome.

RobinSparkles · 06/03/2012 21:56

Tarlia she wasn't early! Well she was born at 38ish weeks, my friend got pg straight after her 2nd was born, there's about 10 and a half months between them. Her DD1 born at the beginning of Feb 2011 and her DD2 born end Dec 2011. She has a DS (first born) who is 18 months older than her DD1!

I remember getting the text to say that she was pg again and panicking a bit because I hadn't had my first period after having C yet and I just thought, "How the hell?!?"

RobinSparkles · 06/03/2012 22:01

Tarlia I can't see your pics Sad. Sort it aaaht! I used to be WanderingSheep, btw in case you didn't know. Smile

Which reminds me that I need to swap my profile over but I'm not sure how to do it. Hmm...

ledkr · 07/03/2012 08:50

I have a friend who's dc are in the same yr at school, now that is quick. No danger of that happening to us sexless lot haha im going to bed earlier and earlier these days and certainly cant be bothered to move once im in bed, never mind shag Grin
Dilly ate her dinner and breakfast herself from a bowl last night and managed not to chuck it so hopefully we are on the right track.
She is still not fully walking but taking about 6-10 steps at once.
We have singing today then im helping at the school then straight to dancing phew!Dh is on 4-12 so its my worst night.
I just told him he is like a child.I went to bed early last night after cooking and tidying most of the kitchen. The dishwasher needed to go on after he had finished with his plate and the sides needed wiping down.
I got up this morning and none of it had been done. The heating was left on all night and the back door unlocked. Does anyone else ever tire of being the grown up Hmm

americanexpat · 07/03/2012 09:04

debka - I try not to judge other people but I couldn't terminate for Down's either. I don't think I could terminate for any reason tbh.

Robin - Shock at your friend.

tad - poor S, I hope it comes through quickly.

It seems L may be an overachiever in the teething department? His top 4 teeth came in within a week and all 4 molars did the same, so teething hasn't been too horrible.

I hope all the poorly babies (and hubbard's Tom) are feeling better.

blizy · 07/03/2012 09:16

I just found out my younger sis is pg. She text me. Why do I feel so angry and jeaous? I feel so bitter and horrible I am really ashamed of myself. She smoked all the way through her last pregnancy and will prob do the same again Angry. i really don't want anything bad to happen, of course I don't, but I hate feeling this way. Sad
