Glad you got a lie in Blizy. I watched We Need To Talk About Kevin the other day. I was ironing so I probably didn't get as into it as I could have but I thought it was quite good. Chilling, yes!

ILovePonyo · 04/03/2012 16:32

Hi all, just got back from my mums, I have had A Very Poorly Baby all weekend Sad She was properly sick on fri and fri night then just flopping around all day yest, sleeping on me or my mum. My sister wouldn't go near her for fear of being thrown up on Grin
She's on the mend now but it's coming out of the other end now, she pooed in the car and it went everywhere yuk. (hope no ones eating!)
I'm going to have to keep her off nursery tomo aren't I. Does anyone have any advice for feeding her? She's had a bit of milk, banana and toast but isn't really hungry to be honest.

So that's my lovely news Hmm blizy and robin I want to watch we need... Film too. I watched a film called Hanna at the weekend which was good.

ILovePonyo · 04/03/2012 16:36

Oh I should mention poorly baby meant I got a lie in til 9 yest and 8.30 today Shock and I didn't have to do any of the vomity washing - my mum did it all Grin

blizy · 04/03/2012 17:14

Ponyo- poor Anya, but good time timing.

Dh, was rather drunk last night, but he was so sad. My heart was breaking for him I felt so helpless, I just held him until he fell asleep.Sad. I moved to the spare room during the night (he was snoring), when I went back to our room this morning he was sleeping with Zoe's bear. I feel so very selfish as I haven't really thought how the last few weeks have affected him.

He is out today, taking our dn to the wrestling. I hope it has cheered him up.

americanexpat · 04/03/2012 17:48

Oh blizy Sad I think they try to appear strong for us (weren't you saying he was worried about you?) so it's easy to forget that they're grieving too.

Ponyo - Hope A is on the mend. Yes, I think you have to keep her out of nursery tomorrow. Ours has a 48hr rule with D&V.

L has been Very Hard Work this weekend. He must be teething as he's chewing on everything and the front of his shirt is soaked. He's also resisting naps even though he's crying from tiredness.

DH went out last night and I stayed in with a bottle of wine and a rom-com. Less than half a bottle and I was a bit hungover this morning. Shock How times have changed.

tadjennyp · 04/03/2012 18:40

Sad Sad Sad blizy.

Ponyo - hope A is feeling on top form asap. Sicky babies are distressing.

It doesn't take much these days for a hangover, does it expat? Wink

S is getting a second molar which is hurting him quite a bit. He is still practising walking though and laughing his socks off.

Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend.

debka · 04/03/2012 19:30

ponyo poor old Anya. I would just offer her normal food and let her eat what she fancies and not worry too much if she doesn't want to eat. We had more sick here last night too . Imy had been a bit odd in the evening, I forced her to eat her tea (bad, bad Mummy), then at midnight DH woke me because she'd been sick and had a raging temperature. She was ok this morning but not right this afternoon.

blizy so sad, poor DH and you too :( I hope you're sleeping a bit better now.

expat sounds like hard work, hope the teeth come through quickly.

reastie I missed you! Damn internet, get it fixed pronto!

ledkr good weekend?

wiggles hope everyone's still getting better :)

Well I'm officially job hunting, girls, since we've been shafted by tax credits. I'm going to start asking round at local pubs/restaurants to see if anyone can give me some evening work. DH is happy to put the girls to bed a few nights a week if it means I can bring home some money.

wigglesrock · 04/03/2012 20:19

ponyo Poor A hope she feels better soon, I've seen Hanna too, I quite liked it and of course the yummy Eric Bana was in it [sigh]

americanexpat and tad I stopped drinking after Sofia, I would literally have one drink and be dying the next day, as in one of those "oh please let it be bedtime already" type of hangovers. It just wasn't worth it,

blizy poor dh, at least you were there for him when he came in, hope he enjoyed the wrestling

ledkr hope weekend went ok and you are now pil free and relaxing Grin. When does Es show start?

debka good luck with the job hunting xx

All good here, same old weekend - work, Mums, dinner etc. Mr W took the girls to see the Muppets this morning - they loved it, he really loved it Grin

OP posts:
Four4me · 04/03/2012 20:51

Evening all. Poor A ponyo hope she is better very soon.

deb good luck with the job hunting.

mrblizy big hug Sad

I very rarely drink now as I get a bad head the next morning from one glass of wine Blush

We took the three boys to see the Muppets in half term, they loved it.

All good here, dh away with work for the next few days so it's 'me verses them!!!!'

wiggles have been talking to my dsis about visiting her in Belfast in the Easter hols. Probably bring Joseph and Archie with me. Dh will have to work so dmil will help him with Thomas and Imogen at home. Dsis only has a tiny flat and there is no way I could manage all of them on the flight on my own (Thomas still needs help with the toilet and Imogen is 2!!!!). If it works out that I get over there we could organise a meet up if you are up for it!!!!!

RobinSparkles · 04/03/2012 20:53

Poor Anya Sad. Hope she's better soon! I never know what to give them to eat when they're poorly. I googled it once and babycentre said "easily digestible things" like bananas and yoghurt but yoghurt and milky things, I would have thought, would be the worst Hmm Confused. I suppose just give her what she seems to fancy and just make sure you have the bucket handy!

Blizy my heart goes out to your lovely DH.

ILovePonyo · 04/03/2012 21:09

Thanks all, am going to keep her off nursery but have a feeling she might be better tomo!

Robin I thought the same about yoghurt too, confusing isn't it. She ate some earlier but has hardly eaten anything recently, or had much milk. I kept a bucket handy at my mums and never got to it quick enough - I caught sick in my hands most of the time Hmm

Four4 and wiggles another meet up, exciting! wigs when watching Hanna I thought 'ooh who do I know that likes Eric bana - oh its wiggles' Grin

blizy how is dh now? Men do tend to hide their feelings don;t they, suppose he doesn;t want to upset you so keeps it quiet until it builds up. Really feel for him (and you). Glad you got a big lie in, hope you sleep better tonight too.

deb poor Imy too, you've had some yukky illnesses to deal with recently havn't you?! Good luck with job hunting. How are you feeling about the late nights/early mornings, am only asking b'cos of my experience with pub work before xmas :)

tadj how many teeth has S got? Can't believe hes getting molars, A still only has her 2 bottom teeth, no sign of anymore!

american hope L is better tomo. Was the film any good?

Was ledkr in Brum this weekend?

Off to bed soon, no noises from A in bed so fingers crossed Grin

wigglesrock · 04/03/2012 22:33

ponyo to be fair, I can usually find a good looking man in most films -I'm lucky like that Grin, hope A feels better.

Four4Me that would be brilliant Grin, hope all the dates work out.

Oh and a portent to the future - Sofia was at a mini-makeover Shock party this weekend. The gold glittery eyeshadow she came home wearing really matched her pink fingernails, and they really matched her tattoo which really matched her face jewels Grin and to you know what the funniest thing was she looked feckin' gorgeous!

OP posts:
RobinSparkles · 04/03/2012 22:57

Grin at Sofia's mini make over!

We lived in London for a few months when Isabel was about 2 and a half. We took her into Hamley's toy shop and there was this woman demonstrating these nail art nail varnishes and Isabel made a beeline for her. The lady painted all of her fingers on one hand and she was sooo proud! She didn't stop looking at them ALL day! Sign of things to come, I think - although she's always begging me to do her nails.

Emski76 · 05/03/2012 06:52

Morning all!
Ponyo, yuck about Anya's sickness, poor her, you and your mum! Hope she's better soon.

Ledkr, good weekend with the in laws?

Wiggles, am very jealous of mini makeover! I would love it! Be fab if you and Four4 could have a meet up!

Blizy, aw poor dh. I expect like most men he holds it in then when he's had a few bevvies it all comes out. Big hugs to you both.

Deb, good luck with the job hunting. Hope Imys better soon.

We had a good weekend @ Bristol and a walk along the harbour on Saturday, then I met my sis for lunch yesterday. Shame it has to be Monday again really.

blizy · 05/03/2012 07:45

Morning!

ledkr Hope the weekend was good and the outlaws left at a respectable time.

wiggles I can just imagine Sophia being all proud of her makeover.

debka good luck with the job search. Poor Imy, with more sickness.

emski glad you had a good weekend, I agree Monday comes around way to quickly!

Another night of a 2 hour sleep here Confused, where am I going to get the energy for all of this swi? Grin

americanexpat · 05/03/2012 10:14

L's bottom lateral incisors appear to be coming through. He has 10 teeth already, all 4 molars. How many teeth do the other babies have? When do we finally get a break from the teething? Confused

debka - good luck with the job hunt.

Ponyo - it was Rumour Has It. Not bad but Jennifer Aniston really winds me up. Grin Shock at catching sick in your hands, I'd prob do the same though. It's easier to wash my hands than scrub the carpet.

wiggles - I think S would be gorgeous wearing a potato sack, based on her photos.

RobinSparkles · 05/03/2012 12:17

Wow, 10 teeth American? C has 8 teeth. DD1 was the same as your L and had all of her teeth quite early.

Nothing to report here! All boring boring boring .

What is everyone doing with all their outgrown baby clothes? I really want to sell mine as I can't afford to chuck them out/give them away. Just wondering if anyone has sold any and found it worth the hassle. If not then I'll just charity bag them.

RobinSparkles · 05/03/2012 12:24

Sorry American, I meant to add that the quicker all their teeth come through then, I guess, the quicker it's over with! If the worst ones are through (the molars) then it's good that they're over with. My friend had a nightmare with her DS1 whose molars took ages to come through. His cheeks were constantly red and he was in pain because they were moving about. They finally came through when he was two and a half, bless him.

Emski76 · 05/03/2012 12:49

Hi all again
American. 10 teeth!!! Noah has 7. Robin is thinking right tho ,get all the teething over and done with now!!

Robin, I have been to two preused sales and sold a fair bit. I had to pay for a table but managed to get rid of a bit of stuff. Anything I don;t manage to sell went to charity.

ledkr · 05/03/2012 13:42

Shock at Molars???
Im at workio so just a quickie to say hi and update that no exciting brum stories but will try later, and the feckers pil managed to hang around till 7 despite me and dh obviously tired and busy with the girls and talking longingly about an early night. We got home at 12 and mil has managed to get Dills saying nana and had critsised Ellas make up she put on to see her Dad which wiggs looked very subtle and in fact beautiful, the old bitch upset her a bit and she had to have one of her new hamsters put to sleep on the Sat am so could have been more sensitive Shock I told Ella she was probably jealous as she has a sour face herself Grin Im such a bad parent.
Anyway, they had eaten half my fruit bowl and were making Eggs when i got back and then at 4 asked what was for dinner.Me and dh told them that we had had a cooked breakfast so wouldnt need anything and fil said "well we will need a meal before we go home" Hmm The cheek of it eh? We cooked them pasta and pesto and we had a bar of galaxy in bed when they had gone Grin

MizK · 05/03/2012 14:32

ledkr Ugh at demanding dinner before they'd leave.... odd odd odd people. have they never known the delights of eating junk food in the car? Tell Dilly she's a traitor for saying Nana :)
american 10 teeth here too, have had permanent angst over them for the past few months!
deb good luck with job hunt, you would be fabulous behind a bar with that big smile! Throw in a low cut top and you'll be raking it in tips :)
blizy 2 hours sleep, thats bad. You will just have to lie there and make DH do all the hard work (insight into my poor DP's life there)
ponyo hope A feels better soon poor baby.
wiggles makeover sounds amaze, why dont grown ups throw parties like that?
Since the imms Cassia has been so off. High temp, streaming nose, gluey eyes, crying lots. Her nose keeps actually bleeding today, I feel so evil wiping it cause it makes her sob, so am allowing her to look all crusty and scruffy, to hell with appearances! Anyone else found their baby reacted badly to the latest jabs? I know chicken pox is going around here so am hoping it isnt that.

ledkr · 05/03/2012 18:54

mizk it strange isnt it asking for dinner? Dinner? we ave tea ere Grin

I cant get over how they can be so tiny and so obsessed with food and heres me trying to lose weight eating bird sized portions. They ate half my fruit bowl the greedy feckers.

I need to read thread properly but whats all this about deb becoming a buxom barmaid? I loved being one, twas my best job ever all that flirting and sampling of crisps haha.

Dilly just had paddy when she saw Ella with an ice cream so i gave her one and she ate the lopt apart from the point of the cone which she threw on the floor Hmm

wigglesrock · 05/03/2012 19:57

We have 7 teeth here, five at the top and two at the bottom. Olivia was a terrible teether, quelle surprise I hear you cry, she had none until about 13 months, but now she has the most beautiful teeth, so worth all the pain, screaming and sleepless nights, well the sleepless nights were a given anyway Grin

MizK I know, 30 mins playing in a cool soft play area, then 1 hour of make over followed by yummy food sounds like my idea of a fab party too! Anna has had gluey eyes for the past few days as well, doesn't seem to bother her but not the most attractive, she isn't getting her jabs for a few weeks Hmm

Anna had spaghetti bolognaise for her dinner tonight (which she ate with the grace of a farmyard animal, less Lady and the Tramp more Babe), ledkr tea is a drink here Grin

See because I work at the weekend, Monday is like my Friday, so all in good form here, Mr W and I are embarrasingly excited because the Ides of March is arriving from Love Film tomorrow, ah the glory days are definitely behind us Blush, I am slightly scundered at how looking forward to a dvd we are. Mind you a double whammy of George Clooney and Ryan Gosling is enough to give anyone a frisson of excitement, not sure what Mr Ws excuse is Grin

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 05/03/2012 20:19

Someone please tell me A is not the only Feb baby with very few teeth, she only has 2 on the bottom poor thing! I am Shock at all these babies with a mouthful, although my mum always reminds me I didn;t get a tooth until I was 15 months so A is doing well really Grin

Had an unoaid day off at home with A today, she is def not herself but no yuk diahrrea (however you spell it). She was doing some foul trumps though haha. Think unless she is really uwell tomo I'll send her to nursery, for the morning at least. Is that bad? I really have to work in the morning but could prob cancel my afternoon appointments, I don't know if its bad to send her to nursery when she'll be all clingy and sorry for herself?

ledkr Hmm to your pil, they don't have a clue do they, no social awareness at all. Suppose your dh is just used to it/them by now. A did the exact same when I gave her a mini ice cream at xmas, at it all then chucked the pointy bit away, I was telling her there was chocolate in it but it made no difference!

Wiggles A is pretty good at shovelling pasta and sauce in too, funny. Enjoy your 'friday' night in with Mr W, and film night tomorrow, never heard of that one tbh Confused

MizK poor Cass! I often give up with nose wiping, especially when we're at home, I try and remember out in public Grin Cant believe she has TEN teeth, yikes. Hope she is better soon too.

emski sounds like a lovely weekend, the weather was so nice wasn't it. I took A out for a walk today seeing as I'd been stuck in all weekend, was good to get a bit of fresh air!

Robin I did ebay some baby clothes a while back but it just seems such a faff to photograph them, put them on ebay and then I misjudged the postage so some lucky gits got some right bargains from me, I made a loss Blush Hmm I think a sale like emski mentioned could be the way to go, actually emski how did you price everything? (iykwim)

american jennifer aniston always seems just like her friends character to me, I like her tho Grin Blush

Hi everyone else, espeically blizy I hope you manage more sleep tonight.

Am off to finish a job application I;m doing (shh). I can tell work is getting me down as I didn't mind staying off today, normally I hate having to do that with or without baby.

ledkr · 05/03/2012 20:50

ponyo Dilly has 4 at the top and 2 plus 2 halves at the bottom.
Ella was also a bit late,i always think its good as the teeth stay protected longer.
