Grin

Welcome back to the fold! (geddit??)

ILovePonyo · 29/02/2012 20:49

Aha, you were Wandering Grin also glad ledkr asked

Robin yes yes to posting in my head, there is loads that I've meant to post when lurking during the day but probably havn't. Though my lovely iphone means I can lurk and post all day long, especially at work (which was still a bit crappy but thank you for asking :))

C sounds similar to A recently. So when you sit with her do you just, sit (feels stupid asking) its just that I can imagine crying and crying, getting more worked up and looking at me like I need to help her :(

deb congrats again - wow youre doing amazingly. Am a bit jel Grin And woo to Having a Cuddle - do you get a say?! Wink

ledkr good luck for Dils and her vacs tomo.

A is asleep - dp cuddled her to sleep. Eek please let her sleep well.

ILovePonyo · 29/02/2012 20:49

Anya crying and crying not me!

RobinSparkles · 29/02/2012 21:02

Yes, I got tired with all the Wandering about (har de har).

Ponyo she went through a stage of actually coming into bed with us because I couldn't handle being up all night with her and she wouldn't settle at all. It was a nightmare because she didn't want me cuddling her as she wanted her space, she just wanted me there, so she'd be kicking me and nobody got any sleep. At the moment she seems happy for me to hold her hand through the bars for a bit or just sit there and shhhh her because she knows I'm there. It seems like we've moved forward as she's staying in her own bed all night but we just need to get her to sleep all night . But who knows what next month will bring

blizy · 29/02/2012 21:06

robin I hope Lottie is feeling better.

Sorry ponyo but Grin at Anya giggling.

ledkr Yet again I am Angry on your behalf regarding pils, I too would make dh do everything for them. I hope Dilly is ok with her injection.

debka Well done, you are doing so well! Grin at your dh coaching Imy to leave you both in peace for a "cuddle".

I prob spend about £80 per week on my shopping, bear in mind I buy in healthy snacks for my mindees and go through a ridiculous amount of fruit and cleaning products with work! I would say half of my budget is for work purpose.

I am feeling good today, I am glad we were able to celebrate Zoe yesterday.
We got sky tv in today, guess how I will be spending my last few days off work? Grin

I hope you are all good and the babies all sleep well tonight.

blizy · 29/02/2012 21:10

wow, cross posted with everybody!

robin Do I get bonus points for knowing who you are/were?

ledkr · 29/02/2012 21:24

ponyo Ah it sounded sweet her giggling on the moni but id have been pissed off if it was Dilly. We stopped ridiculous night feeds and just had to comfort her back to sleep for ages,by shush patting. It was the day i cuddled her for ages then put her back down that she stopped waking up.What was going on at work then?Is it better?
Well ds who needs a kidney has been dumped today by his gf.Its a nightmare cos it means he will probably have to come home as he wont be able to be alone when his dyalisis starts.I know it sounds bad cos of course we will look after him but it will be extra pressure on me as ever Hmm
ponyo have you seen grimm yet?Its really good. So is ghost town. Im loving the walking dead too but i was annoyed at the lack of a good zombie fight last night.
robin Dills doesnt do coming in with us,she hates it,even if we try and do it in the morning she screams,i think she thinks she is being made to go back to sleep and just wants up.

RobinSparkles · 29/02/2012 21:29

Yay, Blizy you can have a sticker and a penguin biscuit! Grin

RobinSparkles · 29/02/2012 21:34

Your poor DS Ledkr. When does his dialysis start?

ILovePonyo · 29/02/2012 21:39

robin I am nodding in agreement at your description of C wanting her own space but crying otherwise, just like A! She sleeps bloody sideways in our bed, I was teetering on the edge of our big kingsize last night thanks to her and dp Hmm Will try holding her hand and shh pat, thanks for that (and ledkr too)

ledkr Work is just a bit shit, not the actual job but being in a different team who I feel are being funny with me as there is a lot of redundancy/shuffling around and one person from the team has to move elsehwere, they are a bit "well why should she go if ponyo was here last?" and it makes me uncomfortable. Grin at them calling me ponyo though. Shh don't tell anyone but I've seen a job I might apply for, will tell more if I get an interview.
That is really sad about your ds, poor bloke, didn' they live together too?

I watched Grimm and really liked the first one but the one with Bees recently was a bit rubbish in my opinion. More zombies need in Walking dead definitely!

blizy helloooo, have you eaten any of that delicious looking cake yet?! Glad you're feeling ok today. Enjoy Sky - so much crap to watch!

tadjennyp · 29/02/2012 21:41

So sorry about your ds ledkr. Hope he gets his kidney soon and he recovers easily.

Blush I wrote and asked wiggles who Robin was as I thought everyone else knew! Grin

Enjoy your sky tv blizy, you deserve it.

Hope all the night time fun with A and C settles down soon Ponyo and Robin. A full night's sleep would be amazing, wouldn't it? Hmm

Well done on the weight loss debka - that is fantastic. Have fun with the 'cuddle' too! Wink

S has started taking a few steps now, always with a massive grin on his face! Makes you fall in love all over again when they can do something new. Anyway, enough soppiness from me. A is playing with the snow in the garden while E bounces a ball for S. Tis very cute!

Sending lots of sleepy vibes.

RobinSparkles · 29/02/2012 22:09

Lol, I should have made you all guess!

Yay, for taking steps Tad! It's exciting when they do new things. Lottie doesn't seem near to walking yet. She cruises and has walked with the walker but she still seems quite unsteady so I think it'll be a few months for us yet.

Ponyo good luck! Hope A sleeps tonight. Sometimes I sing and DH will say, "ooh, listen to Mary Poppins!" Hmm Sometimes it helps but sometimes she tries to "join in"! Hmm

It's a pain when they come in your bed. We have a kingsize too and L takes up all the room too! How can someone so small take up so much room?! Shock Hope you get that new job then you can put two fingers up to them all on your way out!

ledkr · 29/02/2012 22:22

ponyo Its awkward isnt it? We are meant to hot desk but people are very territorial about it and ive been made to feel uncomfotable if im in "their" desk.
Im going to look around too,In the last 2 years i have been moved twice involving 2 pay cuts (lost unsocial hrs pay and on calls)been sent to work in another town, lost my essential car users allowance of 80 per month even though it is essential i use my car,had a pay freeze, had my pension fiddled with and retirement age raised and now we are moving again to the city centre where there is no parking and the council will not refund us if we use a carpark. It getting to the stage where id be better off working in Top shop.I cant understand why people think public sector are so well off.

ds isnt quite at the Dialysis stage, but is weeks or months away from it.Yes they lived together so leaves him in the lurch a bit. Hes really tearfull, its hard to know what to say to him,hes not had much luck with girls even though hes ultra handsome.I can imagine now hes thinking hes never going to get another girl when hes hooked up to a machine every night Sad

WeAreBorg · 29/02/2012 22:34

blizy glad you're okay. Many and multiple most wondrous congratulations on your brand new Sky. I have Virgin, I dumped Sky in a fit of madness and now I want him back. Hope you enjoy him.
wiggles, blizy can use my preferred "fuckity bye" if she likes. I also like Mr. Ws Russian swearing Smile

ledkr I find it incredibly stressful on the few occasions when MIL has had Nate when I've been at work. Have to clean the house, get all his food ready, all her food ready, buy in cake, make sure there's coffee, get all his clothes and nappies out. My mum just does everything, and also makes my lunch for work (I am a PFB hee hee). DH takes the piss out of MIL behind her back but never to her face. The evil witch now has a blue badge FGS - she is the least disabled person I have ever met!

ponyo, robin Nate sleeps with us. He gets up and wanders about, sticks his fingers up my nose and changes our alarm clocks. He still feeds at night but it settles him in about 3minutes and I barely wake up so it's okay, he also sleeps in till late most days, late to bed late to rise I guess. I just accepted he was an atrocious sleeper and gave up, have felt and slept much better since I stopped trying to train him!

expat how is your dad?

tad how cute. Have been jealous that you can drive and ski at the weekends, well you could in theory anyway!

I knew who robin was cos I remembered finding her name funny when she changed. pablosmum your photos are gorgeous, he's very handsome isn't he? I don't understand facebook but your RL name is really pretty (if it's what I think it is)

I am quite amazed at how clever N is becoming. I don't actually mean he is clever I just mean I just find babies this age in general very clever, he just seems to learn new things every day now. Apart from the talking, still zero word count here.

WeAreBorg · 29/02/2012 22:38

ledkr oh your poor DS having to go through all that, and now his girlfriend too. Will be thinking of your family.
I work 40miles away from home and they keep changing my work pattern, they are trying to force us out without making us redundant so as not to pay us all off. Have got a new job now, just haven't told them yet. The fuckers.

tadjennyp · 29/02/2012 23:25

They are at a lovely stage, I think. Just learning how to do lots of stuff and being really thrilled with it.

We are very lucky living here Borg. It is gorgeous. I am not convinced that living so far away from family is worth it though. Trying to make the most of it as much as we can. Congrats on the new job! Is it closer to home?

ILovePonyo · 01/03/2012 08:39

Well she slept through til 5.45 Shock am pleased about that! Funny random babies Confused

Ledkr it's ridiculous the amount of work/caseload you have and the crap working situation just getting worse and worse, fgs it's an important job you're doing you think they d want happy workers.

Borg what's the new job?! Exciting Smile

Tadj I always think "ooh it's late for Tadj to be playing outside with the kids" when I read your posts, only for a minute though then my brain kicks in Grin

It's a really nice day here, so pleased its not all cold and grey anymore.

RobinSparkles · 01/03/2012 09:27

Yay ponyo! L slept too. I can't believe it! I panicked when I woke up this morning!

Grin at N changing the alarms and sticking his fingers up your nose borg! Good luck for the new job, when do you start?

Lovely day here too! A bit chilly still but warm enough for a jacket instead of a coat. Hopefully spring has sprung!

On the talking - L says hiya and ah! When she's giving hugs and ah to her dolls and teddys. DD1 was a talker we couldn't shut her up. She could speak in sentences by 18 months and count to 10 [boast alert]. I don't think lottie will be the same. They're all so different aren't they?

I love the stage that they're at now. Toddlers are hilarious! They become so clever, it's amazing to see them learning everyday!

RobinSparkles · 01/03/2012 09:44

I should have added to my little boast that DD1's speech isn't any different to any other 4/5 year olds and at the age of nearly 5 she sometimes struggles to count to 20, so anyone who is worried about this sort of thing needn't be!

americanexpat · 01/03/2012 10:01

The nursery manager commented yesterday that L has become more dramatic in the last few weeks. Grin Throwing himself on the floor when he doesn't get what he wants, etc. He also loves playing with the hairdressing set - do you think he's too young to learn how to give me a salon dry?

Borg - well done on the new job! When are you telling them to fuck off? Nate sounds like a little scamp from your descriptions. Grin

tad - it is difficult being so far from family. Tbh, I wasn't overly bothered by it until my dad was in hospital. We've not been public about it, but DH accepted a job in WI starting in Sept. I'm sad to leave and not looking forward to the move but we were going to do it eventually.

deb - how was your cuddle? Wink

ledkr - sorry for your DS. Any chance he'll be a help around the house?

My dad was discharged from hospital yesterday with 7 Shock new stents. I spoke with him last night and he said he's feeling back to normal but really thought he was going to die. They were due to go on holiday today but I think they've postponed it.

wigglesrock · 01/03/2012 10:27

americanexpat good news about your Dad xx Anna had a tantrum for 15 mins yesterday for no reason at all Shock, she threw herself on the wooden floor and flailed around with her arms and legs, I think my lack of reaction made her angrier Grin Anna loves hairbrushes but holds them to her ear.

ponyo I don't leave A to cry at night, she goes to bed fine at around 7pm, but would wake up at about midnight (when she used to start demanding bottles), so I lift her into bed with us, she cries, rolls about for a while and cries "Mamaaaa, bobo" which I ignore and then she goes to sleep until about 6.30am now.

Borg well done on the job change.

ledkr poor ds, I know what you mean about the public sector, Mr Ws being screwed re pension at the minute.

We are the house of the plague at the minute, Mr W and Olivia have been taking it in turns to throw up, although Olivia is a lot brighter now, she stomped about this morning when I wouldn't let her go to nursery, but she has in her words an un-uniform day tomorrow so she can't wait to go in and see what everyone is wearing Shock, they're only 4!

blizy How's Sky, I'm a Virgin girl Grin

RobinSparkles I always knew who you were, thanks to my extensive and carefully maintained spreadsheet Grin

OP posts:
blizy · 01/03/2012 10:50

In your dreams wiggles! Grin. Wow to Anna's tantrum, starting early eh? Hope the plague ridden feel better soon.

My area hasn't been equipped with virgin Sad

American- that's fab news about your dad! Excuse my daftness but where is WI? Will you be moving close ( obviously closer than you are now) to family?

Borg- yay for the be job, bet you can't wait to tell them to fuckski offski.Grin

Ponyo- yay to Amy's sleeping!

Ledkr- how sad for your ds, do you tho k there is any chance of them getting back together? It must be really hard for him to deal with, especially with the dialysis looming.

Delia - did you get the job you really wanted?

Chocco- hope you and R are well.

44me- how are the crazy gang?Grin. Has the pox gone?

Ledkr/Ponyo - can you recommend any good prorammes on sky? I'm sitting watching 16 and pregnantBlush.

Reastie- the cake was yummy, even better washed down with champagne!Grin

Robin- your girls sound very sweet.Smile

WeAreBorg · 01/03/2012 11:35

What a lovely morning it is here, makes me all the more Angry to have to go to work until midnight. Public sector for both DH and I too, so yes to pensions being screwed up, working until we're 105, etc etc. winge winge

blizy Sky is better than Virgin, my on demand TV always says it's not working. I quite like Homeland at the moment but that's on normal telly isn't it? Trueblood is great, but rather norty.

expat yes where is WI? We must organise the great Northern meet then in Edinburgh if you're going? .
7 stents!! I didn't know there was enough places to put 7, glad he's been discharged. Do you think he'll finally change his ways?
Yes scamp is a very fitting word for N, my parents are up and have been giggling non-stop at him, he's really performing for them Grin
How great if L could do your hair, must train N up.

Robin Lottie sounds gorgeous. Nate hates all cuddly toys, I thought babies were meant to like them - do any of the others hate them or does this mean I have raised a psycho?

Tad we were going to move abroad, but we have rethought now we have the baby as I didn't realise how much I would need my mum. We'd still like to go sometime.

For some reason I have to fill in a tax return so going to have a look before going to boring work, see yous later

blizy · 01/03/2012 12:01

Borg- what do you work as? Ohh I could do a northern meet up in edinburghWink.
I am watching homeland and I love trueblood, we have watched them all (thanks to Dh and is naughty downloadingGrin) they do seem to be getting stranger though!

americanexpat · 01/03/2012 12:15

You mean you're not all experts in American geography? ShockGrin WI is Wisconsin. We will be closer to my family (4.5hr drive) and my mum is already promising to look after L if we want a holiday on our own. Grin

Borg - not only did he have 7 stents this time but he already had stents done 5 years ago (not sure how many) plus 6 bypasses 14 years ago. I've no idea what's holding his heart together. The man's living on borrowed time, hopefully he's finally realised that. Yes, we should do the meet sometime. [cracks whip for Borg while slobbing about not doing any of the work].

Robin - I compose many lengthy, clever and insightful posts in my head that never actually get posted.

wiggles - Shock at the tantrum. I can't believe it's starting so early. DH took the nail clippers away from L last night and he had a massive dramatic meltdown. Hmm Hope the plague clears out from your house ASAP.

blizy - how did you make the cake? I'm rubbish at making cakes here because the flour is different.
