MamaMaiasaura · 13/03/2012 19:46

fuzzy oh my! That sounds like some serious poo. Bless her. I net you remind her she ate poo when older. Joys of parenthood.

FuzzzyDuck · 13/03/2012 19:57

It's all over me too. I was half undressed. Yuck!!! My nice bubble bath is running, just waiting on her dozing off. She missed out tonight Grin!!

CheshireDing · 13/03/2012 21:12

Upside down Mama?! Grin

Jnice that sounds a bit harsh from your DH :( Is he a big tough Canadian who doesn't show his feelings?. Gutted you missed seeing DS about his salmon picture, hopefully he saw it up and will be secretly dead pleased. Mummydom is a minefield Smile

BB3 and Sassy DH and I have been thinking of going to Ibiza for a week to have a lie-in! and I do mean sleep, not naughtyness. How rubbish are we Grin

BB3 your poor Son not hearing all that time. I guess because they spend such a lot of their awake time at nursery you would have expected better from them.

Think P has got the same bug as yours Edward and Mama, possibly S has it too FD. Poor P is all snotty and hot, I had a sore throat and now have the snot and cough, then DH did so I guess she never stood a chance.

Mama everytime P chuckles I can't help laughing too. I think iphone is an obsession for my DH!

Hope Scheh feels better when we next hear from her Sad

MamaMaiasaura · 13/03/2012 22:01

cheshire I don't carry her around by her ankles Grin honest! I do hold her upside down facing me by her waist/hips and raspberry her little chubby tummy. Se chortles and clings to my head lol.
Hope P ok, so many bugs flying around x

Yes, hope scheh feeling better and rested soon

CheshireDing · 13/03/2012 22:29

Ahh P loves flying baby and raspberries on her tummy so I might try upside down too Mama.

We had a poo incident too today, although it wasn't hands down pants poo and eating poo Grin. Went to get P weighed and she had pooped through everything except her cardigan. She ended up being carried back through the village where I saw 2 other Mums I know and had to explain that I do normally dress my baby, she doesn't usually just wear a cardi and emergency vest from her change bag. Even her tights couldn't be saved so she had naked tootsies too, good job it was sunny.

FD she weighs 14lbs at 23 weeks (was probably a bit heavier before the poo)! She seems to be around 18/20th centile.

FuzzzyDuck · 13/03/2012 22:41

Grin at P! That's funny!! I've started packing a few spare changes of clothes due to being caught out in the past few weeks. How funny! I think our girls must be around the same size then. That was 2 wks ago S was 14.4 so she will be up slightly now Smile

Scheherezade · 13/03/2012 23:02

Hi all, thanks for the well wishes :) have got internet on my phone so will probably run up a massive bill!

It's ok in here, only 2 other mums. Very noisy though :( Fx C sleeps through it. Forgot bottles so bf C through the night.

fuzzzy how on earth did it end up in her mouth?!

The quickest way to get C chuckling away is to kiss under his chin in all the soft folds :)

PenguinArmy · 13/03/2012 23:05

sch will be thinking of you

MamaMaiasaura · 13/03/2012 23:09

scheh glad you got the Internet there. Do they have wifi you can hook up to? Aww at kissing folds under his chin. Smile
Hope it quietens down so you can get sleep tonight.

Re poo in mouth, J is everywhere with her hand now that along with the escaping I have to watch her hands too. She's a right pickle.

Just about to do dream feed and then sleep I hope.

(on an embarrassing note are any of you large up top as I'm feeling a little sore between my boobs. Don't know whether to slap some sudocrem there Blush)

Scheherezade · 13/03/2012 23:15

No WiFi, just on my phone internet which runs off..... Magic? I dunno haha. Just ordinary phone internet. I'm not very technical. I get a certain amount download free, will call orange tomorrow to find out so I don't end up with huge bill.

Can't sleep, hate being away from DP :(

MamaMaiasaura · 13/03/2012 23:32

Sad scheh (hug) is C in your room? Hope you aren't in for long.

J coughing loads, farting and coughing. Why does my daughter punctuate every sudden noise with a fart? Sneezes too. Poor girl, she really sounds like its bothering her (cough not other end). I've propped up her mattress so I hope that will help. Fx doesn't go to her chest

LittlePebble · 14/03/2012 03:14

Scheh hope you manage to get some sleep and lots of support there, what are the staff like? Xx
BB3 poor K so glad you've got a diagnosis now, hope the grommets work.

Bleurgh at all this poo! Luckily we haven't had hands wandering into nappies yet! E however thinks the funniest thing is our dog licking his hands it makes him roar with laughter but I have to have eagle eyes as he then shoves his hands straight in his mouth (yuk emoticon)
Jnice hope you get a better night and DS saw his salmon picture xx
Did the 5k walk today and so far we've raised about £3500 so not too bad but not quite the £5k target. Nice pictures on my fb if anyone is interested.
Sat feeding and I can hear banging from downstairs, wimp that I am I daren't go look at what it is....!

LittlePebble · 14/03/2012 03:15

Mama yes I'd use some sudocrem xx

FuzzzyDuck · 14/03/2012 08:03

Well done to all of you lp Smile

We had a bit more of an unsettled night. She woke a few times looking for dummy. Think it's time to move her into own room where it will be much quieter. The daft cats often decide to have a mad 10 mins in the middle of the night which usually wakes me up, so no doubt her too Angry. Curious though.... Her room is quite a bit away from mine, I have a monitor but should I leave her door open or closed..? The cats won't dare go in her cot as they know she is in there and are scared of her Grin. If I did shut the door, what if she was crying and I never heard her? Sad. What is your set up like?

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 14/03/2012 08:26

I shut the door but have monitor on. But then I'm a floor away anyway so doubt the door being open would make a difference. I need kids doors shut so they don't wake each other.

every hour last night, including two where he didn't sleep in between. DD is teething and up since 5:15, this will be a lazy parenting day.

FuzzzyDuck · 14/03/2012 09:01

Aww penguin Sad

MrsHende · 14/03/2012 09:58

What a few days we're having!

After taking Lizzie to the OOH gp on Saturday and them telling us she had gastroenteritis I then woke up on Monday with the same symptoms. Not pleasant at all.

DH had to go back to his home town for a family funeral for a few day and thank goodness my mum and dad came through. I was totally floored by it, scared to pick L up incase I dropped her. Poor old mum and dad left yesterday when DH came home but they looked grim, I think they might have caught it too Sad.

On top of this she's now teething with a vengeance - one rosy red cheek, temp, endless drool and lots of tears Sad.

So looking forward to feeling well again.

Scheh, I hope you begin to feel a bit more on top of things soon. It's great that you have that facility to help you out.

Mama, go for the sudocream, it can't hurt - it's known as magic cream in this house.

Fuzzzy, I'm not sure what I'd do - I know DH would close the door! I would be a bit concerned about the cats deciding to be brave and investigating the cot though. Why don't you have a trial of the monitor? Put a radio on in her room with the door closed and see if you can hear it clearly in your room with the monitor. (I've no idea if that'll work or not but worth a try!)

strawberrypenguin · 14/03/2012 11:15

scheh hope you got some sleep and feel better soon

lp well done! That's a great amount :)

fuzzzy glad S is feeling better. We have W's door closed and ours open, also have a monitor - ours has a video screen on it so if it does go off its handy to check and see if he's just getting comfortable or actually needs something

BB3 glad you've finally got a diagnosis for DS, shame you had to stamp to get it though, if I were you I think I would keep stamping now to make sure he gets the right treatment fast

mrsH hope you and L feel better soon

FuzzzyDuck · 14/03/2012 11:48

strawberry was it yesterday W hospital app? How did everything go?

sassy34264 · 14/03/2012 11:52

mrsh oh no, you, mama and jnice just seem to have all the bad luck! hope you all get a good streak soon. x

fuzzy i would close it. i to would be scared of the cats getting in and sitting on her. i keep mine in with me until they're 8months- not 100% sure why, but think i probably read it when chloe was a baby.

well eva has continued to sleep through. it must be over a week now- long may it continue!!!! not teething yet though, so that might make her regress.

gave her 1 little feeding spoonful of petit filous yesterday. she wasnt too impressed and pulled a right yuk face. going to try the bland baby rice like i originally planned. she barely ate any of it but for some reason her poo is a totally diffrent consistency!

scheh hope you get lots of help/tips etc why you are in there. was going to say to you the other day, but forgot (sorry) that if you want a meet up at the trafford centre i have no life i can meet you anytime. Grin x

sassy34264 · 14/03/2012 11:58

also mamma your posts keep making me smile. i only go on mumsmet on my phone and the writing is really small, so your j looks like a i to me.
so when you talk about j pooing or farting, i have a wry smile!
juvenile i know!

strawberrypenguin · 14/03/2012 12:11

fuzzy thanks for asking but no :) we go in tomorrow and they do the op on Friday. He's very sleepy today though, probably means he'll be a nightmare to try and settle while we are there tomorrow!

PenguinArmy · 14/03/2012 12:42

phew I thought it was the 16th

Jnice · 14/03/2012 16:22

MrsH glad you are on the mend now, wha a horrible few days Sad

scheh I hope the rest is doing you some good and you are being well taken care of.

My DH is going away for a week before Easter and I broke down and asked mum to come and stay. She said yes! I'm so excited, she will be coming out a week on Monday.

Last night DH gave L a bottle of formula and he was out like a light. No spit ups at all. He still woke to feed 3 times but he slept pretty well and no bad tummy reaction. This morning after my milk he is back to barfing all over me again Sad
