Yay! Iv lost count as to what thread this is!!

Thanks ed iv got some snuffle baby rub on her which I think is helping. Just wish she could blow her nose and it would all be clear. Expecting a bit much I know!! Shock at your doc!! Honestly, some are on such a power trip Angry. Stay well out of her way lol. Weekend was great thanks Grin. Was glad to get home to my girl though. We had to drive up from prestwick airport so didn't get home till 9.30pm. My mum tried to keep her up but she was to sleepy. Got lovely smiles and hugs this morning though. My mum has totally changed her routine about as well! She has got her doing 40 min nap at 11ish then the monkey was sleeping 2 hours for her at 3ish Envy. I get 4 x 30 min naps normally!! She did do the 40 mins this morning tho then 1 hrs 15 at 3pm and that was her till bed at 7.45pm. Suits me she has longer naps. Let's try stick to it now!! Always ment to ask, how is potty training with C going?! All well I hope Smile

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 15/02/2012 01:11

Yeah he's doing great ATM I still put a nappy on to go out and for sleeping and will do till I run out but most mornings his nappy is dry anyway. If he's wearing nothing down below he has no accidents ever but as soon as I put pants or trousers on he forgets. Thinking of buying training pants for going out as a sort of halfway?

He has started being very rough with M though I don't think he means any harm just gives her far too tight hugs or tries to pick her up.

I gave M her first taste of yogurt yesterday just a cpl of dips of my pinky for her to suck she was very annoyed after a few tastes that she didn't get anymore lol

Marking my spot :)

LittlePebble · 15/02/2012 01:56

Thanks for new thread Ed!

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 05:58

Glad you had a good time fuzzzy but DoD you not bring yourself an Irishman back?!

1, 3, 5.30am feeds here :( wondering if this is the 'real' 4m spurt, he's 20 weeks.

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 05:59

Did

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 07:31

He was awake at 7, feeding now. Please, please let him go back to sleep!! I can't co sleep, just can't figure out him/me/duvet positioning.

LittlePebble · 15/02/2012 07:34

Oh Scheh Sad you've had a tough night. We've had one too as Eli can't sleep due to cough etc so I kicked DP to spare room at 3am to get some sleep and coslept so E was propped up. Hardly got any sleep though am knackered!
Can you try and nap today when he does?

CheshireDing · 15/02/2012 07:37

Oh Scheh yes I reckon it is his growth spurt. P was waking every 90 minutes I think it was last week (and poss the week before) can't remember exactly now. It killed me, plus her snotty nose :( It seems to have passed now though - she woke at 1am and 3.40am last night and then I usually wake her at 7am but DH has walked the dog so I am being a lazy tramp relaxing.

Oh and when P did keep waking she would feed for nearly an hour. It will definitely pass I am sure of it, chin up and plough on :)

CheshireDing · 15/02/2012 07:41

I was too scared to co-sleep too I did try the suggestions below and I used to end up with P on my chest and me propped on he pillow - sleep in an odd possition was better than no sleep I figured.

I can't remember whether it was Bilblio or Mama who suggested putting a dressing gown on and then pushing the duvet right down, prob just around your knees and I think it was Pebble who said she wore a long sleeved cardi so keeping her top half warm. It's worth trying these because then the baby is just lying on the bed.

strawberrypenguin · 15/02/2012 07:52

Hope everyone had a good nights sleep last night :) not too bad here W went through until 6:30 so can't really complain!

I've never been brave enough to co-sleep I just get freaked out at the idea Blush I had a few nights early on when I ended up sleeping on the sofa with him asleep on my shoulder though.

cheshire snap W finally seems to have settled on the 25th percentile too, hes been slowly working his way down but he must have justhada lot of birth chub to loose, was 13lb 5oz when I weighed him last week.

Got our first giggle yesterday :o

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 15/02/2012 07:57

Mhairi got weighed yesterday and is now 14 lb 10oz so has put on 8 oz in 3 weeks Shock she is on 75th centile I think

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 07:59

Well I spent half an hour trying to figure put how to lie down to feed, gave up so am back to sitting up. I must not have the right size/shape boobs. And no chance at working duvet logistics, too cold to nor have it pulled up, which isn't safe for him. Actually no idea how co sleeping is actually possible.

Going a bit loopy from sleep deprivation.

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 08:02

Oops, missed above posts. Will try those ideas, hoping he goes back to sleep soon.....

BB3 · 15/02/2012 08:07

Just marking my space.

Hope everyone's ok.

Sche I can't feed lying down either but I do love co-sleeping x

Jnice · 15/02/2012 08:16

Ugh, awake for first feed only 2.5 hrs after going to sleep. That's his longest stretch! I think this is going to be a rough one.

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 08:18

Well done for first giggle strawberry :) you'll have to try get it on film!

emmazed · 15/02/2012 08:36

J is hovering around the 25th centile as well. I think he would be higher, but he is still not a great eater ( I think due to wind). I keep thinking that we have it sorted because we have a good day, then he reverts back to hardly eating anything.... He seems to me quite long and skinny. He fits into his 3-6m clothes, but they are quite baggy and he doesn't have many folds in his skin that babies usually have.

Thanks for the offers of help. I have bought fuzzi bunz, which are all in one nappies. I tried them again yesterday with an additional booster. I will get in touch with the lady I bought them from. I don't like the waste with disposables, but there is no point using real nappies if I need to change his clothes every couple of hours

My lovely dh bought me a huge bunch of flowers, and best of all an appoint for a manicure and pedicure for sat, with the offer of him looking after J. V excited!

Sorry about all the coughing, snuffly babies. J has not had a bad cold yet, just a few days of congestion, not looking forward to it.

FuzzzyDuck · 15/02/2012 08:39

I bring S into bed with me at 8ish and we both doze on and off till I give her feed at 9. She is still in her sleeping bag and the duvet is just to top of her legs as she did feel cold. I like co sleeping but I then struggle to sleep as I will have S at one side of me, one cat laying against my back on the other and one down at my feet and people wonder why im single Grin

No, didn't manage to bring a hot Irish man home EnvySad

Yay for giggles!!!

FuzzzyDuck · 15/02/2012 08:43

Oh S is just above the 9th centile. She is more long I think. Is looking more chubby(ish) now but still a little tot. Woman in asda yesterday didn't believe me when I said she was 4 1/2 months!

I watched last wks obem last night, Shock that poor woman!!! How horrific for them. Glad everything was ok in the end Smile

MrsHende · 15/02/2012 09:18

Sorry about the bad nights, but hooray for giggles!

So disappointed you didn't come back with a hunky, baby and cat loving Irish man fuzzzy!

L is on the 9th centile for weight too but I think she's around the 50th for length. She does seem skinny to me but I'm trying not to panic about it - going to go to the HV clinic on Monday to see how she's doing (Lizzie that is, not to see how the health visitor is doing Grin).

It's a beautiful day here so we're going to walk into town with my friend and her baby and try not to spend any money! Well, maybe on tea and cake!

MamaMaiasaura · 15/02/2012 09:37

Re title - Weaning a way off for us here, she's only just 16 weeks Wink

Night from hell last night. Had ds2 and J in relay from 2am. Ds2 coughing and Poorly and J feeding and singing Hmm On a positive note for my Dh broodiness is out the flipping window as I am so unbelievably tired. Have friends over with their dc today, another set tomoz and my dais and her 3 on Friday. I have no chance for naps usually and less chance now.
ed my ds2 likes drs scales and gets told off too. They are hardly like to break them Angry

Scheh - duvet thing. When's it's too cold to go with just blanket and she's in with me, I lay her on top of duvet as shes I'm her sleeping bag and I'm under with arms and chest out. With ds1 I had to learn to feed laying down post csection and so it's a knack I've used since. I am quite large up top so don't know if it helps. I was me who said about dressing gown too.

Bubalie · 15/02/2012 10:55

Hello all, and my I am so sorry to hear about all sleeping/waking up issues, but I'm afraid I am in the same boat. I am really reaching the end of my patience with this and am so tired :(. L is fighting sleep at the moment and I am finding daytime naps so stressful at the moment. It's just taken me hour and a half to get him to sleep and he will only nap for half an hour and this is 3 times a day! Does anyone have any tips? I really hope that this is the 4 month sleep regression (he's almost 20 weeks) otherwise if this carries on I don't know how am I going to cope :(.
He ends up in our bed most of the nights, we've always co-slept and he seems to settle better at night once in bed with me (us). He sleeps in his sleeping bag, I put him on the edge of bed (there is a cot next to it so he can't fall out so the duvet is not an issue as i just wrap the duvet around me.
Re: weight he was 16lb 3 weeks ago and we are getting weighed again on Friday as we go to see the consultant re: L reflux (hoping to come off the medication slowly now as I think it's getting a bit better :)).
Hope everyone has a nice day and you manage to steel some sleep if/when the babies are asleep!

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 11:10

Bubalie, I wrote a big long post on daytime naps in the last thread. I'm on my phone so can't link to it, but its around page 35 I think.

Scheherezade · 15/02/2012 11:12

Or I'd ask fuzzzy's mum as she seems to have the magic touch! ;)
