Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Welcome newbies. And thanks for new thread pebble.

Thank god for my iPhone. Currently stuck on sofa 'watching' crap film with a sleeping seb AND a cat on my knee Grin and the remote out of reach. Perfect time for caching up on mn.

ed are you ttc already? Missed that too, wow! As much as I love seb I think he will be an only child. I love him completely now but found it really hard in the beginning. I read the bit in the thread (although didn't have time to post!) about connecting with your lo. It took me a while but now I think he's so amazing.

engles well done at your running. Dh is doing bath half in march so out training now. Im terrible at running but certainly can't imagine doing any running at the moment.

fleecy hope your dh and ds are better soon and don't pass it on.

CheshireDing · 22/01/2012 16:19

Think I have given birth to some kind of Tazmanian Devil Feeding Monster! She never stops.

Sorry for my pathetic night time moans. Am over it now, although might pop to the shop after putting the chickens to bed to buy some cookies (might not go to the nearest one though as I am constantly in there buying Snickers/other bad foods so it?s getting a bit embarrassing now).

I really need to eat some fruit. Please someone else tell me their diet is very unhealthy at the moment.

Pebble you must have been up a few times too :(

Scheh I find it?s the second half of the night that seems to be more difficult for P to settle back down. Is C the same?

Mama do you mean you keep the dressing gown on yourself (to keep warm) and ditch the duvet?

Sorry for your broken night too Engels

Have you done it yet Edward?

Welcome Lemmings and Louise :)

Fleecy what?s an l/s cardigan? Hope your household is feeling better soon.

Really need to stop eating rubbish as need to get in practice for Manchester 10k, need to clean the house too. Babies are sooo demanding Grin

CheshireDing · 22/01/2012 16:21

God I don't know what those freak numbers are on my posting. It's not some secret code (in case anyone wonders).

FuzzzyDuck · 22/01/2012 16:48

I think I can feel a wee tooth coming through.....

Engelsmeisje · 22/01/2012 16:54

Ooooooh! Exciting fuzzzy!

Engelsmeisje · 22/01/2012 16:55

cheshire last week I ate a whole tube of Pringles one morning and then was so ashamed I hid the evidence before he got home. Blush

Fleecy · 22/01/2012 17:41

Ooh, keep us posted fuzzy - so many firsts at the moment, it's lovely!

cheshire sorry, I meant long-sleeved by l/s. I am used to using the shorthand on the style and beauty boards!

Yum engles - I love Pringles. I have however been eating more healthily and have lost 8lb this year. Yay! But that's only because I gained loads over Christmas. Still an encouraging start though.

sassy34264 · 22/01/2012 18:59

hello to the new ladies

ive just eaten v healthy. the amount however is a bit questionable! 2 pork chops and a full small cauliflower. 2 glasses of water and now dark choc. trying not to lose this milk! can barely make an ounze after rhe morning pump, where i got 4.
going to be majorly upset if i have to stop.

Jnice · 22/01/2012 19:24

Ffs DH made me tea with dairy milk in. And I drank half SadSadSadSadAngryAngryAngry

I've been off dairy for January, it takes 4 weeks for dairy to clear both of our systems and potentially see an improvement in L's reflux. Now am back to square one Sad

Last night I turned down homemade chocolate garnache cake for the dairy Sad

Oh I'm so upset I could cry.

MamaMaiasaura · 22/01/2012 19:53

Oh jnice, only popped on quick before putting phone on charge but couldn't not post. Big hug to you xx

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 22/01/2012 20:01

haha Engels not considering it but was using BFing as a contraceptive and was worrying about milk supply/bit of spotting I has last week.

Have now POAS and was negative phew! Was slightly disappointed if a wee bit relieved DH was EXTREMELY relieved.

Fleecy · 22/01/2012 20:04

Oh no jnice I'm so sorry Sad

It's such a rollercoaster, this parenting lark. I think that's one of the things I found the most difficult at first. Adjusting to all the ups and downs and how quickly they happen. When things go well, it's amazing. But when it's hard, it's so hard.

sassy i can't ever express more than 1oz and my boobs don't seem full except first thing in the morning but somehow L is growing and doing wet nappies so I guess it must be okay! I think we do better than we think sometimes. L has one bottle a day (when we go to bed) and a couple of weeks ago I also gave her a bottle a few afternoons because she was so cranky and hungry all the time and I was in tears thinking it would be the end of bf etc. But things are fine now. She still has the bottle before we go to bed but all the other feeds are me. So definitely retrievable.

Fleecy · 22/01/2012 20:05

Major cross-post there. I suppose it's for the best edward but guess you're leaning towards having a third then?

sassy34264 · 22/01/2012 20:22

OMG! i nearly posted yesterday, that i doubt eva will be rolling anytime soon, as we cant put her on the floor during the day at all cos the twins would stand all over her. so shes only been on the mat a handful of times and ive just put her on it, while im tidying and the little bugger's done it!

Go eva!!!!

golemmings · 22/01/2012 20:23

Thanks for the welcome!

jnice I'm off dairy too. It made a huge difference to DS within a couple of days. Hopefully you will start to see an improvement well before 4 weeks if dairy is implicated. I tried some goats cheese last week and DS was so sore and unhappy for the next couple of days. If you're ok with soya, alpro chocolate puddings are wonderful!
edward you're a braver woman than me! Not even considered sex yet but definitely stopping at the 2 we have. Or so DH keeps telling me!

LittlePebble · 22/01/2012 20:23

Oh Jnice Sad will half a cup make a huge difference (completely ignorant of dairy / reflux issues)?
Sassy 4oz in the morning I think is good, how much were you hoping for? Is E more settled today? Are you feeling any better about expressing and supply?
Cheshire in spite of all my posting last night I had a really good night, Eli did 7hrs in one go the longest yet Smile
Fuzzzy where is the tooth? How can you tell it's there?
Hi to lemmings and louise.
tally where are you if dh doing bath half marathon? Are you in south west?

OP posts:
LittlePebble · 22/01/2012 20:28

Sorry missed an hours posts as didn't update my phone. Go Eva indeed that's great. Envy Eli shows no signs of rolling he's only interested in trying to stand (men!) Wink

OP posts:
FuzzzyDuck · 22/01/2012 20:36

Well done little Eva!! It's so exciting watching them do all these new things Smile

LP I felt it on her bottom gum, slightly to left. Could be wrong, but I'm sure I felt it. She has been chewing on her fist constant for past week now. Putting things in her mouth to while playing, so who knows. Guess if it's coming, should see it soon!!

That's her down for the night (fingers xd) so in having quick tidy up, everything is sorted for the morning then it's shower and bed for me! Hoping to get to gym classes which start at 9.30am so will need to be out house by 9am to drop my little duckling off at my mums so it will be a mad rush. After a bad week, it's no more junk/excess sugar this week! I swear it's been the cause of my headaches and shit mood Angry

sassy34264 · 22/01/2012 20:47

eva's showed no signs either, but just did it first try. she was only 3months, 3 days ago. not sure when twins did it? but jacob walked at 9months and isobel at 10months. so, maybe eva will be as quick.

she's currently jabbing away on the mat with no signs of being tired and i am knackered. [grrr face]

ive had to givr her formula again. Sad but im hoping it will be like the twins and resolve itself soon.

PenguinArmy · 22/01/2012 20:58
TallyBear · 22/01/2012 21:03

jnice sorry but your post did make me laugh: I read 'dairy milk' and thought you meant the chocolate! I was imagining a bar of choc sticking out of your mug Grin. But I'm sure such a small amount won't make too much difference.

Well done Eva. Seb is 12+3 and no sign of rolling over. Although I've only put him on his tummy once and he cried. I meant to try again today.

fuzzzy perhaps we could have our first forum tooth! Unless anyone has one that I've missed.

PenguinArmy · 22/01/2012 21:05

BM is fine for up to 8 days in the fridge. Basically just smell it, it will be like gone off cows milk if it ain't right.

Envy at the running, still not allowed to run, probably another 6 months yet.

Ed how old is your LO now?

DS is a few times a week doing a 6 hour stretch of sleep now which is nice. I disappeared as I felt I was posting loads and just needed to distance myself. Sometimes if I'm getting down one of the signs is that I'm into something to much. So told myself I'd join again once I saw a new thread and hid the old one. Assumed random fb comments would keep me in touch.

engel I found once I got to 5k last time it was fine, the first 3 miles were the hardest.

PenguinArmy · 22/01/2012 21:06

with the rolling, DS is still not there (nearly 15 weeks he is). As DD was rolling (11 weeks) I'm assuming (hoping) he'll be a later walker (she was 8.5months)

See back 3 mins and 3 posts in already

TallyBear · 22/01/2012 21:07

Oo and LP yes we are SW: west wilts.

BB3 · 22/01/2012 21:30

Hello

Crikey, I've been gone a few hours today and we have a new thread and 50 messages on it!

I'm going to try and remember some of what I've read!

Welcome to the newbies, congrats on your babies! Looking forward to hearing all about them xx

Poas? Wow! How you feeling about it now it's sunk in? Has it made you consider more down the line? I keep saying we are closed for business in that area but I'm already starting to doubt my ability to resist in a year or so's time!

Go Eva and Jessica and all the other little rollers - my little lazy lumps aren't, Edie is half way there gets to her side then flops back, I said to Ayse today 'are you going to try' she lifted her legs up, farted and giggled at me (guess that's a no!) I'm actually ok with the laziness, ds rolled at 10 weeks, crawled at 4.5/5 months walked at 9. I'm quite happy with a slower pace with these two!

Mama - how is ds2 getting on?

Hello PA

Oh gosh, hugs for dairy consumption!I'm crossing all fingers that a small amount doesn't play too much havoc with him xxxx

Fuzzzy - trust little s to lay in!

Tally, lp - Where are you based - I'm in Wiltshire by stonehenge, mama isn't far away either I don't think!

Sorry if I've missed anything, we've had a lovely day today roasts, walks - the girls have been gorgeous, holding hands on the floor, gabbling to each other, laying with their arms crossed over each other in bed, giggling! So nice - And ds has managed to play outside for the first time since hospital and didn't get too breathless (yay). Hoping it hasn't been too much for him though...

Oh and Cheshire (think it was you), I've eaten junk all week - just consumed a pack of chocolate Christmas coins and debating cracking open the selection box...Hmm
