Marking my spot and giving up and walking the dog. Yawwwnnn!

Scheherezade · 22/01/2012 08:16

Poor you Cheshire, can you get a nap in the day?

Another bad night here as well. C woke at 1 for a feed and went straight to sleep. Then he woke at 5 and refused to go back down :( dp again insisted on taking him, bit at 7.15 I took him. He went to sleep for 40mins but is back up now for a feed, and again awake so we're up now

MamaMaiasaura · 22/01/2012 08:41

Marking spot too.

cheshire poor you. Re the only nursing on side, all my babies have done this. Have you got blankets you could use instead of duvet or dressing gown? I'm feeding j as I type and Shea ontop of duvet while I am under. Cot is pushed up to bed so I pop her in there when she's asleep but if an all nighter I ditch duvet for blanket. How you get rest today

Engelsmeisje · 22/01/2012 09:04

Morning!

Here the advice on BM is only 2 days in the fridge and (same as UK) 6 months in freezer (or 2 weeks in freezer compartment of fridge).

I don't know how those of you who are ff do night feeds. We decided to drink our wedding champagne last night so of course M didn't sleep as well as he normally did. I had to warm up bottle of ebm from the fridge while he was wailing then after feed pump and dump. Such a faff and I was totally awake by the time I finished. (and have to wash the bottles this morning).

up at 12.30 and 5 here

hope things are going better with supply sassy.

yep, was wondering about PA as well - think she's still on fb group.

caramel slices? yum!

MamaMaiasaura · 22/01/2012 09:19

Jessica is 3 minors old today Grin might go geochaching later. Ds1 got rugby match (he's Prop) so they taking him. Sunny here atm

LittlePebble · 22/01/2012 09:27

Hope PA comes back soon.
I've been getting all nostalgic in the middle of the night and rereading antenatal thread, it's so weird knowing now what we all had and seeing us discuss names etc.
Quite a few never seemed to make it to postnatal thread though like babcnesbitt and happymummytobe hope they're too busy enjoying their beautiful babies Smile.

Engelsmeisje · 22/01/2012 09:31

I did that the other day pebble. Made we want to be pregnant again!

FuzzzyDuck · 22/01/2012 09:51

Marking my spot. Back later x

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 22/01/2012 10:02

I'm starting to worry about my supply mhairi isn't feeding any more than normal but she has gone back to 2 hourly feeds during the night so I think it could be because she isn't getting enough?
Will POAS today and see if that's the cause if not think I'll need to start pumping to boost supply.

MrsHende · 22/01/2012 10:19

Wow Edward! Fingers crossed you get the answer you want!

Morning ladies! Hope thread three is a happy one for us all Smile.

golemmings · 22/01/2012 10:44

Do you take very late interlopers? I looked at the antenatal thread but couldn't cope with the volume of posts or posters. Much better at mn now (have smart phone and lots of time in the middle of the night...!)
DS was born 6 Oct and feeds fabulously and sleeps better by day than at night but Ho hum.

Scheherezade · 22/01/2012 10:56

Hi golemmings :) good to have you onboard!

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 22/01/2012 10:57

Welcome golemmings
mrsH I have no idea what answer I want haha my head tells me that a third will be super expensive as I would need a people carrier and a double buggy [sceptical] and my house really wouldn't fit another but nothing I can really do about that.
OTOH I'm a sucker for little babies.

misselouise · 22/01/2012 11:06

hello everyone, im not sure how this chat forum thing works, but i just wanted to say hi to mums who also had a baby in oct :) my little Dylan ws born on 24th oct 2011 and im loving being a mummy :) xx

MamaMaiasaura · 22/01/2012 11:08

Just saw my typo (another) meant months not minors lol.

ed -ooo exciting. I bfed through preg as it is feel different. We have a citreon Picasso which we all fit and pram. Very economic too. 3 are lovely (ponders 4 Grin)

I feel bad as so bush hoovering I ignored J moaning a bit and she's fallen asleep and my boobs ache as she's not fed since this morning. I know in silly but still... (looks at J sleeping and toddles off to sort washing/make lunch/squeeze ds2)

MamaMaiasaura · 22/01/2012 11:09

And welcome golemmings Smile smart phones are ace (oh my I'd never say ace in RL Blush)

FuzzzyDuck · 22/01/2012 11:32

Welcome to the newbies Grin. I can't believe the rate that these threads move at. Is nice to come and chat to people that are in the same situation. We stayed at my mums last night. She offered to keep her over night and let me sleep, but I didn't want to be away from her Blush so I said I'd stay too, but she could get up with her in the morning. Typically, the little bugger slept soundly and woke at 8.30am! Past few nights, she has been waking at least twice and so by yesterday, I was exhausted! One week off 4 months now so must be growing time again!

Not much planned for today. Might head into town and have a wander. One day in the house is my limit. I start going crazy and I think S needs the fresh air. Was funny though, as I came down this morning, my dad was just coming in the door with S. he took her in her buggy a walk to get the morning papers! Makes me Smile though as when I first told him I was pregnant, he never spoke to me for a month Blush. By that point, me and her dad had already split, so I think he was angry with the thought of being on my own with her. Things great now, and he dotes on her big time.

Good luck ed with the test. Hope you get the answer you are after x

MamaMaiasaura · 22/01/2012 11:52

Smile @ your dad, it's lovely seeing close family doting on your little ones. Well nap didn't last long and she's feeding away now. Ds2 and manged to have lunch before she woke tho.

emmazed · 22/01/2012 12:02

Welcome to the newbies, I have (v late) just realised how much easier to check mn on my phone than wait for a time to go on the computer. Just

Fleecy · 22/01/2012 12:03

Welcome lemmings and louise

ed our first 'next' baby maybe? How exciting. I recommend three Grin but mama, seriously, four?! I'm done now! L is just amazing but I have done enough nappies/sleepless nights/sore nips etc now and I want to get on being able to go on holiday and stuff!

cheshire sorry about the rubbish sleeping and constant feeding. I wear a l/s cardi when I feed in bed so I can have the duvet folded right back so it's only up to my waist. I have never pulled it over forgetting - I think you're just so much more aware of them being there even when you sleep. I don't really move in my sleep when L has been in with me. It's strange.

Boring weekend here - DS and DH have had a sickness bug. We were supposed to be having a party for my Granny's 87th birthday here yesterday but had to postpone for a couple of weeks. So far the DDs and I have escaped. Fingers crossed...

emmazed · 22/01/2012 12:04

The joy of phones! Just put j down to sleep (hopefully) and dh will babysit while I go to the opticians. The routine things of life bacone so much more complicated!

Engelsmeisje · 22/01/2012 14:26

Welcome louise and lemmings!

Smile at your dad Fuzzzy. My FIL can be seriously annoying (I've told you all lots of stories about him - the one who peers in windows while I'm bf-ing and pulls up our weed-killer-covered weeds to feed the goats over the road) but he does dote on M, a little too much sometimes! In complete contrast to my dad who just smiles and takes pictures. He didn't even hold M when we came back at Christmas and was really weird when we told them I was pregnant. It's not that he's negative, he's just not really positive IYSWIM. Real "stiff upper lip" type (so now DH's family think that all English people are like this Wink).

Wow fuzzzy can't believe S is nearly 4 months!

Ed POAS? I totally missed that! Didn't realise you were considering it so soon Shock Though I did say to DH this morning in a little whisper, "I want another one soon, pleeease?!"

Cheshire I can't have M in bed with me at night. It freaks me out and I end up having anxiety dreams and talking in my sleep. Hope you manage to get a nap today - hang in there.

I'm resisting a smart phone as long as I can mama as I know once I get one I'll be constantly MNing never be off it. Plus I'm too tight to get a constract phone Grin.

Just got back from a 5k run. Really windy outside. Super hard work. When will it get any easier?! Am starting from such a low level of fitness Sad Only 4 monthas til my 10k so had better get my arse in gear.

Managed to beat DH twice at scrabble in Dutch for the first time ever this week. Guess this means my baby brain is subsiding (or perhaps HE has baby brain Grin)

Jnice · 22/01/2012 14:30

Welcome lemmings and louise.

Happy 3 months to leo too Smile he celebrated last 2 nights by sleeping through. Thank you hon! Not expecting it to continue but lovely at the time.
