New thread just for you star!

Well, hopefully not just for you, or it could get a bit boring talking to yourself Grin.

Thanks myjob and pepper. I will definitely stay, then :)
I love this age, despite the polar extreme disposition from one minute to the next!

Yes, sunshine is lovely :) holiday time in just a few more short days!! Smile

HavePatience · 31/03/2012 15:05

Hooray for the holiday!

Angry for the weather.

At a yucky funfair just a little bit of a drive from home and I am in the car because it is toooooooooo cold Blush dh and ds don't seem to notice the hypothermia onset.

Nightmare trying to get petrol today. When will this nonsense be over? I never fill past half of a tank.

I have 2 nights out for dinner planned this holiday, which is Shock as my social life is so lame. Grin

I love holidays, too Grin
It has been lovely today and yesterday. The day before that was cold! And many before that lovely and warm... Forecast is colder tomorrow so hoping it is wrong!

HavePatience · 05/04/2012 22:33

I need your help with something incredibly meaningless and trivial. :)
I wanted to wear a top a few days ago out for dinner with friends and realised it needed ironing. Dh was busy with something and I couldn't interrupt it.

Once I located the iron, I had no idea how to use it properly - apparently it needs water (where?) and there are different settings... Now, it doesn't seem like a difficult task, so - is there an easy-to-use iron out there? Dh irons his work shirts and anything I need ironed (rare as I usually don't care), but I'd like to be able to do this myself n short notice if needed.

HavePatience · 07/04/2012 22:00

Right. No one wants to help me find an easy iron. Well, a great thing just happened. I Ordered 2 single creme eggs with groceries today. One for me, one for DS. They were out of single creme eggs so they gave me.... A pack of 12! For 80p! :). Made my day. Grin

pepperrabbit · 08/04/2012 20:36

Did you eat them all star? Grin
Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter.

I've had one or two per day. Yum yum yum!
Dh doesn't like them, so I feel as though I've found chocolate treasure!

Honeymoonmummy · 17/04/2012 20:15

Cream eggs are vile.

Irons without steam (from the water) are harder work and don't get the creases out so well. MY advice is to buy new clothes that don't need ironing!

Thanks, csws :).
I'm feeling really wobbly about dh at the moment. May discuss in our fb group in a few days, if I can bear it. I had a long chat with a new and nearly divorced friend, who I instinctively trust - and some thngs she said just struck a major chord with me and I just said things out loud that I've been burying for a long time. I am tearful when not busy and can't eat. :(.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/04/2012 23:25

:( star. But do try to eat please, or you will make yourself ill.

Thanks, csws. How are things looking with your dh job?

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/04/2012 14:56

He still doesn't have one. I have a second interview next week though, and if I get that job then he will prob be a SAHD for a bit (it's a 6 month contract that I'm going for).

HavePatience · 27/04/2012 19:43

Oh good luck, csws!! I hope it all goes well for you!! x

Hi all, HP sorry you're a bit down - but please keep eating (even if it just creme eggs!)
CSWS, good luck with the job hunting, when do you find out?
Building an ark here. So pissed off with the rain, get drowned everytime I do the school run (which peaks at 4 x day on a tuesday Angry).
And today it was so heavy we have water seeping through our new bloody expensive kitchen ceiling. Sob.
On the plus side, yesterday I had my annual girls day out yesterday with some friends. Was fab, long lunch, shopping then cocktails Grin.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/05/2012 09:09

Just in case any of you missed it on fb, I got the job, and am starting on 14th.
Dh then saw an agent for another job which he is perfect for the day after I accepted my offer. If he gets offered that (permanent role) at the salary he has asked for, then we will have to find another nanny to look after the kids! If he had got this one before I progressed things with mine then I wouldn't ave looked just yet (he wouldn't earn enough to cover our outgoings, which are v high in this house, but we'd have lived with drawing the balance from mortgage savings until the kids were at school full time). Typical huh?! Still, fingers crossed that he gets it anyway, as it sounds right up his street, and is only about 35-40 mins away.

OP posts:
HavePatience · 05/05/2012 09:18

Oh I hope he gets it as it's a permanent role. Living waiting or another contract mut be so stressful! Great news on your job, csws! Well done! x
