OK this is it I have started the thread in the vain hope that someone on the December antenatal thread will pop and come and join me, I have been waiting for over 3 weeks now and to be honest with you I think your all being a little selfish making me wait around on my own .

Can't believe I am the one starting this thread I'm not due till 18/12/05 yet by then George will be nearly 6 weeks old, I tell you what though I feel really really sorry for the last person to give birth from December as they will be dying to get onto this thread by then.

As sad as this may seem over the next few days (or weeks if you lot don't get popping) I'm going to post on this thread little messages so that when people start crossing over they have something to read, well that is what I intend to do anyway but whether George lets me do that is a totally different thing.
I shall deffo post my birth story on here I have waited so long to do it so expect that to appear in the next day or so.

So come on over ladies the grass really is greener on the other side.

HERES WISHING YOU MANY HAPPY NAPPIES [GRIN] [GRIN] [GRIN]

Hi all

Welcome Kay.
Had our 6 week check yesterday. Alex-Leigh now weighs 10lb and half an ounce, she is 52.5cm long and has a head circumference of 36cm! She passed her 6 week MOT with flying colours and so did i!!
She is a proper little smiler now and a pure pleasure to have, To be honest she hardly ever cries and when she does its cos ive been a slack mummy and not got her feed ready when she wants it!
She has the snuffles at the moment so am keeping a close eye on her because i really dont want her back in hospital BUT doctors have told me that she is a good weight now and will cope better with colds etc!
Spent a small fortune in H&M today on some gorgeous dresses for my princess! She really is my little dolly!!!
Am exhausted today too because i had counselling again! Sobbed like a baby and feel s**t because of it but im sure its helping in some way! Really missing my mum!!
Am off out on first big girly night out tomorrow night. Am going to a local night club to see journey south from X factor and intend to drink lots!! DH knows i will be very poorly on Sunday!!! First big blow out in approximately 40 weeks!! (went out when 5 weeks pregnant and didnt know!!)

ANYHOW...... Hope you are all well. Take care and will call on again soon.

Nemo1977 · 03/02/2006 23:30

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it I'm about to go out for a meal with dh and I think I like it yeah yeah.

I'm getting all dolled up just had a long hot bath and covered myself in body lotion, I have loads of new make up and will be wearing a totally new out fit (knickers and all) from the things I bought on my birthday.

We are dropping George off at about 6ish at Mums and the table is booked for 7.15, I may actually have a drink which is something I haven't done for well over a year and a half now.

I'M JUST SOOOOOO EXCITED CAN YOU TELL

expatinscotland · 04/02/2006 16:48

bonkerz · 04/02/2006 17:17

SNAP!!Im off out tonight with a girly friend! Have started drinking already! ( not sure how much i will need to consume to get me drunk!)
HAve a hot bath and loud music planned after i have sorted out the kids and made all the bottles so DH doesnt have to worry about as thing! Have told Dh that i plan to be ill tomorrow! How disgusting of me i know but tonight i plan to be another figure in the governments BINGE DRINKING tally!!

georgeandwigglyjake · 05/02/2006 13:43

Hi all, good to see you back DQ.
Sorry you are having a rough time Ebbie. I hope things improve with your DH as things settle down with the little one.

Hope you enjoyed your nights out Flutter & Bonkerz. Still no drinking going on here! Might have a try when we go to cornwall in a couple of weeks.

Left handed typing too hard to do (feeding on RH side) but be back soon. x

ei23 · 06/02/2006 13:38

how has everyone been?? i have been giving her a dummy to help her sleep but she only seems to want it if shes a bit windy! an then she wont sleep anyway! ah well she must just like bein wit her mummy!! im makin a rod for my own back i no but she so hard to resist!!
anywho love you all and big hugs to you and yours xxx

bonkerz · 06/02/2006 17:08

Hi all, night out was fab excpet some horrid lady made me cry! I asked her to be more careful with her elbows on dance floor cos i had a section 6 weeks before and she was hurting my tummy! She immediately said i was a bad mum cos i should be at home with my baby!!! I went mad and pointed out i had a husband who was caring for his daughter, bouncer had to hold me back! I could have lumped her one and i am not usually a violent person (this was at beginning of the night when i was still sober!!)

Alex-Leigh spent last night in her cot and slept alot better than in her basket so am going to stick with cot from now on (which is just as well as sister is due baby in 8 weeks and wants the basket!!!)

Am finding it really hard to get hold of the formula that Alex is on - she is taking cow and gate OMNEO and only onme shop stocks it in a 15 mile radius of me and that was out of stock today!

OK gotta go baby sit for a friend whilst she goes hairdressers so catch oyu all soon!

sweetheart · 06/02/2006 17:34

Hi everyone,

We've been away for the a long weekend which was lovely. Although I can't believe the amount of stuff we had to take just for 4 days away!!

Lucas is still not sleeping very well but I'm getting used to feeling tired now. He was quite unsettled this weekend and I'm not sure if it's because we were out late (for him) most nights or if it's because he was sleeping in a travel cot which is huge compaired to his moses basket.

I'm going to spend a couple of days getting him back into his routine and then I think we'll be putting him in his cot as he's getting too big for the basket. Just got to buy some baby monitors and then he'll be in his own room.

I've been and stocked up with Calpol today as he has his 1st injections on Thursday, I'm sure thats another thing that will make him unsettled at night.

I'm feeling really huge at the moment. When I first had Lucas it was a novalty to be so small but now I am feeling very very fat! The gym doesn't seem to be helping, although I've only been about 6/7 times so far so it's early days yet.

DQ - it's great to hear from you, hope you get a chance to post again soon.
George, I'm glad little Jake is letting you get a bit more sleep.

Well, guess I'd better crack on with the mountain of washing from the weekend.
Love to you all xxxx

dramaqueen72 · 06/02/2006 20:27

hey all
s/h -ugh injections. really hate the way they throw the babys out, and make them so unsettled and cranky.you just get over it and its time for the next months!!
with you exactly on the weight thing the novelty of 'omg i can see my feet' has worn off and i'm feeling fat. i know its still early days here too, but!! i'm about a half to one whole dress size bigger than pre pg right now. its not awful but its not fabulous either. i'd never have time for the gym tho but am hoping running this manic household is kinda the same thing!!!
george, hope jakes doing okay too?
and ei, nice to see you every now and then
and expat nemo bonkerz ebbie flutter etc!!! do miss the days of being pg and chatting with you all so much. talking of which, which of you ladies are doing it again?(having more babies that is!! or is it too early to ask yet i dont think i am (never say never tho...)as with four its abit like taking the waltons out shopping...........
my sisters pg now so if i get ANY broody thoughts come sept i can go see her newborn and get over it!!LOL

yellowbear · 07/02/2006 08:46

right - I am determined to post a message today (i have been saying this for the last six weeks and something always gets in the way!).

Hope everyone is doing okay and managing with their little bundles. How are you coping after the cs george? not sure who else had one, was it you bonkerz, really must get a pen and paper and write things down!

Charlie is seeing a chiropractor at the moment for his colic, it's still early days but it seems to be working, although that could be the new milk and colief. He slept from 9.30 till 6 last night, not sure if I should really leave him that long - any advice? He does seem to fill up on milk during the day though, and it was probably a one off he will be up every hour tonight!

His big brother loves him to bits and is always stroking his cheek and talking to him, which is lovely to see.

Spoke to soon - he's crying now so better go, will try and keep up and be a more regular poster.

georgeandwigglyjake · 07/02/2006 13:28

Hi all,
Y Bear I'm doing fine thanks. No problems here & my recovery seems much easier than friends who have had natural births - no pelvic floor problems, painful stitches or odd bleeding here!
DQ, I read somewhere that when you B/F you should keep a bit of weight on you. I'm sticking to that for a while and making sure I eat lots of choccy still (Yummy, creme eggs here we come!!)
Lucky you going away for a weekend SH. Did you go anywhere nice? Hope Lucas starts sleeping a bit more for you soon.

Jake was finally weighed again this morning and is coming in at a healthy 10lb 3½oz - no wonder his newborn clothes are getting a bit tight! Think we had his first smile earlier too, finally something that wasn't just wind!

Hope everyone else is OK.
Nemo, has Hannahs rash cleared up now?

scully · 07/02/2006 15:22

can't imagine life with 4 dq, 2 swwms busy enough! funny you should ask about who's having anymore, dh & i started that conversation in hospital
we are considering no.3 & if we do, it will be a smaller gap than between the dd's.... still just a thought at this stage though
we also went out for a meal on Sat - had lunch at Mirabelle - delicious meal & wonderful service, we felt very spoilt Left dd's for 4 hrs & they were fine, dd1 played with her friend & dd2 slept for most of the time! We have friends over from Australia next month so I think we leave them again for a few hrs to catch up with our friends at a pub on the one Sat they are free.
dd2 was weighed today, she is now 8lb11.5oz at 6wks, so not hefty but gaining slowly. no idea why but we seem to have small girls
sorry things are hard right noe ebbie, hang in there, the 1st few mths can be difficult, I can't remember if this is your 1st?
sorry for any typos, am typing left handed whilst feeding!
hi to everyone else, hope you're having a good week

Nemo1977 · 07/02/2006 15:33

hello all
DQ dont think DH will budge on the having more kids so think 2 is my lost
George hannahs rash has pretty much gone although it went rather horrible for a while and she still has the rash around her neck so its like it just moved bit by bit.

YB gosh of course you can leave charlie that long overnight...be thankful for small mercies in sleeping that long.

well we are just getting hannah into a routine as we have been a bit lax with bedtime due to worrying about waking adam. Last night we put them both to bed at 8.30pm which was fab and then I dream fed hannah at 11.30pm put her back down and she woke at 3 for a top up.
Also been busy today to baby massage this morning and to view a playschool for adam. He loved it and is going 2 afternoons a week from next week my little baby is growing up!!!

sweetheart · 07/02/2006 19:38

Lucas has just done his first giggle - it was soooo cute, I had to come here and boast!

ebbie22 · 07/02/2006 22:47

Thank u so much for the breast pump,it arrived this morn, but have already put it too good use,got bloody mastitus....Give me child birth anyday...
On the up side, its given dh and i a chance to talk as Jack has such a bad cough, with me and my sore boob and cold he took today off to look after the familly...First kind gesture in yrs and im so much happier for that[stilll bloody sore though]...
We are going to really try and make our marrige work, this time last year i wasnt even sure i loved him,but after the night of passion,i knew i did, which ust made it harder for me to deal with.....
Its not just dh that has to make more of an effort,or to improve and i know that....But now he has had time off from work its given us a chance to really, well what else did we have to lose???/

Sorry for going on,and thanks for the breast pump......LOVE and hugs to all xxxxx

ebbie22 · 07/02/2006 22:47

Oh sh,xxx

scully · 08/02/2006 13:23

Good to hear things are looking more positive ebbie, the odd day off for them to help out can really make a difference. They can forget that we don't get weekends or any break at all from this, and most of the time that's ok, but sometimes a rest from it or some appreciation is needed!
Sh, Madeleine is also smiling this week and gurglng away, it's so gorgeous isn't it! She's such a good girl so far, feeding every 3 or so hours, copes very well with getting in and out of car when we are out and about and with her sister wanting to give her kisses all the time
Somes days makes me think that I could manage 3 but as I am 36 this year, can't have another 3yr age gap like between dd1 and dd2.....
Dq how did you find the transition from 2 to 3 children? or anyone else on here with 3 or more?

ebbie22 · 08/02/2006 23:21

nemo,,u are not alone, remember we are all here for you xxxx
