expat poor you with grotty night :(

S is a great sleeper and settles herself no problem, she's just hungry in the night. Ah well, I shouldn't complain, hungry baby=eating baby=growing baby rather than shrinking as she was.

Have put a pic of Imy on my profile, it's from Christmas and the only one on my computer small enough for MN to accept! I tried to put up one of me and the girls from when S was newborn but it was too big- S looks so different there, her babygrow is straining at the poppers round the middle! Now she's in 3-6 for length but they are ridiculously baggy on her.

deb that's a fab photo! I was confused as to how she was popping up in the middle of the table Grin then I saw her legs buried in the flour. Bless her!

debka · 24/05/2011 14:36

after we put the mince pies in the oven i had to strip her off and give her a bath Grin

Hello!

Boo to all those naughty babies who refused to sleep nicely/got up early. R had her first night in the travel cot and slept beautifully - she only woke at 8:30! I bought a thicker mattress to go in it so I'm not a cruel mummy. Am feeling a little bit quilt because I now realise how squashed she was in the Moses basket!

We have a Sophie teether too. R loves it. I also bought some of those cold fridge teether things at the weekend for her to chomp on. At the moment she's dribbling constantly with rosy cheeks so I'm wondering what's to come. Hopefully my zombie mum Sophie will keep her quiet ;)

Oh, and had Aptamil issues again at the supermarket. Anyone else struggling to find some? Got some from
,Co-op in the end but none in Tesco again.

reastie · 24/05/2011 15:37

elle I think it might be me buying up all the aptimel in case of nuclear explosion incase they run out again - I have a larder with about 30 cartons and a big powder pack too - we only use one carton a day for one night time feed so we are well set for a while Wink

deb love the piccie - I don't think imy has quite enough flour to make mince pies Wink still waiting for the snow pose one Grin

I've now got so far as putting sophie in my basket on amazon but not sure whether to order. I know I'm going to get it sooner or later though so may as well . Just got a big jojo maman bebe 6 - 12 month bundle arrived which I got from ebay - lots of nice things to look forward to alice wearing - really must stop my ebay obsession now Wink . I think ledkr is ignoring us now since everyone seems to own or covet sophie Wink

wigglesrock · 24/05/2011 15:44

ledkr I'm starting a zombie mummy revolution Grin , hope you are getting some rest xx

Re: Sophie la Giraffe (look how posh I am) I have almost ordered one for the past five months and just couldn't get over the price but then I realized Isla Fishers' daughters had one and I am that shallow Grin

debka lovely photos, the girls look alike, don't they.

Right am off to help a 5 year old reimagine Jack and the Beanstalk with a cat in the lead role, seriously!! bloody homework - what happened to good old times tables Hmm Wink

Sorry, a few of you had a crap night, hope tonight is better.

debka Imy is so cute, love her wee surprised look in the pic!

I would have a sophie giraffe too, although it would be more for my benefit than Zoe's!

This might be a bit tmi, but i have my first period since birth and wow! They are usually quite heavy but i hvae never experienced this before, i am changing a nightime towel every 40 mins or so, i'm feeling so sick, dizzy and drained. Anyone else had this before?

ledkr what is a zombie mum?

ILovePonyo · 24/05/2011 16:09

jane I remember my first period was more like the bleeding after giving birth than a period, weird but the next time it was ok. Poor you though, hope you're taking it easy.

I have a question - what do people think about those cot bumper things you put round the edge of the cot? Think I've read there can be issues with air circulating, but if I put dd in her cot (in the day) she wiggles and can get her leg or arm stuck in the bars, then gets upset.

reastie I was doing the lady rides thing with dd after watching that video (never heard of it before) I got some smiles so thats a winner! Thanks!

Going to mark my place on new thread now, pressures on reastie after the success of this one Wink

janedoe25 · 24/05/2011 16:22

ponyo I would have used a bumper even though "they" tell you no to. I think the air circulation think is nonsense, the cot has open top, it's not like your are making it air tight with the bumper. Oh and the moses has a cover all the way round it, i don't see what the diffrence is?
