Just had a read back, sorry I missed your comments about the smear ledkr, I hope you are ok, glad that mn has made you feel a bit better.

And Jane £2500 is fantastic! Can't believe your gp though - is there even such a thing as "normal" greiving? Can you see another gp instead?

deb I have spent ages growing my hair and now want to cut it but have told myself am not allowed a restyle til I lose some weight. It's meant as an incentive. It isnt working. I remeber your lovely hair in your preg photo though, it is gorgeous. Sod dh though, do the hair for you. Cos you're worth it.

Do you see what I did there Wink ??

debka · 22/05/2011 20:41

I don't think I ever put a pg photo up 40weeks- only worked out how got round to doing something with my profile this week!

ledkr irish and elle sorry you've had smear scares, having them in the first place is horrid enough so cant imagine then having to be poked at again.
irish i absolutely adore the jedward pic, so cute! Am jel of the hair, obv, Cassia has weird baldy/tufty thing going on (like her dad).
debka def cut the hair! Honestly think spending time on ourselves ie appearance etc is so needed, I feel loads more confident if I feel groomed/presentable if that makes sense?(saying that I do spend much of the time fake tanned a startling shade of orange due to hang ups about blue-white Irish skin so maybe beauty advice from me is unwise).
wiggles you look so like your two older girls! Love the pics. Also grannyapple looking tres glam in yours!
ponyo and ledkr you are v brave to watch orphan, the ad for it is creepy as fook let alone the whole film, eek.
debka and others who were nice about my pic thank you, was absurdly pleased to read nice comments! In answer to your question I am 29 and Christy (DD1) is 11 and in secondary school, and Joe (DS) is 8, I was a naughty teenage mother.... actually having Cassia at 29 has been so different and I have found other mums etc much more friendly this time - sadly people can be very snobbish towards v young mums, understandable but not nice when at the receiving end of it! Did you find that too ledkr - I think you had your first child when young too?
Right, better get off - DP will be back in from the football soon (last Liverpool match of the season - whoooop!) and will no doubt want babying the big eejit.

debka · 22/05/2011 20:42

And yes I am Grin

Right, off to bed. Please send sleepy baby vibes my way!! Night all xxx

deb I got mine all styled & cut short a few weeks back, mainly for ease & so I could get away with washing it less. I had really thick almost shoulder length hair with a slight naturL curl in it....is so much easier to manage now!

ledkr sorry forgot to reply to ur smear scare. I know it's scary but that result is more common than u think & retesting usually proves all is well. I lost my mum to cervical cancer at 19 so am paranoid about smears too...was told by gp to book mine in at 4 months post birth so I'd better get booking mine in for when I return from the homeland. But like everyone has said, sure all will be fine.

ILovePonyo · 22/05/2011 20:50

Right I've put a crap pic of me up, but dd looks v cute in it Grin plus another pic of dd smiling the cutie. Does anyone know how I can rotate my pic? You'll have to look at it with heads tilted :)

Grannyapple · 22/05/2011 21:26

Heh heh mizk too kind. But I was on my way to a charity ball in those pics....should see me now Grin

Will try to get some new pics of Nate up tomorrow...off to get bottles ready.

ElleB1980 · 22/05/2011 21:35

Evening all

No worries about the smear stuff all. I regularly get dodgy results but fortunately haven't had to have any treatment to date. I'm sorry to hear about your mum though grannyapple and I hope your treatment has done the trick Irishqueen.

I've been nosying at all the pictures and you're all looking so well and have gorgeous babies. Am now desperate to get on real computer to upload some of my own now.

Have put R to bed in her cot. I'm going to sleep in there with her though as apparently DP needs a full nights sleep!

wigglesrock · 22/05/2011 21:38

Ponyo gorgeous pics, A is absolutely beautiful, you have lovely hair Grin I held my laptop on its side to see.

40Weeks · 22/05/2011 21:42

Oh sorry debka I could have sworn it was you who had the photo of you cradling bump in a light colored dress. All this time I have been envious of you looking gorgeous when pg and was misplaced! Now who am I to be [Envy] of???

Sorry to read about your mum grannyapple

janedoe25 · 22/05/2011 21:45

Quick question, how do i make my profile and pics only viewable to you ladies on the thread?

Gorgeous pic ponyo!

Love Maeves hair irish

40Weeks · 22/05/2011 21:48

Ooh yes ponyo gorgeous photos - I had a sneaky look after wiggles comments

40Weeks · 22/05/2011 21:53

Jane are you making them only viewable to us because of comments on that thread? I think you have to list users names, not sure. But anyway, don't change it unless you want to, not because of what others have said.

tadjennyp · 22/05/2011 22:02

Well done on the fundraising Jane! What you and dp and Zoe have achieved together is amazing.

Does he mean it in an Oprah complete makeover kind of way 40? I meant to ask you earlier but are you on the stats? I couldn't find you but my eyes were swimming through tiredness! I think you and debka should have your hair exactly how you want it. The babies are getting on for four months old now. It's about time we all did something that was specifically for us.

tadjennyp · 22/05/2011 22:11

Sorry, x-posted loads. Sorry about your Mum grannyapple, that's rough. My aunt was 39 when she died of cervical cancer leaving 3 teenagers so I've always been careful about smears too. Loads of gorgeous photos up here. Grin I think it was dreya who was looking glam in a light coloured dress.

wigglesrock · 22/05/2011 22:14

Tadjennyp You're right 40Weeks isn't on stats, Mikeys' weight and dob now 40Weeks, I get a tad antsey if the stats aren't right, think I may have some control issues Grin

Jane You go to Mumsnet mates and add everyones user names in, you also need to highlight the "make photos visible to Mumsnet mates only" box underneath the photos.

40Weeks · 22/05/2011 22:19

Ah thanks tadj!

Mikey was born 26.02.11 and weight 8lb6oz

Thanks for updating wiggles

ledkr · 22/05/2011 22:22

Thanks for all your kind words im feeling calm now.
I do find being an older Mum a different experience yes.i have more patience for a start,I do remember feeling left out by the older mums but i was 17 19 nd 21 when had the ds's so i was mostly still mixing with my mates and didnt go for the old toddler groups,You def get more respect from Drs and hv's too.
wiggles I can see you pics yes,i thought i commented cos i thought you looked a bit how id imagined which is weird.
Im not sure whether to bother with a pic cos i dont look any frigging different than my pg ones.grrrrr ill post after my 30 day shred Grin
I would defo get a new hairdo, esp as its not what dh wants
I had long dark curly hair untill xh got caught out and left.I lost about 3 stone cos was sooo stressed, then got hair dyed blonde and cut into a funky bobI felt like the bees knees and developed a keeness for toyboys Grin
I am expecting those of you who will be turning 40 to at least get chatted up by a 24 yr old in true ledkr style.

40Weeks · 22/05/2011 22:28

ledkr you probably did post, I'm afraid I'm with tadjenny my eyes are swimming in tiredness. Although think I might have to get my eyes tested, have noticed eyes being lot less "alert" lately - don't think I can blame it all on Anna!!! Also need to get to dentist while its free, had some work done early in the pregnancy, was supposed to be temporary but has held, although I'd probably forget to go and the whole lot would fall out a day after Anna turns 1 and I'd have to pay.

Ah ledkr you were a devotee of the wanker diet as my aunt calls it Grin. Am afraid if I was to be chatted up by a twenty something it would probably be ask if I went to school with his Mum!!

ledkr · 22/05/2011 23:36

elle will it not be a squeeze for you both in the cot? Grin
Orphns was a bit lame tbh,it takes alot to scare ma ledkr, night night

ledkr · 22/05/2011 23:38

Grin at the wanker diet, get ye to bed wiggles if you are tired.

reastie · 23/05/2011 07:38

morning all, I see my DOTD is still up there 4 days later Wink [proud] . I'm trying to keep up but getting Angry at how many people say even if you bf by undoing buttons at the top once baby is latched on it coverd everything - clearly they don't have boobs as big as mine Hmm

loving the photos Grin the jedward one I am Blush to admit but it did make me chuckle to myself. love the one of ponyo too - very sweet piccie. Can't remember if I commented on the others or not but enjoying having a good old nose them.

Kitchen man back in an hour to sort out kitchen so feeling a bit Confused . Also, I have a telephone assessment this afternoon re: therapy on NHS for a problem I have related to a phobia - I don't really want him to still be here as I don't want him to be disturbing me/feeling like he can listen in.

Also - anyone here ever used a diaphram or had the copper coil? These are my 2 contraceptive options and am debating which one to go for. I really want the coil but a bit scared of the heavy paimful periods they speak of and lots of Hmm comments on mn about other side effects while people are on them.

I'd seen orphan last year - it was watchable but nothing special. ledkr what horror films do you find scary then? I used to be rock hard and never get scared/flinch when watching horror but in my old age I'm now a wuss and get frightened really easily. I find the foreign horrors often more scary as they do the films in different ways - hollywood style ones are quite similar in how they try to scare people so once you've seen a few you lose the fright a bit.

janedoe25 · 23/05/2011 07:41

Morning ladies, wanker diet Grin Grin

I have added some pics of me on my profile, if you cant see them let me know, i may have spelt some names wrong! I made them private to mn mates not beacause of the thread, I am not comfortable with strangers looking at my pics.

My AF has returned 12 weeks exactly after giving birth, and one year to the day i discovered i was pregnant! One word OUCH!

Hope you all managed a good sleep.
