Hello! It's me. I thought I'd start a thread which is VERY cheeky for someone who's not been around for AGES! Grin

Grin going ok. He held it for 3 days but finally did it and said "it didn't hurt that much. Just when it was sliding out" (sorry tmi). At least it's sliding out!! I think the tear is still causing him some pain. I think I'm going to try adding aloe Vera to drinks in place of lactulose... (suggested by a friend, but not sure yet).

How are you doing, csws? Is J sleeping any better?

We've stopped Q's nap for the summer so he has a lie in Blush . He will need it again in September when he has to wake up earlier. He will still take one if offered.

I'm still trying to get to knebworth. This sale and purchase consumes my days. If they need something from me, I have to change my plans that day. Arghhhh. Selling a leasehold is a nightmare.

HavePatience · 17/07/2011 22:34

Hi pistachio! How is that gorgeous baby doing? Is she letting you sleep at all?

Afternoon all,
Glad Q is improving star, also good to see he can do without a nap. DD went through a phase as she was dropping hers where she needed a sleep maybe every 3/4 days to catch up with herself.
HMM, how are you doing now?
ronshar - you need to update us, hope things are ok with your DH
pistachio - console yourself with the fact that I have 4 days left of school then our 6 weeks starts... still can't drive, and the builders start on 1st August, knocking down the downstairs loo as one of their first jobs Hmm.
I think it's going to be a fairly grim summer!
Went to the hospital this morning for post op, they can't tell if I'm fixed yet, she did say that the damage is definitely degenerative Sad and while my symptoms should improve, I may always be "symptomatic". So basically it'll hurt for a while yet, may improve a bit, but don't get your hopes up!
So cross that I have to wear my splint again, for at least the next month Angry.

Ronshar Sad come back and tell us you're ok

HavePatience · 21/07/2011 20:47

Is a slow cooker left on while you are out (no one in the house)? Is that safe?

pepperrabbit · 21/07/2011 20:50

We leave ours on low, on a timer while we're out.
Actually, DH does, I don't really cook!

HavePatience · 21/07/2011 20:56

Can it be left on for 8 hours with no one home? I even unplug the toaster before going anywhere....

pepperrabbit · 21/07/2011 21:08

Have you ever seen the Michael MacIntyre sketch where he talks about the domestic appliances we trust? Smile No one ever turns the fridge off when they go on holiday, because they truuuust it.....
Any way, I digress. We do leave it for a whole day sometimes, but only with the timer on so if anything happened to prevent us getting back it would switch off.

HavePatience · 21/07/2011 21:37

Grin that is funny! Never thought of that! I'll have to look that up on YouTube.

I don't unplug anything else... Just the toaster. Religiously. Because I've known 2 people who had house fires due to toasters! But I'm sure other appliances do the same.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/07/2011 22:06

Our fire was caused by fridge or freezer...

I leave the slow cooker on regularly. It's about the same as a lightbulb isn't it?

HavePatience · 21/07/2011 22:11

I have no idea. That's why I asked. That settles it, then. We'll do it.
Dh finished school today. So thus ends the freedom of Star and Q. But it will be nice to have a bit of family time. Kids return at my school the last week in August and teachers have I think 2 weeks before to get ready and have loads of silly time consuming very important whole staff meetings. We are still waiting for the buyer and his solicitor to be satisfied with answers to enquiries before we can exchange.Angry taking AGES.

OneHundredPercentFucked · 22/07/2011 22:31

Hi all,

not been around for ages Blush

Not alot been going off here. DS refusing to potty train. Have tried a few times but he is just not ready!

Hope all is ok.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/07/2011 22:36

Who are(were) you 100%?

HavePatience · 22/07/2011 22:41
Confused
OneHundredPercentFucked · 22/07/2011 22:43

Inboxed you CSWS :)

Oh, and I am broody as hell!

The whole dating thing is just not happening for me.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/07/2011 22:44

We haven't potty trained yet either 100% - hoping to do it at some point over the summer hols. He's definitely less interested in doing it than dd was (she was dry day and night by this age).

OneHundredPercentFucked · 22/07/2011 22:46

So was DD. Although she has been having some accidents the last couple of weeks Confused

OneHundredPercentFucked · 22/07/2011 22:47

I see you have had ds2. Congratulations!

pepperrabbit · 22/07/2011 22:51

equally Confused

HavePatience · 22/07/2011 22:59

Thanks csws Smile
Hi 100%
Q was all PT but the poo troubles have made for some poo accidents. Fortunately it's always solid and not messy so easily and swiftly dealt with.

Q vomited this morning. Sorry TMI but it was clear with clumps of what looked like curdled milk (????) he hasn't had much cow's milk at all and definitely no bad/off/sour milk or yogurt... He has been off and on telling me he's unwell over past few days. He slept late this morning and then cuddled up for a while until finally vomiting on dh. It was A LOT and all what I described. Afterward, he seemed to feel much better. Still quite tired today but not like it had been. Anyone experienced what I described or know what it is?
