Hello! It's me. I thought I'd start a thread which is VERY cheeky for someone who's not been around for AGES! Grin

OP posts:

I've followed suggestions here for UTI and he does normal wees.... So isn't consistent with UTI symptoms but he does wake a lot in the night and, through sleep, says "my willy hurts! It hurts!"

Actually he doesn't pronounce /h/ so "it 'urts!"

HavePatience · 11/07/2011 21:18

HMM - have you tried waking up early, like a half hour to hour before DS and expressing then? I got the most milk then. It empties you but then when DS latches on, you produce more milk.

Thanks Pistachio, it's good to know I'm not alone and that it will improve! Smile I'm so glad you appear to be PND-free this time x

pepperrabbit · 12/07/2011 17:05

Hope you're ok today HMM.
As an aside we were in Tesco today, DD had a nappy disaster and soaked through her vest and skirt (just don't start me on the whole nappy thing...) so I bought her a new outfit in the sale to get her home. Went for an optimistic 18/24m size and they are literally falling down - its a leggings skirt combo. She is ridiculously small! If her clothes don't stay up with a nappy, if I ever potty train her I'll have to dig out her 12m stuff Hmm

I just weighed her - 24lbs 6oz. That sounds ok doesn't it?

HavePatience · 12/07/2011 20:15

That's good news, pepper. Save loads on clothing Grin
Q wears 2 year old clothing. He can wear a few pair of shorts that are 12-18 months Hmm but they must all be mismarked.
No clue how heavy he is (we have no scale) but he's heavy!

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/07/2011 21:15

Um - J weighs a few pounds more than that pepper!

What did the GP say star?

HMM - having a new baby is exhausting, so don't think that it means that you're doing anything wrong. Do think long and hard before introducing mixed feeding. It might not make bedtimes any easier, could impact your supply and signal a premature end to bf altogether, and won't help to teach P who is the boss! But as long as you've considered all those things, then do what you think is best.

HavePatience · 12/07/2011 21:59

Csws he said that Q should be seen "urgently" in case there is a tear or something Sad but then asked if an appt on Thursday morning. So, we will go on Thurs. A lot of tears and anxiety before his poo this evening but it wasn't a bad one... Easier than usual.
Dr said they may advise lactulose. Any thoughts on that? He asked if I had any in our house (??Hmm ).

KSal · 13/07/2011 11:47

Pepper she sounds the same as Emma, trousers are a bit of a nightmare generally because if they fit round the waist they are too short. wearing no nappy has really highlighted what a skinny waist she has. (she's not built like me!!)

I think I am going to get her wearing more dresses, but the ones that are long enough are really wide around her chest... at least they don't fall down though!

Star - amazing what passes for "urgently" in the world of GP... my personal opinion on using lactulose is that i would give it a go as he's in so much pain. But that comes from someone who hasn't used lactulose (I should have done, but that is down to post natal fog more than anything else)

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/07/2011 12:31

Lots of people do have lactulose in star, so it wasn't such a weird question. I used it when preg with dd and then had the bottle in the fridge for years afterwards (think I've finally thrown it). I'd have no qualms about giving it to him.

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/07/2011 12:32

KSal - dresses with leggings underneath, then the length doesn't matter so much.

HavePatience · 13/07/2011 19:59

Thanks ksal and csws, I just haven't used it before and didn't know how common it is to have it in stock at home.
I agree about "urgently"... Unpredictable GP's!
I won't make it to knebworth until next week now, csws. Maybe Tuesday?

ronshar · 13/07/2011 22:44

Quick wave. I survived the holiday but I think that my marriage was the casualty.

I will read up and try and post tomorrow.
Hope every one is well and in one piece.

Did anyone win the euro millions yesterday? We didntSad

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/07/2011 23:08

Can't do tues star - it's my main toddler group's summer party.

Can't do wedns or fri either, and can only do thurs if it's dry on wedns!

Ronshar - I'm not sure what to make of your first comment. Is it a 'times are tough' remark or a 'we're splitting up' remark?

HavePatience · 14/07/2011 08:02

Sad Ronshar.
I hope you had at least some relax and fun on your holiday! X

HavePatience · 14/07/2011 21:06

Dr gave us lactulose. He's still holding a poo now (sleeping!) so not sure if it works. Do I refrigerate it? Confused

He has some strange spots today on his belly, back and bottom. Two Gps looked at them and were stumped! Lovely.

He has a small tear on his bottom (well, anus.... I don't like that word!) Sad

But he's well and happy. And has started telling me (matter of factly at that!) "no" to my commands/requests Shock Hmm
I'm hoping it's short lived as it has already slowed when he realised that it results in circumstances unfavourable to him Grin

HavePatience · 14/07/2011 21:35

The lactulose. Do I refrigerate the lactulose. I just reread my post and it doesn't read correctly.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/07/2011 22:20

yes fridge.

Purpleprickles · 16/07/2011 23:00

Hello all. One week of term left and then I'm done Smile. This weekend is a total wash out. Today was supposed to be my school Inflatable Day which I'd organised as Chair of the PTA but got postponed due to rain and tomorrow is J's nursery fête at which Dh is supposed to be doing the BBQ but the weather forecast is bad for that too. My parents are here though for my Dad's 60th so we are having a fun but wet weekend.

HMM I hope things have improved since your last post.

Star I'm glad you have some answers and potential solutions to Q's poo issues. Shortly after J was born I discovered I had a tear too and it was bloody painful but fixed quickly with cream from the GP. I can totally understand his not wanting to 'go' because of it. Apologies for tmi and to any of you eating whilst reading Blush

J has started talking like a baby over the last two weeks, I'm sure it's a phase but it's really annoying, I ask him something and get random sounds, gaga etc in response.

Oh and Ronshar I hope things aren't too bad and it's a case of Dh being annoying and not more serious. If it helps marriage stumbles from ok to crisis and back regularly. Dh has been a grumpy sod all day and has really annoyed/upset me. He is currently snoring (am typing on phone in bed) so I'm fighting the urge not to kick him or smother him with a pillow Angry

HavePatience · 16/07/2011 23:09

Thanks PPSmile
Q does the baby noises, too, followed by "I am a baby now!" if I remind him that babies can't do /have xyz then he changes his tune (ex: Q"gaga I am a baby! Dadada" me: "oh no, that's a shame, because babies can't have cookies".... Q "ok I am a big boy now") Grin

HavePatience · 17/07/2011 20:49

Helloooooo......

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/07/2011 22:15

Hello! How's the lactulose going?
