why's that bib?

BibiBelle · 22/01/2011 14:25

because I'm a neurotic loon and had to fix them all the time and they kept falling off/moving/being used as stepping stones for mucky children (little sods)

ah ha, but i omitted to tell you the most important point about the new sofa... it will only be for me and clean guests to sit on. mucky children etc will be still using our leather one [dream world emoticon] Grin

BibiBelle · 22/01/2011 16:07

DDs 1&2 out for walk with Dh and D snoozing. I'm half packed to go but can't be arsed finishing so thought I would write my letter of resignation. So, who knows how to resign as a company director then?!?!?!

Hello all, back from whirlwind flat-hunting trip but am very pleased to say we found somewhere nice :) So that's a weight off our collective minds. Feeling the early rising pain though; DS slept in the car while driving down last night, then woke up for a bit, then slept for a bit, then woke up for a bit and wouldn't go to sleep again till gone 11pm. Then was jumping on my head at 6am Hmm Early bed for mummy him tonight.

loti glad you didn't take my bluntness to heart. Having watched someone's good health be slowly stolen from them, I get fractious when I see people taking risks with theirs for no reason. Look in the mirror every morning and repeat 'I am worthy of time to myself'.

fjorg I read that thread too and am proud to state that I have a luxuriant 70s-style bush Grin and no grey hairs (sorry).

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 22/01/2011 17:17

Bibi forgot to say, I think martial arts for L is a great idea. They're great fun, energetic, interesting and give you carte blanche to shout REALLY LOUD. Find the right class and I bet she'd be in heaven.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 22/01/2011 17:25

I don't have any grey in my ladygarden either, perish the thought Shock and in about an hour I won't have any on my head either

Glad you've found somewhere to live. Do you think it'll be a permanent place or just somewhere OK to give you breathing space to look around when you get down there?

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 22/01/2011 17:30

Well, it's only a rental and we do cherish the idea of actually buying someday. But it's nice enough that we can see ourselves staying for longer than the minimum term, which is more than we thought we'd find at such short notice.

Really like the area too :) Just sad to be leaving lovely friends behind!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 22/01/2011 17:33

When are you off for good?

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 22/01/2011 17:43

I'll notify you all on the other place Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 22/01/2011 17:44

ooh, when do you arrive? we'll have to arrange a welcoming meetup party Smile

fjorgyn i promise we'll look after her

Evening :)

SilkStalkings · 22/01/2011 19:10

Hello, just managed to wangle 5mins on the laptop after the big 2 have been on it ALL DAY!Angry
Had lovely night out with DH and some acquaintances at local last night, canx'd swimming lessons due to alcohol levels! Was supposed to be me & DD's day out together but she got herself in a panic and refused to go. So then my attempt at a trolley round town on my own was assailed by self-doubt and guilt. All I wanted was a cup of decent coffee but I just couldn't seem to let myself make it happen for some reason, every cafe I went into felt massively lonely. Found a gorgeous black felt cloche hat for £16 that really suited me but couldn't bring myself to buy it. Feeling shitey about DD and just realising how much it affects the whole family. Making GP appt Monday. Then I got a migraine, had a nap which stopped the migraine luckily and DH brought KFC, hurrah. Oh and I look fabGrin as had a free make over at Benefit but even that didn't cheer me up either.

CrispyTheCrisp · 22/01/2011 19:13

I shall continue as thread tart and gatecrash any meet Blush

SilkStalkings · 22/01/2011 20:46

Heheh just watched Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on Replay, that's cheered me up no endGrin.

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 23/01/2011 08:16

Urgh, in need of reassurance today. I am feeling so anxious about this baby as the scan gets closer, worrying whether it's alright, and last night I woke up with really painful shooting/griping pain across my stomach. Having a wee seemed to relieve it but obviously I spent all night scared that something was wrong.

The thing is, ever since I got pregnant I have had the most horrendous constipation so it's probably just to do with that, and we didn't exactly eat well yesterday due to all the driving around (think dirty service station burger). Also my anxiety is up anyway because of all the moving-related stress and due to my having counselling.

Don't know what I'm asking really. Thursday feels like an aeon away.

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 23/01/2011 08:28

Oh Star - we all know that horrid wait so well. I am sure things will be perfectly fine on Thursday, if you weren't worried you wouldn't be a perfectly normal pregnant woman. And also Shock that you are 12 weeks already - how did that happen? Have you fried Fybogel for the constipation? I had the most horrendous constipation with DD2 the pain would double me over whenever it spasmed. I daily fybogel worked wonders - I got it on prescription from the MW or GP (can't remember which). You have alot on your plate ATM and worrying about the baby is probably the easiest thing to focus on atm.

HEllooo to everyone else. We are back from the most amazing holiday, the DD's have grown and become even more amazing and DD1 has decided DD2 is fantastic. DH and I have come back feeling stronger and us and parents and finally DH has realised that I don't spend my days sitting around drinking coffee! He was a little Shock at what goes on and how full on the girls are, he has promised to be a little less whingy when things are not done in the house when he gets home. DD1 woke up this morning and went into a flat panic when I said yes it was morning and she could get up but it was still dark (7am) she sobbed for the sun to wake up and make her warm again ( her refusal to wear clothes does not help the needing to be warm thing!). Then she asked to go for a swim and to the playframe - unfortunately we have neither here!

DD2 needs a nap but I will be back later.

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 23/01/2011 11:35

Forgot to ask - is the new house big enough for twins too? Wink Grin

RedLentil · 23/01/2011 11:52

BBBB - cheeky Grin. Lovely to have you back, and it's so nice to hear that you're all in top form. Wonderful.

Star - Sorry to hear you're feeling anxious. I was a wreck before DD1's scan because, with the second baby, it was so much easier to imagine the pregnancy ending in a real baby. Does that make sense? With ds, the whole thing was a bit unreal and so the scan didn't seem to have the same impact on me.

You've got a lot going on. When is the move going to happen? I hate those in-between, neither one place nor the other, times.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 23/01/2011 12:10

Welcome back bbbb sounds like you had a fab time. I'm sure the cold weather will have DD1 appreciating the value of clothes very soon Grin

star no wonder you are feeling anxious, you have soooo much going on. I'm sure it will be fine on Thursday, and agree with red, the second one is worse than the first because you realise more what is at stake. Just think how light you will feel after your scan is OK, you've packed in work and are moved into your new home. And never mind room for twins, is there room for visitors??????

silky hope you are feeling better today, and good luck with the GP tomorrow.

We are going to try again to have a lovley walk round a local nature reserve. At least it doesn't look like rain today...

HippyHippopotamus · 23/01/2011 13:29

hi all
we're the house of lurgy, both dcs are poorly :(

star I was thinking exactly the same as you this time last year. no wise words but thinking of you

fjorygn don't forget your umbrella after that comment Grin

bbbbbb sounds amazing Smile

hiya red

silks, please go back and buy the hat. how's dd today?

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 23/01/2011 15:37

Thanks everyone, particularly boybait as your message really calmed me down. Also thanks for advice re. Fybogel - I have Lactulose but it makes me boak, as do prunes, so maybe I'll try your suggestion.

Holiday sounds amazing!

We're moving in two weeks' time Shock I shan't speculate about twins, but while there's not much room in the flat, there's lots of green space nearby for summertime frolics.
