Still ploughing on here...

hippy sigh, that woman has my dream body Grin

silks praying for your friend and that her battle starts to sway in her favour. I watched a cracking documentary the other night called Sectioned, about 3 men from NOttingham who had been sectioned for various reasons, it was really enlightening.

crispy how often do you run?

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/01/2011 13:14

merlion, i think you just have to tell her. Let her know you would LOVE to see her after baby is born but you are a bit worried about coping with 2 after DH goes back to work. My Mum didn't come until after DH went back to work and stayed for a few days. I am quite forthright about getting what i want though Blush

cece when work is slow, i run twice/three times a week. When i am busy, none or once Sad. I have run about 22k this week

Silks lovely that you can support your friend and hope she can avoid hozzie Smile

Right, off to see a cat called Butterc up Smile

HippyHippopotamus · 20/01/2011 13:55

surely being forthright is allowed when you're pregnant, no?

SilkStalkings · 20/01/2011 14:23

Merlion Just explain that you'll be taking it slowly as a family of 4 to begin with. Once DH has had his fill of sleeplessness and mustard nappies and is desperate to return to work, is when she will be most needed.

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/01/2011 22:03

Anyone there??? Confused

Had a slightly surreal moment earlier - I asked DD1 if she wanted a to play a game. She said yes and instructed me that we were going to have an egg and spoon race. All fairly normal.
That was until I ended up with a plastic strawberry and spoon (due to the spare rubber egg having gone AWOL) and then running a race which to win, you had to cross the feather boa line first Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 20/01/2011 22:14

Sounds like fun crispy Grin

Should have been in bed half an hour ago due to alarm set for 5.50am Shock but sorting out my ipod and some books for my trip daaahn saafh tomoz. Will wave in the general direction of you Londoners while I'm there Smile

HippyHippopotamus · 20/01/2011 22:34

saltasaltasanta · 21/01/2011 10:21

No Bibi I don't think that they will have to pay it back - there was a similar thing a while ago where they had put 20s instead of 10s into the machine and I am sure that the people who got money out could keep it. Let me see if I can find the story

saltasaltasanta · 21/01/2011 10:23

here for example

BibiBelle · 21/01/2011 10:52

I couldn't believe them, queued right round the block and jumping and cheering like they'd won an award for getting double their benefits out Blush am not proud of my judgey pants but this lot really are the scum of the earth Hmm

going to friend's house for lunch today so fingers crossed girls behave Hmm D currently gyrating dancing round the front room as this is her favourite thing in the world just now bless her Smile

off for 7 days now and going to the trade fair in Glasgow on Sat - credit card being left well and truely behind though! Taxx credits have over paid me by £1700 apparently. Well they haven't but because they told me that our childcare costs weren't taken into account we used A who isn't registered and now they're refusing to take into account our childcare payments -feckers. On the plus side, work have underpaid me by £1300 so I've only £400 to find Hmm and my reduction in hours (if approved) should leave me with the same wage I've been getting. Silver lining and all that

Hi all, Bibi ducks great to see you! We had similar cash machine thing here a few weeks ago, similar loony behaviour and no they didn't get to keep the money, surprise, surprise! Though have not read salta's link yet.

LOL at race, sounds like an excellent one! I think if there were more feather boas involved I'd be generally more interested in athletics.

I saw riven's dd on the front of the Guardian yesterday (or was day before?) - let's hope something comes through for her, and others in similar circs. Agree re. DC!

Great theatre trip last night, saw B rian D enne hy in The Field, plus nice dins with lovely friend, freezing blardy cold today and still fluey so trying to think of something to do that's low key for me and stimulating etc blah blah for ds2. think will just meet a mate for a coffee (cop out).

Are gradually breaking news all round re getting spliced, to lovely reactions and a lot of (fondly meant) (I think) "so you are finally getting round to it, are you" ha merry ha etc. I love people sometimes. They are so NICE! Grin

Yours, Bridie.

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/01/2011 11:07

The cashpoint thing happened to me once years ago in a Cost cutter supermarket. Gave me £40 instead of £20 IIRC. I did keep it, but didn't attempt to get any more out as that was somehow not right in my mind. Pocketing the extra £20 was ok though ConfusedGrin

Arse re the tax credits bibi, makes it all so bloody (uneccessarily) stressful Sad. Hope you get your hours agreed BTW - have they said any more about your business empire getting in the way?

Hope Fjorn is having a lovely time in London town

Off to a garden centre with a free soft play area this avo with some NC T friends. I need some gin mental preparation

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/01/2011 11:10

Hey Bridezilla ursula. You might pick up some hints and tips here Grin

BibiBelle · 21/01/2011 11:17

They told me last night that they were blown away by this latest Additional Work Application - they bloody well should have been, Red wrote it Grin the tax credits is a complete arse though and was getting really rather annoyed on the phone as it was them that told me in the first place that our child care costs weren't taken into account HmmAngry

Bridie - have already sent you the FABBEST wedding link on FB Smile am so thrilled for you all

got to go as heading out to lunch, am in my jammies and D stinking Hmm

Hi Bibi :) Enjoy your trade fair, albeit without spendage.

Ursula for some fun wedding pron, have a look at Offbeat Bride. I spent much time hanging out there while planning my own do, and although it does end up feeling as self-indulgently OTT as mainstream wedding forums after a while, there are lots of truly amazing ideas, photos and dresses Grin

luckoftheirish · 21/01/2011 13:03

hey everyone,

Good to see you bibi Smile..

Great news on spreading the word urs Grin..

Enjoy your softplay crispSmile..

well i truly have had the morning from hell..

went to ticketyboo where dd2 was a pita, food shopping nightmare and dentist where i have a massive infection on my wisdom tooth.. may explain a bit why i have been feeling so bad too according to the dentist Hmm..

one of friends at tickety told me i looked shattered Hmm

dd1 having friend around tom {first time for this friend} and the mother asked if she could leave her with me???Hmm

and cleaner turned up whilst i was out and {i left the house at 9.25 got back just after 12} and she wasn't finished..said she got to mine at 9.30Hmm..now i have been cleaning,my house thoroughly every day so def wasn't dirty/messy and the one job i struggle to do {mopping of floors, which i asked her always to do when we are out} she hadn't done...

Any breathe... feel better for typing that out, please ignore it as it is pure drivl!!Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 21/01/2011 14:29

i love DS but i want just 5 mins without a continual 'mummy mummy mummy' ARGGGGHHHHH

luckoftheirish · 21/01/2011 14:36

Right back atacha Hip, [hugs]...

Amazing how it is to be able to afford to be a sahm with no break at all tis trying...

Big mug of tea methinks!

HippyHippopotamus · 21/01/2011 15:05

i've packed him off lovingly tucked him into bed for half an hour! all is quiet up there so i suspect he's asleep. i just know i'm going to regret a late nap tonight but that's later and right now, its quiet..listen...oh yess.... that'll be two sleeping children you can hear Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 21/01/2011 15:07

loti completely agree with you on the no break thing. and dh is off tomorrow morning at 6am for a day out but hey, i'll get a break on sunday..i hope!
what've you got planned for the weekend? hmm, i reckon a mug of tea would be a good plan!

SilkStalkings · 21/01/2011 15:15

Loti I know this wasn't your point but... STOP "cleaning your house thoroughly every day"!!! Nobody's going to die from it being a little under par but you could be making yourself v ill indeed or your faints might start lasting longer. How are they anyway?

Proud Mummy Moment: Took all 3 kids to the dentist this avo (Inset day) and grade As all round. DS1 actually opened his mouth for the first time (last went 2yrs ago) and DS2 was v obliging about his teeth being examined and so chuffed to be given a Scoobydoo sticker .

Ended up going to my folks' this am and managed to wangle lunch out for us all at a carvery on my dad, woohoo!

luckoftheirish · 21/01/2011 15:17

Weekend a bit of a mare with dancing and play date sat whilst dh plays golf and cooking for the in laws on Sunday!!

One day one day I will get 5 mins to myself! I plumbed for coffee as need a huge caffeine hit! Enjoy your 5 mins of rest Smile
