enya that's so nice to hear :)

Fjorgyn am snorting at the thought of you dressing down a dishy colleague. And a little Envy at the fact that you have a dishy colleague. No window dressing in my office, unless you like straggly beards Hmm

Crisp and everyone actually, take care on the ice! It's snowing light but steady here again and the pavements are like skating rinks. Needless to say, the council haven't gritted anywhere Hmm I did an accidental street dance move this morning on the way to work.

DS seems okay after his fall, just black and blue around the forehead. He was full of the joys of life this morning, right up until the point where I dropped him off at nursery, when he went into hysterics.

This is something I meant to mention earlier in my behaviour queries: is anyone else's toddler going through a massively clingy stage? DS has always been fairly independent and happy to go to nursery, sleep in his own bed etc. Lately though he is super-clingy and cuddly; the latter is great but the former makes going to work even more of a PITA than usual as I arrive with his wails still ringing in my ears. And he insists on falling asleep in our bed. DH tries to move him most nights but he's slept in with us pretty much the whole last week.

I don't mind it really, lovely snuggles etc, but would quite like to have sex with DH before the end of the year.

Hi! Should so not be on here but FJ's train postings made me want to. HELLO!!

Star so sorry about the StarStyleBUMP. Hugs to him. Smile

Silks I am with you on the eco warrior thing THUS my purposeful cards. It's basically just a family picture...easily framed by the elder members of the family.Wink

BBBB I missed talk of the TurDuckIn. Never had one but have heard they are very good.

Crisp I can't believe you aren't showing the DCs the pick of DD2 stuck! LOL!! I tell you her vocabulary is AMAZING. Her shouts for HELP were clear as a bell. HELP MOMMY MOMMY COME QUICK I'M STUCK HELP QUICK MOMMY MOMMY... it was actually quite comical.

Hopefully in this mad rush today I will get the SS sorted.Wink

Over and Out!

Am home, hurrah! Gotta love an early finish for snow, especially as I don't have a work mobile or laptop so can't do any work Grin

It's still snowing. Might even build a snowman this aft if I can get DD to grow a pair.

Star K also v clingy/cuddly in last few weeks, I thought it was to do with his ego finally arriving after 2yrs of being the family bowling ball, lugged about and ignored. It's like he's decided I'm not just the bringer of snacks and general carrier-about, I'm actually reeeeeeeally important. He holds my shoulders really firmly and has to have our heads touching when we cuddle and kicks off big time if he catches me sneaking out somewhere. Much kissing on the lips with deadly serious face too. TBH I'm kind of loving it, have been waiting about 6yrs for another clingy toddler. DS1 is v cuddly now but at this age he didn't see the point of humans (what with him being from Krypton and allGrin).

Thanks for your good ice thoughts star - we made it out and back in one piece with only a little sliding out from our drive to the road and then back in again. I have swept the patio and path and the end of the drive and have asked told DH to go and get some grit later

Went swimming with the girls this morning and DD2 managed to bang her head again, this time on the changing room bench Hmm. Another bruise above her other eye this time .

fjorn glad they let you home and well done for actually getting in - i hope your efforts were appreciated

No clinginess from DD2 here, maybe more a boy thing? TS DD2 shouts 'i'm stuck' all the time - this morning it was from DD1's window sill and often she can be found hanging off the basin with legs dangling HmmGrin

bibi hope you manage to get to work ok, have sorted childcare and had your boiler fixed!

silks i have not warned you about PIL's flashing light gate entry system to their house. Please try not to PYSL Grin

Star - yes we havethe super clingy too - I can't even go to the loo with out screaming tears and 'where are yoooooooou? even if she know where I am. She sits on me in my skin, the more of her on me the better. She was fine at nursery until Monday when we had tears for the first time in ages.

Am having a grrr with the tenants who have just moved out of my house - they have wrecked walls and left a lovely thick layer of grease all over the bottom of the house. I am trying to get some of their deposit withheld but they are disputing it, fortunately we have pictues of all the rooms and walls before they moved out.

Yay family day off! DS's school is closed but bizarrely the juniors which is right next door is open. However snow outside is too deep to push a pushchair through (and nobody needs to know that DH is stuck home today too rendering pushchair non-essentialGrin.)
So impressed with Abel&Cole veg box being on my doorstep by 7.30 though. With free bottle of wine too because I hadn't ordered from them in months (good trick thatShock.)

Silk you have officially won the day :)

Just checking in with my Christmas nickname. Very reassuring to hear that other Aug08 smallies are going through the clingy phase. DS did manage to spend all night in his own bed last night though, thanks to the iron will of Daddy. I'm doing bedtime tonight and am much more of a pushover...must resist the sadface.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 02/12/2010 11:09

Hurrah for your snow day silky, I am stuck back at work today as our predicted evening blizzard never materialised Sad so DH is stuck at home with two hyper DC who only like playing in the snow for 5 minutes before it gets too cold Hmm. In the five minutes we spent outside yesterday afternoon I still managed to lose my digital camera in the snow when it fell out of my pocket Shock I raked the snow for ages trying to fid it, to no avail, so hoping that it's frost as well as waterproof and will turn up if the snow ever melts...

Yay for DS sleeping in his own bed star, and like your new name Smile. am thinking of mine but it's not time to put it on yet in denial about fast approach of festive season

Silky, you are really sporting the ACE attitude.Grin Enjoy you awesome day!

Star, R slept in her own bed last night for the first time in a week. She actually fell asleep on the couch in the living room where we were both nose-to-screen on our laptops ignoring her. DH carried her to her bed only after she was good and out.Wink I haven't the will to fight the sad face either.Smile

FJ, I feel for your DH's sanity. I am already dreading the first snow day when there's TWO kids bouncing off the walls wanting to play but not wanting to play long in the snow. Sorry about the camera. It will turn up.Wink

Look hungover. Worked very late on notes and feel queasy having send them to all the people in the project group. I keep asking myself, "have I really been put in the project manager seat?"...maybe I misunderstood??? Confused Blush

See, the key to snow days is to live on the same block as your kids' friends. DH walked DD to her pal's house at 10am, not seen her since. Even if a friend comes to play at your house it's fine, they're too busy to get in your way. We did the 5mins of snow play first thing so now they're all been-there-done-that.
