morning [yawn]

rough night here with dd1 being awake randomly for hours, with both me and dh going into her/talking to her and trying to sleep with her to no avail so she ended up in our bed... mucho kicking/sighing and eventually snoring in tandum with dh Hmm.. dd2 woke at 6!!!

TS, priobiotics being administed on a daily bases after the first lot of antibs gave her a horrible tummy Grin.. dd2 on them too.. not sure about school today as i know she will be exhausted and was still warm last i checked but there is a smattering of snow on the ground so she may insist on going in Grin..

my manic one is exactly the same bbbb/star/pertypru/cece.. in fact mil said at the weekend that dh behaved exactly the same way.. she hates the word no or if she is not allowed do something, throws the most horrible tantrums and howls Hmm.. i must confess to being a shouty mum too Blush

cece so sorry you have been feeling so rough, finger crossed for your dh today..

fjor really hope your headache has passed and exciting news re your house..

crispy.. we were in a similar dilema last year with dd1's school.. we ended up going with the second school as the moment we went we just knew it was right iykwim!

hope everyone has a good day and not too much snow/tantrums/headaches or any other lurgies Grin

CaptainCaveman · 30/11/2010 08:01

snow on the ground and loads more in the sky Grin. So far nursery and school is open. dh is just about to set off to Birmingham for his meeting, seeing his union rep for an hour first. He must be feeling bloody awful. I feel nervous enough and its not even me! Happy to report I am much much better though, just a cold now and a cough thats on the retreat.

Sorry your night was disturbed enya, praying dd is better soon and the ear infections clear up without the need for all the antibs.

bb I dreamt last night that I came home to find your dh at my house talking to my dh and he was asking us to come to yours for the weekend - did you know your dh was making these plans? Grin

Morning everyone! Grin. Happy snow day!

HippyHippopotamus · 30/11/2010 08:28

just popped on to say.... cc thinking of your dh today and sending lots of positive, truth revealing vibes his way

oh, and that the fecking snow has finally found us. P has got jabs today so we have to go out. hey ho

HippyHippopotamus · 30/11/2010 08:28

oh and i apologise, what i also meant to say was good morning all

UrsulaUndress · 30/11/2010 09:24

Hi everyone - CC good luck to your husband today, what a nightmare. I am sure he will emerge vindicated. Fingers crossed.

blueberryboybait · 30/11/2010 09:40

CC - just popping to to say your DH is in our thoughts today x

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 30/11/2010 10:14

CC glad to hear you're feeling better. I will be sending many positive thoughts to your DH today and hoping that the truth will out.

Fyorg I did also wonder about your sick headache. Whatever the reason for it, hope it's buggered off now and you're enjoying some p&q in the warm.

Pert and everyone, thanks for the reassurance about behaviour Grin I guess we are just in that stage!

We had a funny episode last night. DS is refusing to sleep in his own bed at the moment so we are co-sleeping by proxy as neither DH nor I can be bothered to battle him over it (yet). Anyway, he was fast asleep in our bed when I went up, but a bit restless. When DH tried to move him back into his own bed DS woke up and started crying. DH says 'oh look, he's got a really wet bum', which he did - it was soaking and so was the mattress where he had been asleep. Cue lots of wondering how that happened, until I took his wet pjs off to discover...no nappy Grin DH had forgotten to put one on after DS's bath!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 30/11/2010 10:41

Definitely not pregnant, unless it's an immaculate conception. Need to remember how babies are made if I really want another one...

Poo smells coming from DS, better investigate [bleurgh]

enyahadenough · 30/11/2010 14:54

just checking in to see if there is any news from cece...

dd2 has wrecked my comp taking most of the keys out so am relying on memory Grin

its just started snowing again just in time for school run Hmm.. dd1 insisted on going in as there was snow HmmGrin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 30/11/2010 15:46

Urk. DS just fell down the stairs :( He bounced all the way to the bottom and is now sporting two fine purple bruise horns. I screamed.

blueberryboybait · 30/11/2010 16:19

Oh Star - you really are having a time of it! In the absence of Bibi - ARNICA!

OnceandFutureQueen · 30/11/2010 18:07

Hey everyone

CC keeping everything crossed for your DH. Hope all goes ok Sad

star another YES to the behaviour thing here as well. A big one is to say NO in most definite terms to absolutely everything. The way he does it makes me laugh though Blush Also runs away when I need to get him dressed to go out/go to bed. Lots of random tantrums which I think come from frustration at being unable to communicate properly.

We finally have snow here. Worried as it's been really heavy today so hoping DP doesn't get stranded in London.

Got prescribed iron tablets as well after last blood tests :-S

Oh and Urs I'll come in on the Secret Santa. it will be homemade though

OnceandFutureQueen · 30/11/2010 18:08

Um, if I'm not too late that is!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 30/11/2010 18:22

Queen that sounds a lot like J's behaviour too. I am also unable to keep a straight face Blush So frustrating!

In addition to his bruise horns, DS now has a cut lip from falling over during an energetic chase sequence with his friends Hmm What will complete the hat trick, do we think?

CaptainCaveman · 30/11/2010 18:58

Phew, at last I might have scored 5 mins of freedom from the ds's....

Dh's meeting went well today, the union rep was great and it was dh's manager hearing the case. He agreed it's all very woolley and not enough to go on, so he's gone away to try to get more info from the witnesses, and some character witnesses for dh (from his current managers). Dh feels quite positive but has to go back a week tomorrow. Am praying it will be done then and no case to answer Grin Thank you so much for your thoughts and kind words, means a great deal Smile

Star loling at your dh forgetting the nappy Grin.

CrispyTheCrisp · 30/11/2010 19:38

Ah yes, i have a nappy forgetter here too even owhen we are on No2 HmmGrin

Got DDs photos today - they are lovely and i have framed one of them but they haven't sent DD1's pictures of her on her own Angry

queen hope DP gets home ok. The East coast is supposed to get hit quite badly overnight

Cece Glad DH had a good day, but that is is dragging on another week. Can we write character refs too please?? Grin

Poor StarBoy, DD2 is now proudly telling people that she only has one black eye now Blush

Oh, and SS purchased. Do we have a proposed posting deadline? Don't want to send it now as the recipient will know it is one of 2 or 3 people who have them already sorted

BBBB have you received your parcel yet?

blueberryboybait · 30/11/2010 20:25

Crispy - I have a note for a parcel to collect which arrived today. You beat me to the when do we want CC posted by - I have mine (almost) and need to just package it up.

CC - much more positive news.

to everyone else

To whomever my MN secret santa was I'd like to say thank you. I know it was one of you ladies, I just know it. I don't feel particularly worthy of a such a great gift as I think all I've done is moan/whinge/cry/bleat this year. Whilst I'm feeling a tad emotional about it all you lot are just wonderful. Between helping me through loosing and remembering Gabriel, coping with my shitey job, encouraging me with the business and generally being brilliant, thank you all. I couldn't have ever hoped for such a wonderful lot of hairy truckers and stumbling into the wrong antenatal thread was meant for me - you lot might rue the day though Grin

blueberryboybait · 30/11/2010 21:02

Bibi - you deserved it whoever it came from what did you get?

OP posts:
BibiBelle · 30/11/2010 21:04

CrispyTheCrisp · 30/11/2010 21:05

Oh yes, yes, yes - that was me.

and uncrosses fingers from behind back Grin

You do deserve a nice treat though, so enjoy Smile. And stop feeling not worthy

blueberryboybait · 30/11/2010 21:14

Enjoy some obviously recognised that you ARE worthy and deserving AND they are right!

blueberryboybait · 30/11/2010 21:19

Ours is £5 or handmade (I'll have 2 brownies thanks :) ) not closing date yet but I would suggest posting no later than the 15th which will get to the relevant people (snow permitting)

OP posts:
blueberryboybait · 30/11/2010 21:21

I only suggsted the 15th because I am stupidly organised for once!
