Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FjorgynAndHotWater · 28/11/2010 11:37

Bibi I always wanted a shaker maker as a girl, I seem to rememeber friends having them and the smell was as addictive as play doh! Think we might get DD a new ebay bike for Christmas. Would it be wrong of me to wrap up her first bike and give it to DS, despite the fact he already plays with it? I do know the answer to that btw Grin

BibiBelle · 28/11/2010 12:06

Hots, up here it's called the ASDAS Grin

DD1 got a bike last year and DD2 got hers so no, imo YANBU Grin

Shaker maker to me just implies a feck load of mess which I can't be arsed cleaning up Blush

FjorgynAndHotWater · 28/11/2010 12:18

DD got some Moon Sand from one of her party friends yesterday, my friend was here when she opened it, cue much hollow laughter from her re all the mess we are about to endure. The giver is an only child, obviously her mum doesn't understand the possible complications of a rampaging viking younger brother Grin Thank goodness for wooden floors...

FjorgynAndHotWater · 28/11/2010 12:50

Am loving that we are equally common regional in our supermarket naming Grin

TwilightSurfer · 28/11/2010 13:07

We are a two tv household but that was hard fought by me for many years. I felt one tv was fine and sharing was a good thing. Now there's a tiny crap tv in the guest room which picks up limited channels, has a broken VHS player and a working for now DVD player. It's basically DH's for football/cooking/races programming. If I watch tv it's typically in bed after the girls are asleep on my laptop. Again, very rare. The tv in the living room is on too much and goes between three different kid learning programs. All in all it's a totally waste to be paying for cable.Hmm

FJ I hope BigGirlFJ feels better.

Must go put the roast in the slow cooker.Smile

UrsulaUndress · 28/11/2010 13:13

Shock TS I know we all have different views and must show tolerance but seriously, I don't think you should let the girls sleep on your laptop. One of them might explode.

TwilightSurfer · 28/11/2010 13:18

Okay, roast on! Gotta love slow cooking!!

Silks, I have a gamer here. DH & I have had many "Come To Jesus" talks over it. He truly can not multi-task when he's playing. It's not all the time and lately he's not gamed at all. I have tried so many times to tell him it's FINE but AFTER the girls are in bed. As mad as I get I know deep down he fights what I am saying only because it's a "YOUR NOT MY MOMMA" type issue with him. He knows he should be completely absorbed in it.Smile

Now, let's get those Christmas tree ornament boxes out!Grin

TwilightSurfer · 28/11/2010 13:20

LOL!!! Ursula I have an amazing since of sentence structure, don't I!!! Bah ha haha hahah ha Grin

UrsulaUndress · 28/11/2010 13:22

Oh F, sorry dd was sick after her party Sad poor duck. I remember there was a period where ds1 seemed to be sick at every celebration, combination of bucketloads of refined sugar and general excitement in his case, I think, just seemed to muck his tummy up. HOpe she'd a nice party anyway.

Asda / the Asda joke has gone completely over me head, no Asda here and no the Asda either.

DS1 going to the rugby match this afternoon (us v Argentina), will be icy! I am hemming curtains and tidying up. Wow don't you wish you were moi.

UrsulaUndress · 28/11/2010 13:23
Grin
UrsulaUndress · 28/11/2010 13:23

Ooh TS I'd like to be coming round to you for your slow roast.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 28/11/2010 13:33

Please only buy Moon Sand for your enemies children Shock (not that any of you have enemies I'm sure Wink)

Thanks Ursula and TS, think DD is feeling a lot better now. She's played with her devil moon sand and they are both now curled up watching Toy Story 2 again. Have bought Toy Story 3 for them for Christmas, but I wanna watch it now [impatient].

There was a knock at the door earlier, nearly popped with Shock when it was the postman. He brought another present for DD (posted first class from Norwich on Tuesday Hmm) and my lovely new red boden coat from ebay, hurrah! So now I will be snuggly warm and v gorgeous on the school run tomorrow Grin

Silkstalkings · 28/11/2010 14:15

We actually get Asders round here which technically-speaking shouldn't occur spontaneouslyConfused. You also need to take at least a second saying the first A sound.

TwilightSurfer · 28/11/2010 15:48

FJ, DD2 was given moon crap as a pre-DD2's birth pressie. I allowed her to play with it OUTSIDE on the patio and then "forgot" about it. Hmm It doesn't even dissolve in the rain. Very weird stuff!

VOTES PLEASE!
I am in negotiations with Santa regarding DD1's princess dress. This will be what she receives from the Princesses with an invitation to breakfast at the Castle blah blah blah. Anyway here are the top choices:

  1. Dress 1 - Pink
  1. Dress 2 - Pink
  1. Dress 3 - Fuchsia
  1. Dress 4 - Fuchsia
  1. Dress 5 - Pink but bow color is undecided

For your fancy, here are the two selections for DD2:

  1. DD2 Dress 1 - Fuchsia
  1. DD2 Dress 2 - Blue Winkmy fav

So vote and then I'll discuss further with DH. I will order today or tomorrow.Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 28/11/2010 16:21

I like number 2 for both DDs Smile

blueberryboybait · 28/11/2010 16:53

Yup - number 2 for them both too.

OP posts:
enyahadenough · 28/11/2010 17:10

BibiBelle · 28/11/2010 17:38

ah shite, looks like schools are going to be closed tomorrow. I'm on 8-6 shift and Dh has the hosp

TwilightSurfer · 28/11/2010 17:46

Bibi if you set up webcam I can keep and eye on them.Wink

blueberryboybait · 28/11/2010 18:09

Bibi - did you let A go? Poor DH can he not cancel the hosp - our hosp cancelled all appointments when we have 'the big snow' earlier this year. What time does his shift end? can he get a little snoozle in before you need to bundle out the door?

Sorry - all questions and no answers here Blush

OP posts:
blueberryboybait · 28/11/2010 18:10

Fjouryjory - I somehow missed that DD was poorly - hope she is on form again soon.

OP posts:
BibiBelle · 28/11/2010 18:46

No BBBB we still have her but as she can no longer work on Mondays Hmm we had asked a friend of ours who is a CM to take DD2 and D during school hours to let DH sleep. He drops them at school at the same time as E and collects them again at 3pm. His sodding hosp appt is at 3pm in St Andrews AND if the schools are off she will have her own kids hence no room for ours

He finishes at 7am and I start at 8am. the turn round is tight enough without it being treacherous outside too Grin At least he'll have driven home over the road that I need to travel so we'll know how they are.

TS - I'm inclined to take you up on your offer at this time lol

BibiBelle · 28/11/2010 18:50

That's Perth and Kinross schools closed.

TwilightSurfer · 28/11/2010 19:56

8AM (would be 3AM) until 3PM (would be 11AM)...
they'd have to go on the school run with me but it could work. Wink

thanks for your votes. i am definitely getting the dd2 #2 dress. i'm still not feeling "the love"...the REAL love for any of DD1's choices.Hmm still have time and tomorrow is cyber monday so prices may drop again!Wink

BibiBelle · 28/11/2010 22:14

still nothing about the schools here Hmm soup made, cakes made and veggies roasted for tomorrow
