Someone had to do it. Witty thread titles, not my forte, but no one else seemed willing.

OP posts:

Mama2Monkeys · 05/10/2010 10:45

DS at school saga ... had fab day sat at his 1st school related party Smile. Late sat and all day sunday DS kept having on/off hissy fits. I put this weird behaviour partly down to being 4 and being really tired and cranky because at a weekend he DOESNT LIE IN. Gets up at 7am like on a school day.

Oh and Sunday doing homework, write nos 1-9, then write 1-5 on print out frogs, then colour in and cut out. Then sing a song. Well 1st time DS written no's and he was constantly frustrated and mardy. He could only do the nos with the guides (ok?). I was glad when it was over.

After the bizarre incident last week when DS got frustrated and broke some tent poles ShockSadBlush he yesterday out of frustration and anger at getting hurt with a skipping rope (his own fault getting in the way i think) he bit a boy on his arm ShockSadBlush. Luckily it didnt do any damage because the boy had a thick coat and sweater on. It has been dealt with and DS teacher was lovely about it. I was surprisingly calm but so shocked and horrified. DS has NEVER hurt never mind bitten another child.

I'm now 34wks, feeling weepy and just Sad not sure how much is hormones and how much is just stuff that's going on. Went to BF class last night and have decided to give it a go with DC3 after my bad experience with DC1 and no attempt with DC2. Last fews days really been suffering from headaches (dont normally). Oh and my SPD has definitely got worse at night time and REALLY painful and "clicky" when trying to get out of bed and walk to the toilet and low/middle back pain in the day. But at least babe, whom is still nameless due to me and DH indecisiveness and family polictics, seems happy enough.

At work now Sad but at least maternity leave starts week on Thurs Smile. Then I will be able to rest 2 days out of 5 whilst DS at school and DD at nursery.

So sorry for my depressing post. Will now go and give myself a slap. Love to all and hope everyone well.

Ceebee74 · 06/10/2010 20:19

Where have you all gone again???

twinklingfairy · 06/10/2010 21:59

Yeah to jars TTC as of April.
You clearkly are very keen to get DC2 on the go, such a shame to read that it was not to be this month. It sounded so promising too. Never mind, sticky bean thoughts headed your way.
Forgotten who else is selling up, said they had 3 viewings in 3 months?
We have had a big fat zero in about 6!SadSad
Not holding my breath to selling it in 2011 even!

So much more I have read, but have forgotten to whom it all relates.
How awful, to choose a man over you son. How must her son feel to be told not to come home for a year cos she wants to stay with her DH who may or may not give up the swally!
Makes meAngry

Sure there is so much more to say, but i just can't wait anymore. I have 2 new kittens! They are curled up in one big lump of fur on mycouch. They are just fab!!
And I am typing away on my/our brand new swanky laptop curtesy of FIL! Sooooo chuft!!

openerofjars · 06/10/2010 22:58

Hi all, just popping my head round the door and then off to bed.

Twinkling, we are trying to sell ours as well but I think someone else is as well. Ours has been on the market since March and the only people who want it live across the road and they have been to see it 3 times, but are only prepared to offer about 70% of the asking price (cheeky bastards).

VVVVVVVV Envy of the kittens! WANT!

Mama, sounds like that end of pregnancy feeling, as well as everything else. Hugs to you.

Got to go, look at the time, eh?

Night night x

PS Has anyone else ever noticed what an odd place the rest of MN can sometimes be?

coolkat · 09/10/2010 19:31

Just a quick note to stay still here, hope were all having good weekends. DH worked today so took the girls out and Becca was a total nightmare, my god can that girl paddy!

Work doing my head in so I have applied for a new role but I am sure its full-time. Thing is is does not phase me I feel ready now. Bec will be starting play school in April and we have an amazing childminder so feels right. If I don't get it I am no sure what I am going to do as my current role depresses me and I can not afford to be depressed Hmm IYSWIM.

DD1 was 8 last week, my god where has time gone!
love to all x

sparkletoes · 10/10/2010 17:10

Night night all x

pixierara · 11/10/2010 08:45

morning all - hope you all had good weekends? I had an eventful one to say the least with not 1, but 2 Shock trips to A+E! DS1 was playing football and got a boot in the head, he got up, rubbed it and carried on playing the 2nd half...In the car on the way home, he was very subdued and then started complaining of feeling dizzy/tired etc Took him straight to A+E where they kept him in for Obs, discharged him with concussion (and told to rest no rugby much to his disgust) and gave me a booklet on what to watch out for concerning head injuries. Spent the rest of the day resting up on sofa, then about 6ish got very feverish. I put him to bed with calpol but checked at 7pm and still burning. DH then called me from downstairs to say that one of the signs of more severe head injury is a fever..we were straight back up to A+E but turns out he has a viral infection as watched him for hours and no othe signs or trauma apart from headache...Was very worrying, he is usually a pocket rocket but was so subdued..never seen anyone concussed and he was so not himself. Kept him off school today as had another temp during the night....

Fun and games!!

Made a choc mousse yesterday from an old Elizabeth David recipe......by far and away the best and easiest I have ever tried...also less calorific as no cream (well unless you slather it on top afterwards Wink )
Have a great week all - what are you going to do/buy for LO's birthdays?? We are going to have a halloween one for Pixie and she is getting Rose Petal House which a friend is selling and she loves!

J is a nightmare at the moment, at the dinner table too!
What is going on with them all?
Normally he is good at eating, but it is arguments all round and all he wants is yoditHmm
And cheese, babybels, which he loves to open but then does not eat!
I have to check with DD that she wants one before I let him have one. She is now refusing to eat them at all, I think to spite himHmm Fun and games all round.

LadyBuzz · 13/10/2010 21:57

hmm there must be something in the air! J has always been a great eater but he is just refusing point blank at the moment, I'm sure DS1 did this though Hmm

power I have sent you a FB message, hope you are OK.

ceebee you are still on discussion of the day for the THIRD day running Grin

Can I ask for your opinions please, What do you think of the name Lexi?

(Probably Lexi Margaret Briony)

Ceebee74 · 14/10/2010 14:48

Snap here - Hamster has always eaten anything and everything but barely touches his food at the moment (although he still eats everything at nursery Hmm) However, since DS1 eats like a sparrow, Hamster still eats loads in comparison Wink The other problem is that DS1 eats fast (because he doesn't eat much) and then asks to get down from the table - which rightly or wrongly we allow - but that means that Hamster pushes his plate away saying 'finished' and then 'down' as soon as that happens

Buzz love the name Lexi Smile I always liked it and now we have one in the family as my step-niece is called it.

Power have posted your link on a couple of other threads I am on - really hope it works for you!! I think I saw a bit of the fuss that was going on and am impressed you have held your own!

sparkletoes · 14/10/2010 16:44

Love it Buzz I love 'Alexa' too infact! So excited for you!!

I can now imagine what kind of trouble you are having Power.. F*ckers, prolly just jealous. Good for you rise above it all. Hope u win! (if it all gets too much and you think someone has found out your usual name I would just change/slightly alter it..)

Oh no its that dreaded time of day again isn't it... best go and get tea on then :-/
