Go Summer, you rock.

Rubs, I am no BF expert (even though I am still doing it) but I do remember having some latch problems with Matthew when he was very small. I remember Turnip saying that if the baby came off and your nipple looked like a lipstick rather than evenly domed you need to get it sorted. As she is very wee, do you ensure you lift her up to be in a straight line when you feed her and ensure that her head is not twisted? Poor you, hope you get someone to watch a feed and make some practical suggestions.

Veg, I would love to meet yo on the 27th - will have all 3 in tow that day though so will have to see how the land lies nearer the time. Where are you meeting? And how exciting Bisou will be here too.

Nolda, I can't quite remember what the problem was with your DH, so sorry, but I do hope that he is taking steps to get it sorted. Take care of yourself and please do unload here if it helps.

How you feeling JJ, oh dear clackered one? Hope the sickness hasn't landed for you yet Jolly.

Zoe, that is so energetic. Puts the rest of us to shame.

Hello everyone else, hope you are well.

Supposed to be sorting laundry. Have done nothing. Must jump to it. Back later.

sybilfaulty · 11/08/2010 10:49

Rubs, have you rung the insurer? I rang mine to check what their limit was and what they required in terms of Dr involvement and they just said when I felt confident to go again. They said most mothers post partum would have their babies in tow and so would be unlikely to risk it, so once I was confident I could do an emergency stop and turn to reverse, I was good to go.. 2 1/2 weeks for me, as I healed very well. Made a huge difference of course. Ring them!!!

EffiePerine · 11/08/2010 10:58

Go go Summer! I think we may need to chuck Jolly in a pond after her spooky prediction Grin.

Rubena · 11/08/2010 11:42

Thanks Sybs - I'm ringing them the minute I post this! Then lady - I will let you know as if I have the ability to drive myself - that changes the whole landscape Grin

Vag - you have to reg the baby in the area they are born. Actually you can do it locally but they will send it all on to the area of birth anyway and then post it back and it all takes way longer. I need to get BC so I can get passport etc started and on it goes with the paperwork Grin

Well dh walked in to total calm as I had just gelled ds's teeth (clearly teething probs are in the mix) and he calmed down, and dd was asleep for the first time this morning (and STILL is!) ds is asleep now too. BLISS

Right - calling my insurer now.... stand by

Nolda · 11/08/2010 11:58

Thinking of you Summer, hope all goes speedily and painlessly as possible and can't wait to hear all about how gorgeous your new baby is.

Rubes Fingers crossed the insurers give you the green light.

Have been googling counsellors in our area and from reading the blurb on such sites see that DH's problems are "a sympton of longer term problems in the relationship", great! Just what I need more guilt. Of course I know that it takes two to make a relationship work but seeing it in black and white is painful.

Seeing the hygienist this afternoon, so at least something in my life will be sparkly clean.

Rubena · 11/08/2010 12:02

SYBS! I love you!!! Just off the phone - my insurer said as long as I haven't been specifically told I must not drive (which I haven't) they said I can - as long as I feel up to it GrinGrinGrin
Oh the feeling of freedom is restored!!
Then dh said "yeah it's kind of a grey area, I was pretty sure they'd say that" Shock
Right I'm off to drive myself to the clinic in a bit, and then to my hair appointment and tomorrow to reg dd Grin

Lady - I might have to see how the 2 of them are tomorrow, and how tonight goes etc. My appointment is 0930, but I have to check where etc, and get back to you so I will text you when I sort it all out, but would love to see you if I can manage it.

LadyThompson · 11/08/2010 12:29

Listen Nolda - am not sure of the specific details of your situation, but sack the guilt. Guilt and regret and all those types of emotion are a waste of life. You are doing something practical by checking out counselling and that alone is brilliant. Keep your head and with a bit of effort from your DH too you can move forward. I don't want to sound like some psychobabbling robot as I am a psychbabble free zone, but I do know that most people can amaze themselves with how strong they actually are...Rubes, smashing bout the driving, and sure, let me know later or whatever. As long as I'm in Oxford when I said, I'm a free agent tomorrow.

Beans33 · 11/08/2010 13:51

Woohoo for Summer - will keep everything crossed for it all to go well! Do we know what sex it is? Ooh ooh! So exciting!

Rubes - yay to the driving! Makes life so much easier for you - hurray!

I have a burn on my arm from cooking last weekend and it rubs on everything. Most annoying and a bit sore. poor me.

Nolda - hear hear to what LadyT says - don't feel guilty. It takes two to tango. I have no idea what DH has done, but you can sort it out together, I'm sure. It just needs communication and going to a counsellor is first steps to that. You are brave and clever for doing it. Don't don't don't feel guilty.

ooh exciting stuff. Go baby lightening!

Nolda my thoughts are with you. Stay strong and stick to your guns about how you want to be respected and what you want from life.

Ok am going to be brave and beware I will prob be fishwifeing at my children as they are monsters but I would love to join you all for a meet on the 27th.

Got to go and stick my head in the oven my children are a nightmare I fear its the only solution, was defo contemplating selling them earleir.

EffiePerine · 11/08/2010 15:22

Jam: I'm hopefully coming on the 27th as well, so we could always meet up on the train. Safety in numbers!

Veggiemummy · 11/08/2010 16:33

Gosh the suspense is killing me, I hope SL is ok!

In regards to the meet up I still haven't heard from Bisou but I think afternoon is ok how is 1pm for everyone, too early? As far as where, can everyone make a couple of suggestions and we'll see if we have any over laps. should I start a meet up thread?

Veggiemummy · 11/08/2010 17:08

Pubs DS1 was born our of area but it only took a few days to send. But if you have the car now it's all good. Though why isn't DH registering her, cheeky begger you did all the other work!

Also I'm very Blush I still haven't bought DDs present will remedy that tomorrow hopefully as I have a few hours to myself and apart from meeting a friend for coffee (both of us Childfree hooray) I intend to put some serious time into shopping. Sadly I really need to shop for a new pair of jeans already. I ripped my fav pair around the buttock area, I've only had them 4 months! Clearly poor quality jeans. There is a 2nd hand clothes shop hear that vetes their clothes very carefully and only stocks designer 2nd hand clothes. Will be popping in to check out their jeans selection.

Veggiemummy · 11/08/2010 17:27

Hey pubs I just thought of something. When DH registered DS2 the lady at the registry said that very soon they'd be going online. Maybe you don't have to go in at all as long as everything has been received from the hospital of course.

KiwiPanda · 11/08/2010 19:00

ZJ us single-child parents will have to stick together! All these double offspring lot, honestly, haven't they heard about overpopulation Wink

Ooo oo meet up?? I missed this! Bloody work taking me away from mn far too much at the moment. Veggie is it when you are back in londontown? And if so when and where??

KiwiPanda · 11/08/2010 19:01
