Suspicious death, suspected murder. Think there is a press conference soon.

FAFO? I couldn't stand the woman, but this is a shitty thing to say.

I pray that the police have got this wrong and she just fell, and it was all so quick.

But she was hated by far left activists.

Heather Herbert is a former Labour MSP. He and his trans activists friends were crowing about her death this morning.

Mr Herbert is a vile MAN and a despicable MAN.
HE should stfu.
I hope HE is condemned for HIS awful post on x.

Lifeomars · 10/07/2026 15:58

I had no time for the woman and the views she espoused, but if true then it is truly awful

LoveItaly · 10/07/2026 15:59

I have read a few nasty and celebratory comments on X regarding her death, hope those people will be looked into if it does turn out to be foul play.

Lampzade · 10/07/2026 15:59

I detest her politics , but this is just horrible

AdultHumanEmail · 10/07/2026 15:59

It's always sad when they go young like that. Praying for Ann.

This comment is in very poor taste. The woman has been murdered. Maybe you didn't like her. Neither did I. But have some basic respect.

I have reported your post.

ShanghaiDiva · 10/07/2026 15:59

How awful. When I read the news this morning there was mention of some event with Farage on Wednesday so I assumed it was a heart attack or similar.

What an awful thing to publically announce, that she hopes her death was extremely painful. Now she's going to look absolutely heartless and vile for saying that.

How on earth do you know with any certainty she wouldn't ? Unless you murdered her of course 😏

Tiddlywinks63 · 10/07/2026 16:00

That’s so sad. I meet her not so many years ago and we reminisced about being at school together, she was 5years ahead of me and Head Girl.
I always admired her for being brutally honest at times.
She certainly didn’t deserve such a brutal death if it is murder.

Fiendishandfiery · 10/07/2026 16:00

Additup · 10/07/2026 15:54

Why shouldn't I comment like that? It still could be assisted suicide, gone a bit 'wrong', admittedly.

Don’t be ridiculous. Assisted suicide where she’s beaten to death over her head, wtf.

OhBotherSaidPoo · 10/07/2026 16:01

Gosh, that's so awful.

I thing you mean 'he'. Heather Herbert is male.

Oh that’s awful. The investigation and the celebration.

I agree - shocking and deplorable. RIP Miss Widdecombe 💐

Look?

Really this is someone who should learn to be quieter

Nanda66 · 10/07/2026 16:02

This is truly shocking.

I met her once at a party, I worked with a member of her family. She was clever and lively and entertaining. Regardless of her politics, which I didn’t agree with, she was a woman who stood by her principles and we need more strong politicians like that.

JustAnotherWhinger · 10/07/2026 16:02

hugasaurus · 10/07/2026 15:53

This is so bizarre. If she was found like that press release said, it’s weird her agent or whoever it was would have released an innocuous statement about her death as it would have been immediately obviously clearly.

People who think they’ve got away with it make careless mistakes.

In hindsight the announcement is lacking any detail

Obviously I meant she took something and then had a fall 🙄

MillicentFaucet · 10/07/2026 16:03

@keepswimming38
What a cruel thing to write, whatever you think about anyone's politics that poor woman likely died in pain and fear.
Even if you hate them both her murder is not a joke

AW was completely opposed to assisted dying. Stop it.

mellongoose · 10/07/2026 16:04

I have no words. People can be so cruel. We are allowed to have differing opinions. Vastly differing opinions.

Rest in peace dear Ann.

She was a committed Christian so hardly likely to consider suicide.

HoppityBun · 10/07/2026 16:04

Additup · 10/07/2026 15:44

Maybe assisted suicide? Although I admit, that doesn't seem a very Ann Widdecombe thing to do.

Without want to sound bad, was anyone else surprised she was only 78?

Any sort of assisted suicide would surely be contrary to her fervent allegiance to the Roman Catholic denomination of Christianity?
