Just wondering who everyone hopes will win??

I'm hoping for a Burnham win but as long as it's not Kenyon I can live with it.

Andy Burnham.

Jenrick's not standing!!

LlynTegid · Yesterday 16:48

I don't want Reform to win.

So Andy Burnham as the only candidate who can win otherwise.

Andy Burnham.

Jenrick's not standing!!

The only place Robert Jenrick should be standing in is a court of law.

Not Burnham

Not Burnham

Can I ask why?

I think Burnham would be an even worse PM than Starmer so I’m hoping he doesn’t win.

Not Burnham

It will be most interesting if Burnham should lose. Will anyone launch a leadership contest?

I also have an inkling that if Kenyon wins he will be found out in short order.

Whether he'd be a better leader of Labour then SKS isn't the question for Makersfield's electors.

Their choice seems to be Burnham or the Refuk fellow.

NEGUY82 · Yesterday 16:54

Ill laugh till my wides split if Labour beat Reform by whatever share of the vote Restore get, that'll be hillarious.

I think Streeting would like to kick off a contest.

His problem is he probably can't win...

Yetone · Yesterday 16:57

Absolutely anyone but Burnham.
Never ever ever in a million years would I have thought I wanted Reform to win.

Watdidyousay · Yesterday 16:58

Restore

ErrolTheDragon · Yesterday 16:59

Definitely not reform, restore or greens.
As to Burnham, not a fan - if he’s likely to be able to make Labour less shite at actually running the country rather than internal squabbles and u turns then sure … but I’m not convinced he can.

yesitstoohectic · Yesterday 17:01

Count Binface . He has great thighs

Lovelyview · Yesterday 17:04

It's tricky. I really resent the idea that Andy Burnham gets elected and then walks into 10 Downing Street. I do think that Reform or the Greens winning increases the exposure of their batshit policies. We shall see.

itssoeasy · Yesterday 17:05

Labour.

If reform win this country is doomed.

Randomchat · Yesterday 17:05

I think this is not fair to the constituents. Their constituency is being used to play games for the Labour party. Who wants an MP that is only standing so he can become party leader and PM? He wasn't interested in standing before, being the MP just for the good of the constituents. Only for the good of his own political career. I know many of them are the same but this is so blatant.
I would not vote for Burnham for those reasons.
But then all of the alternatives are worse. So maybe I would vote for him.

angelos02 · Yesterday 17:07

Anyone but Burnham. He'll take the party even further to the left - ergo, taking even more in tax and not tackling the welfare crisis.

GoodkneeBadKnee · Yesterday 17:08

Reform. So we can see how amazing they'll be. Obviously, I don't live there...

Giggorata · Yesterday 17:15

Not Burnham, who as pointed out, is a careerist, plus isn't he another politician who failed to pursue dealing with the grooming/rape gangs in Manchester?

ainsleysanob · Yesterday 17:18

Anyone. Anyone at all other than Burnham. Literally anyone.

Northermcharn · Yesterday 17:26

'I think this is not fair to the constituents. Their constituency is being used to play games for the Labour party. Who wants an MP that is only standing so he can become party leader and PM? '

Quite - the sheer contempt the Labour party and Burnham are showing to the electorate in Makerfield, and possibly wider, is actually disgusting.

Reform and restore will have their vote split, so it looks like Labour will win anyway.

Frankly it's all a shit show and the people coming last are us. The tax payers, the electorate, when we're possibly forced to have Burnham as an unelected PM.

The Labour party are definitely Not using their powers in our interest. and we're paying for them. Awful grubby little electorate manipulating tax grabbers.

Curveygirl · Yesterday 17:26

Another for anyone other than Burnham @Giggorata Maggie Oliver has made some comments on this recently.

Burnham. Kenyon thinks I can’t drive
