Just wondering who everyone hopes will win??

I'm hoping for a Burnham win but as long as it's not Kenyon I can live with it.

Does the country need yet another PM leadership contest? Can the Labour Party survive if it has one?

We voted for Keir Starmer and I will never go back to Labour if they get rid of him.

Burnham is 1/10 now to win so it's not really a contest anymore - I don't think he'll be a good PM. I genuinely find Starmer more appealing than him!

Reform all the way

ProfessorRedshoeblueshoe · Yesterday 17:34

Count Binface. Burnham spent £104.5 million on the CAZ, then he realised it could cost him votes he scrapped it.

wonderstuff · Yesterday 17:34

Really hope Burnham wins. I personally quite like Keir, but I think I’m an outlier in that and Burnham has the charisma to lead. I really worry about reform, I get that there’s disappointment about Labour, but I think things will get much much worse under Reform. I don’t really understand what people are thinking Reform are going to do to improve anything?

DandelionPockets · Yesterday 17:35

Burnham

CheeseyOnionPie · Yesterday 17:35

Yetone · Yesterday 16:57

Absolutely anyone but Burnham.
Never ever ever in a million years would I have thought I wanted Reform to win.

So a self proclaimed sexist moron from the party led by a likely racist grifter who will do anything for money and doesn’t intend to protect women’s most essential rights?

ChurchYardFromMyWindow · Yesterday 17:36

Burnham.

redboxer321 · Yesterday 17:39

Labour.

If reform win this country is doomed.

Also want Labour to win but sadly I think this country is doomed whoever is in power. But would be worse is Nige and his mates get in.

BotterMon · Yesterday 17:48

Jake Austin or the bloke from Rejoin the EU.

PistachioTiramisu · Yesterday 18:02

Anyone but the dreadful Burnham!

NEGUY82 · Yesterday 18:04

If you’re a woman and voting Reform you probably need to look into them a bit more.

Count Binface . He has great thighs

It gave me a chuckle listening to him on the news today.

Why do you hate him? Do you just hate Labour or is it him specifically? (genuinely curious, he seems affable but not sure how his politics differ from Starmer’s.)

Big eyes? Knobbly knees, and turned-out toes, and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose?

Another for anyone other than Burnham @Giggorata Maggie Oliver has made some comments on this recently.

Well MO has said in a Panorama relatively recently that she knew that police officers were involved but she certainly didn't pursue that line at the time so I'm not over sympathetic to anything she says tbh.

I hope AB wins but I'm not in the Consituency.

ManyShapesOfPasta · Yesterday 18:39

Not Burnham, which means Kenyon since it isn't going to be anyone else.
Basically I'd vote against Labour, last time I voted for Labour, but that was a vote against the SNP.
Im politically homeless.

I do hate Labour but he would take another lurch to the left, which I despise. Starmer is a wet weekend but at least he is preferable to Burnham, Rayner and Milliband. Have you read his proposed policies?

dizzydizzydizzy · Yesterday 18:54

LlynTegid · Yesterday 16:48

I don't want Reform to win.

So Andy Burnham as the only candidate who can win otherwise.

This. Anyone as long as it’s not Reform.

safetyfreak · Yesterday 18:56

My concern is if Burnham wins, that he walks straight into a PM role without a mandate.

He has said he wants to make big changes to adult social care, immigration and taxes. How can he do this without an agreement from the public? We didn't vote for that.

At least Keir is more in the middle left.

I hate Reform too BTW!

jollytummywobbles · Yesterday 19:27

Count Binface- he was robbed in the London Mayoral Election.

his policy on croissants is worth the vote alone!

I'm from a village near Rochdale which may go a little way to explain why I have strong feelings about the rape gangs.

Lot's of local towns have been left behind while Manchester is thriving (I like Manchester and I'm glad it's thriving). The bee network caps didn't apply to my son's school bus so we still had to pay over £30 a week for buses.

GMC have funded cycle lanes in Rochdale, there has been uproar about it as it's brought the town to a stand still. The cycle lanes that were put in as part of the first phase can't be used as they are full of debris and pot holes so the few cyclists Rochdale have cycle on the roads because it's safer.

The money wasted on the cycle lanes in Rochdale could have been used in many different ways. We've had a child die because of mould in their home, the food banks can't keep up with demand and socially the community seems more split than ever. It just feels like a really silly thing to be spending money on when the town is on it's knees.

I did see that Reform (I don't support reform) are looking for a mayor candidate in prep for AB winning. AB just seems so out of touch with the smaller towns and what matters to them.

Nuthatch26 · Yesterday 20:17

Anyone but Burnham. The Conservative candidate preferably but no chance in that constituency.

topcat2014 · Yesterday 20:21

I would die laughing if Burnham loses. Taking voters for granted never ends well. Imagine if you were the MP who 'resigned' and reform gets in

Curveygirl · Yesterday 20:22

I wish AB had to quit as mayor to run for MP. He shouldn't have that as a fall back if he did fail to become the Makerfield MP.
