Yes I am being serious. The 11% inflation rate in 2022 was a direct result of the Truss budget. There’s currently a war in the Middle East affecting supply side inflation, it’s still less than 3%.

When UK inflation was 11% the worldwide inflation was at the same level, it was war in Ukraine which pushed up energy prices and post covid impact.

When Tory were leaving the office inflation came down to just over 2%. So trajectory was down under Tory.

Labour upped it to 3.something% even before Iran. And it's substantially higher than in surrounding part of the world. Means trajectory is up under Labour.

But you will never ever agree that Labour are wrong.

I hope they do, and I say that as a reform member. If labour win by the few percent restore take then, yeah it wont be great short term, but absolutely the kick up the bum that is needed for reform/restore/tories/advance to sort themselves out for the general.
