Just wondering who everyone hopes will win??

I'm hoping for a Burnham win but as long as it's not Kenyon I can live with it.

was just going to post the same.

Assuming it's 39.1m taxpayers in the UK, it's going to cost average taxpayer 270 pa.

Just wow! Mind that Defense Budget is seemingly being delayed because they can't find the way to fund it. Mere 13bn

Just wow!

ETA: will be interesting to check gilts tomorrow - I bet they'll jump up. Yet again. They do every time he opens his mouth.

To be fair the Starmer era is making truss look not so bad already sigh. Burnham would just put it on steroids. I read some analysis I think by labours second budget they already surpassed the damage truss did.

Politically it’s looking worse now

But if we had an early election Reform would almost certainly win it, at this point.

WooHoo, Waspi here.

As well as the Waspis, I'd love to see someone sort out the victims of the Post Office scandal. As well as Paula Vennells and her pals face some real justice

The thought of them being in real power is terrifying. I literally hate Labour now, but the problem with Reform is, they're worse. Farage and Trump? JC.

At the last GE my Conservative MP lost 31% of their previous share of the vote.

Boris crowned the pretender - Farage.

I wonder why those who think Starmer is doing such a bad job and have so much hatred for Labour don't stand for office themselves. Probably in part at least because they think they would fail as well. There is no easy solution, perhaps no solution, for the multitude of problems the UK and the whole world face.

Luckily there are politicians who do just that and we can vote for them instead of Starmer and Labour.

And I suspect they too will fail. They might do worse or they might do better than this Labour government but nobody's got any real answers. They can't because if they really faced up to what we as a human race need to do, they'd never get into power.

Not sure about that but what do they need to do in your view?

Well done Blossom. Great connection. I do. Labour also hate people like me my family, and my friends. That's people who pay taxes, people who have businesses and employ other people. ie, Working people. People who work. We are much poorer and feel more helpless about the future, whilst for eg. benefit claimants are richer on our cash and pay no tax (even if they receive over 12-13k in benefits - unlike us working people).

Fck Labour. I'd like Starmer to stay PM til we get rid of Labour though, changing to the performative jogging little twerp brought up in a nice Cheshire village does not help.

You are wrong.
Labour don't hate you (and me and my family), they love you because you're there to milk. As proven in the leaked WhatsApp between Pat Mcfadden and Mandleson where the question Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others? was discussed.

Oh yes. You're right.

MulberryBrandy · Yesterday 09:05

Going back to the question on this Thread... I haven't heard the Lib Dems mentioned at all. I see that the Tory is mentioned about twice - for coming over well on QT - but this is another huge issue. It is the Conservatives that Reform continue to threaten the most.

To act in the long term rather than pursuing short term wins so they can stay in power. To try to work with other countries to make this world less of a living hell for millions of other people and many millions more other beings. It's a very big ask and would be in some ways like trying to turn the clock back but I think the human race has gone very wrong and all we do is tinker round the edges while waiting for the global crisis to worsen which will result in who knows what.

If you don't understand that mortgage rates rose in that time directly because of Truss there's absolutely no point in discussing with you. You are just on the wind up.
