I don't think Starmer will be in post long after the May elections anyway - so its academic.

If however it transpired Starmer knew, and can be proved to have known, about Mandelsons activities before he appointed him maybe.

But, my view is Starmer is useless as a PM, but a decent man, I really think he was duped.

Don't be so blinkered. Starmer could not have become DPP without being highly competent.

Actually that isnt always the case. You are just nominated by colleagues (for whatever reason..sometimes to get you moved on). Don't assume these sorts of roles are exclusively held by competent people...

I've always thought Mandelson was odious, but I really didn't need to see a pic of him in his pants.

As for Starmer's position, they all fall or are pushed sooner or later. I've been voting for forty years and nothing much surprises me. New faces, same old lies on both sides of the House. Plus ça change ...

Why are people assuming that anyone - including KS - knew anything about Mandelson and JE? The whole part about the files is that they are a deep dive into private correspondence and photos. Mandelson knew what he'd done but there is absolutely no evidence that anyone else in the UK govt did.

They knew he was dishonest though and liked borrowing money from rich men and doing favours for wealthy foreign men. Which was why he resigned each time. Bit of a liability.

There is speculation about that. It’s all rather odd.

I think Mandy needs to be questioned about whether Epstein supplied him with very young boys. And we need to know more about why Epstein was really paying Mandy’s husband for ‘osteopathy courses’ - I mean, really?

And we need to know the finer details of what Keir had, if anything, in common with Mandy.

But it's a huge stretch to assume that he / they knew about the extent of what JE was up to.

But a reasonable.person would have a good idea that we have a repeat offender here and probably not appoint him as ambassador to the US for a start.

No read up on him. I remember when it happened the first time and the second time. Huge undeclared loan from Geoffrey Robinson to buy a house. And then he used his position to interfere with a passport application for the wealthy Indian businessman who was getting investigated at the time by the Indian government. Both times he was forced to resign. The guy cannot behave. And now we know he was up to much worse anyway!

It’s not about whether he is gay. Did he exploit a vulnerable youth from Ukraine, that’s what I want to know, and did he commit an illegal act, and has he tried to evade justice (remember his former position). He is not automatically innocent because some supporters might like to believe he is.

How did a young lad from Ukraine know the address of one of Keir’s properties and why did he try to set fire to it? I want the truth, because it all seems rather odd to me.

And let’s remember Keir is a married man. He also has a certain view of what a woman is.
