i think it increased the chances he goes, this by-election could do for him if not the May elections.

There's also the small matter of the fact that she was very obviously overwhelmed by the demands of the role and could barely string together a coherent sentence. The same cannot be said of Starmer.

Starmer is a very poor judge of character.

Dollymylove · 03/02/2026 18:33

Mandy should of gone years ago, given his rap sheet. And hope he takes Starmer down with him

I was talking about the trial of the arsonists, as you know.

"As you know". I always love how people reply vaguely and then assume that people understand what they really meant, a stranger on MN. Its so silly!

Yes the arsonists. Fascinating no matter what comes out of that. How did they know the correct targets. What was their jobs and intention? I for one won't find it boring at all!

I can't see Reform giving away Islands owned by UK.

Huh probably sell their own grannies if there was a a couple of quid in it. You aint seen nothing yet. Just you wait.

Well he does talk a lot of rubbish that is true. Many many sentences strung together of wiffle.

Btw I did think initially you were talking about RR being obviously overwhelmed there!

You seem to have some insider knowledge of the Reform manifesto vis a vis raising money by flogging off elderly relations? What's your scoop? How did you get it?

No, just the NHS and God knows what else.

Mauritius are planning on sueing us now for millions. Well done David Lammy.

Missed this, it’s definitely been cancelled?

On Starmer going maybe. He deserves to be hung out for Mandelson and the other bad policies.

StarChamber · 03/02/2026 18:00

And Boris Johnson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor too. I hope they all go down.

What was Johnson’s involvement?

rumred · 03/02/2026 18:50

So the royal family will be chucked out, using this reasoning? Andrew clearly more involved and abusive than mandelson. And Charles etc must have been aware of at least some of his corrupt behaviour

There are gagging orders in place tighter than Fort Knox. We wont found out the truth 🙄

That doesn't make him a worse Prime Minister than Truss.

Well no, cos theres no democratic process for getting rid of a royal family. Unless we ..you know.. do a France 😁

It looks like many think he is going by ratings.

Starmer and Reeves have both lasted in their respective roles for 18 months, and counting. In terms of competence and statesmanship, Truss is simply not in their league. You can argue all you like, but that is a fact.

They've only lasted because the alternatives are worse.

And if theres one thing and one thing only that KS is good at and thats keeping a grip on the Labour Party. No one will dare get rid of him.

The public are the deciders are he polls lower than anyone.

Pineneedlesincarpet · 03/02/2026 16:18

Its a tricky one. For consistency and to avoid accusations of hypocrisy I suppose yes bearing in mind Boris was ultimately brought down by dodgy appointments (I am regularly told on MN).

Boris Johnson was brought down by not taking alleged sex offences by one of his own MPs seriously.

Yes similar to KS then..except Pms offences were dishonesty. And as it turns out potentially espionage!!

LlynTegid · 03/02/2026 18:58

Keir Starmer I predict will retire in 2028 if it looks like Labour will lose the next general election.

AnnasFangs · 03/02/2026 18:41

No, just the NHS and God knows what else.

I suggest you read - and understand - Labour's 10 year plan for the NHS and it's implications before criticising any other party.

38thparallel · 03/02/2026 18:59

Don't forget he really made sure innocent British soldiers were unfairly prosecuted and wanted to do it so much he worked for free.

That was so despicable of Starmer - thank God that wicked lawyer Shiner was struck off. He should’ve gone to prison but the judge let him off on the grounds his crimes happened a long time ago. The legal profession looking after its own, I suppose.
