Prayer thread for summer 2009 - My grace is sufficient

DutchOma · 18/06/2009 13:24

My grace is sufficient for you 2Cor 12:9
and
When I am weak then I am strong 2Cor 12:10

Reading through last month's prayer request I came across the first text quoted by M44 and it brought the second one to mind.
When I am weak.....when I cry out to the Lord to my sisters to please pray for me, when life is hard....then I am strong.
I counted more than 20 names in last month's prayerlist, more than 30 when I counted the names Dippy had mentioned at the beginning of her update, so I will only mention a few names here.

We pray for Anna and Findlay, where real miracles of the Lord are needed.
For M44's mother-in-law in hospital
For Weegiemum that the Lord may uphold her as only He can. For Marc and Suzanne on their wedding day.
For Boilerwoman that she may take her strength from the Lord.
For Jentlydoesit and her DP that God may bring good into a difficult situation. Giving thanks for the new job.
For Swaliswan and dd2.
For Onlyjoking in this season of remembrances and for the children who are suffering more now than a year ago.
For Clockface with exciting changes to come.

And at this stage, sisters, I call you together to prayer for one another.
You know who you are - beloved of the Lord.

Bless your DS, Mary - little Super star Prayers for a fab presentation my lovely

Glad DD has had a super day KTNoo

What great news that you have had a much better night and day MJIM Prayers for this to continue. Everything goes in "seasons" or "phases" with children, I think. You just sort of have to ride the storm and enjoy the good bits whenever they come .... not that I am expert as my eldest is only 5.5 yrs

Love & Prayers. xx

LovingtheSilverFox · 29/06/2009 22:01

Praying for everyone this evening x

MJIM - I chickened out today and asked DH to drop her off and pick her up! I asked the teacher to telephone me instead and we have arranged a meeting for tomorrow afternoon. I hadn't actually got a meeting booked for today, was just hoping (ha ha) that they might be able to see me. Thanks for your support, I am trusting we will be ab;e to get to the bottom of this, as there doesn't always appear to be a trigger.

MaryBS · 29/06/2009 22:27

I'VE FINISHED (or have I only just started? )

Casserole · 30/06/2009 08:57

Hi all, I'm new to this thread, but glad to have found it! What a lovely little corner of Mumsnet.

Clockface, I suspect we live pretty near each other from your canal post - I am about 2 mins walk from the spot where he was found. South West Herts? I am so sorry for your loss. Will pray for you and for all who knew and loved him. It's so incredibly hard on those who get left behind to work through all the difficult feelings when you lose someone like that.

I'm just going to pray for a good day for us all today - especially those like me whose LOs didn't sleep well due to the heat.

Cx

DutchOma · 30/06/2009 09:09

Mary, congratulations. How wonderful. What happens next? (Apart from the licensing to which we will turn up in force)

Casserole, welcome, prayers for your little ones who didn't sleep well

Well, we've got a meeting next week to evaluate the course, and I meet with the people in charge of Readers, for a "leaver's discussion", whatever one of those is. I also have to meet with the bishop, so he can "rubber stamp" me. I guess I ought to find myself a cassock-alb and blue scarf as well, hopefully the church will buying those for me!

Praying for all those in need of God's tender care. May he be a light in the darkness to them.

Notquitegrownup · 30/06/2009 12:37

Good morning all.

Hurrah, hurrah, well done Mary and well done Mary'sds too, at Beaver camp

Welcome KTNoo. Good to see you here. Do tell us a little about yourself, and ask any questions you want, too, to get to know us. And happy birthday to your lo

Happy birthday for yesterday, Minimufti [balloon popping emoticon]

Hiya CD Prayers and hugs for you and dh. You know where I am if you need to email/scream/chat. How is the little boy's Mum and Dad, whom you mentioned to us a while back - his mum was awaiting her diagnosis?

Prayers for Jumente's friend and for all that God will hold you close today and that you will feel Him near to you.

God bless all.

positiveattitudeonly · 30/06/2009 15:46

I have been reading this thread for a while and just want to pop in and say Hi to you all!

DutchOma · 30/06/2009 16:05

Good to hear from you pao.

frAKKINPannikin · 30/06/2009 20:07

Prayers for KTNoo - moving is a difficult time. May you feel God's presence with you always.

Praise for Mary!

Praying for strength and confidence for LTSF, may God give you the words you need to say and need to hear.

Please pray for me - I hand my notice in tomorrow, don't have a job to go to, will be losing my home which comes with the job, don't know anything about DH2B's job yet and am living on Faith (which I know is enough but doesn't feel like it sometimes).

Notquitegrownup · 30/06/2009 22:13

Great to hear from you pao. It would be lovely if you could stop as well as pop!

Wow FrA, big day tomorrow. Praying that it will be the beginning of new blessings for you and that God will bless your new life as you build it on Him.

Now, where's Longway gone?!

notsofarnow · 01/07/2009 03:20

Hi all sorry been awol lately. Just find it really hard to keep up on here

We have had the mother of all storms here a bit earlier so as a consequence i am now awake - still.

New job is going really well and dc are fine. DD1 seems to have found some friends and has got a bit of a social life. Dd2 seems to be coming out the other end and is quite good company atm. dd3 has developed a bit of a naughty streak and ds well he is just ds lovely but hard work sometimes as they all are in diffeent ways.

I have had rough few days, just feel generally rubbish, feel like on a spiral going not the way i would like. Sat in garden sobbing last night. praying its a minor blip because can't face going down tht route again.

Right enough of me blabbering away I do think of you all often honestly.

MaryBS · 01/07/2009 07:24

Hi NSFN , sorry I missed you on facebook last night... praying for God to lift you from your gloom

Notquitegrownup · 01/07/2009 10:18

Hi NSFN - good to hear from you and apologies for getting your name wrong! I knew that it had changed, but at 10.30pm I have NO memory cells left at all

Sorry that you are having a blip. Your dcs sounds amazing, and you are doing an incredible job bringing up 4 of them, and starting a new job too. You are entitled to feel tired and overwrought occasionally! Prayers that the clouds will shift and you will find yourself back in the sunshine again.

God bless all.

Evening All,

Just popping by to add my prayers.

Congratulations, Mary. It's been a lot of hard work to get to this stage, hasn't it? Well done!

I'm too tired to update you all properly. I also don't want to ask for specific prayer whilst I'm feeling so run down and stressed about several things. I'm sure that I will feel more able to cope in the morning.

weegiemum · 01/07/2009 23:00

Have not been around much --- very busy !

But wondered if anyone had seen {{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/bereavement/782621-I-have-never-made-so-many-people-cry this thread]] - woolyjo was expecting her first baby this month and little Niamh was stillborn with the cord round her neck.

I though we shoudl pray for them, and their little daughter Mae who is 2.
