Prayer thread for summer 2009 - My grace is sufficient

My grace is sufficient for you 2Cor 12:9
and
When I am weak then I am strong 2Cor 12:10

Reading through last month's prayer request I came across the first text quoted by M44 and it brought the second one to mind.
When I am weak.....when I cry out to the Lord to my sisters to please pray for me, when life is hard....then I am strong.
I counted more than 20 names in last month's prayerlist, more than 30 when I counted the names Dippy had mentioned at the beginning of her update, so I will only mention a few names here.

We pray for Anna and Findlay, where real miracles of the Lord are needed.
For M44's mother-in-law in hospital
For Weegiemum that the Lord may uphold her as only He can. For Marc and Suzanne on their wedding day.
For Boilerwoman that she may take her strength from the Lord.
For Jentlydoesit and her DP that God may bring good into a difficult situation. Giving thanks for the new job.
For Swaliswan and dd2.
For Onlyjoking in this season of remembrances and for the children who are suffering more now than a year ago.
For Clockface with exciting changes to come.

And at this stage, sisters, I call you together to prayer for one another.
You know who you are - beloved of the Lord.

Happy birthday LTSF's dd Charlotte.

Also happy birthday to Samuel, who is my dear friend Margaret's grandson. His mummy is in hospital having had an operation to remove a very large (1kg) cyst. Please pray for Katherine.

I didn't want to steal your boingy thunder Soozi, so thought I could bounce, unless bouncing has been taken......

weegiemum · 26/06/2009 01:16

Meant to tell you all that Marc and Suz had a FABULOUS wedding - the best we have been at for a long time.

I am struggling though - life is busy, I am still very depressed, finding things hard going and kids summer holidays start tomorrow at 1pm.

So could you pray for me and the children as we face 7 weeks of me coping with them!!!! ??? They are going to my parents for a week, to MIL for 4 days, and we have a week of holidays as a family.

The other 4 weeks are mine! All mine!!!! HELP!!!!

I would be boinging if it wasn't for the beer I drank last night-he he!

Mum in law seems to have got through this horrible episode, but, she is still very ill with the potential to bleed out at any point-she is determined to go home tho.

We have a musicians weekend at church that started last night (hence the beer!) which I hope will be hugely encouraging for all those involved in worship and bring all of us together again.

Praying for you all-I never know what to say-there are so many lovely wise people here-but, I do pray. (especially in the night, when ds2,child no.4 kicks me out of my bed-the house is so peaceful then with all of them asleep!)

Have a lovely weekend....

DutchOma · 27/06/2009 09:48

And you too M44.

Yes, dts go at 7.30, then I go
ds2 not good at going to bed, but once he's asleep (which is about 8pm) he does sleep, thank goodness!

Eaten chinese!!!!!!!! heartburn time now, scoffed it too quickly, best get mi milk!

Prayers for all our children to have a peaceful sleep to give us rest!

Prayers for a better day tomorrow with our ds's

Its only last 2 months we have had temper tantrums with ds2, they are awful to watch though, there is nothing that can calm him down, can't put him on the step, can't put him in his bedroom, he is sooo strong and runs off! kicks punches etc I have to ignore him, then speak to him later, he calms quicker that way. Hopeing he grows out of it soon, makes me want to just run away with dd and leave all the testostrone(sp)males
