Prayer thread for summer 2009 - My grace is sufficient

My grace is sufficient for you 2Cor 12:9
and
When I am weak then I am strong 2Cor 12:10

Reading through last month's prayer request I came across the first text quoted by M44 and it brought the second one to mind.
When I am weak.....when I cry out to the Lord to my sisters to please pray for me, when life is hard....then I am strong.
I counted more than 20 names in last month's prayerlist, more than 30 when I counted the names Dippy had mentioned at the beginning of her update, so I will only mention a few names here.

We pray for Anna and Findlay, where real miracles of the Lord are needed.
For M44's mother-in-law in hospital
For Weegiemum that the Lord may uphold her as only He can. For Marc and Suzanne on their wedding day.
For Boilerwoman that she may take her strength from the Lord.
For Jentlydoesit and her DP that God may bring good into a difficult situation. Giving thanks for the new job.
For Swaliswan and dd2.
For Onlyjoking in this season of remembrances and for the children who are suffering more now than a year ago.
For Clockface with exciting changes to come.

And at this stage, sisters, I call you together to prayer for one another.
You know who you are - beloved of the Lord.

Prayers for B, SS - how is she in herself?

Prayers for K (I remember her) - how awful Praying for strength and for hope ...

B is definitely not right at times and then all of a sudden she seems fine for a while. She's been a little chatterbox at times today I think that sometimes she feels like I have done over the last few days, all headachey and dizzy

An update on K. The surgery is preventative. Apparently there is an 85% chance of cancer reappearing in her ovaries, so she is having them removed. Still worrying, but not AS worrying, IYSWIM.

Could do with some prayers for this please. I'm also feeling very poorly.

Dear All,

Sorry I have not been on, but I have been praying for you all. Especially those whose LOs are poorly x and thinking of all those whose LOs are starting and starting back at school soon.

SS (i think - sorry) - about your house move, pray hard, I will be praying for you. He will speak clearly, and point you in the right direction, ladies on here will tell you that we were to-ing and fro-ing between houses many times, before He gifted us the one we are buying.

Hopefully we will be exchanging this coming week, with a completion on the 17th. Please pray this comes to pass, as it is the uncertainty that I am having difficulty dealing with. DH spent today dismantling light fittings etc, which makes it more tangible.

Thinking of you all, and holding sleepysox near to my heart. x

Hello all, sorry to butt in but I posted many months ago asking for prayer ref my husband and lots of other issues we were having. I just wanted to let you guys know that he has been drug-free for almost 5 months now and our lives have drastically changed for the better - a true answer to prayer! I asked the elders in the church I go to, to pray and they had the intercessors praying too - things were rather ugly for some time but thanks to the Grace of God, we got through it. Life isn't perfect by any means of course but He has changed the foundations of our lives. I'm continuing to pray for DH's salvation of course but seeds have certainly been sown!

Will try to pop back on here soon but thank you all again, you were most welcoming and kind, I will never forget it!

Prayers will continue for you. And never worry about being back here again with a "oh heck!" moment later on. Had a parent who was a drug user and I know what sort of rollercoaster ride it was.

SS - how is DD? DS was sick over the weekend, his temperature keeps going up, the ibuprofen is bringing it down, but it was up again at 4am, have had a couple of bad nights with him...

Can we also keep in prayer the family of Andrew Gosden, still missing? Kevin, his father is a Lay Reader, and his life has fallen apart since Andrew went missing. He has posted that he is in a REALLY low pit of depression, and is much in need of prayer AND news of Andrew...

I'll post some pictures later of an age-progressed Andrew (I need to upload them), and I have an email people can use for passing on the message, if anyone is interested...?

Some good news from me, it looks like prayers have been answered, and the fight to keep P in this country is being won. I guess the home office can still appeal, so please keep praying. Praise Him for his great mercies!

Son is on the mend as well, he's not had any more medicine since 11:30, and is a bit more interested in his surroundings - he built a house with a swimming pool, complete with diving board earlier!

Sooz - yay for new nephew! Just thinking about new babies is making me want number 3!

LTSF prayers for a smooth move. Things are starting to go much better here with our house move. Our prayers are truly being answered.

Update on little B - her head is much less swollen now and she is loads brighter (oh and having a massive growth spurt ).

I don't want to answer phone if it rings at the moment. Every call seems to stress me further, and DD1 takes the opportunity to wreck the house whilst I am distracted.

Learnt today, that whilst we thought the solicitor would be able to exchange today, we weren't counting on the Royal Mail to chip into our lives with a postal strike, so our buyer's contract hasn't got to his solicitors yet. If I believed in curses, I would wonder what I had done to offend someone......

And ended up shouting at FIL on Saturday afternoon, which has never happened before, but couldn't take anymore of his lack of consideration towards our situation.

Very self absorbed, sorry!
