Prayer thread for summer 2009 - My grace is sufficient

My grace is sufficient for you 2Cor 12:9
and
When I am weak then I am strong 2Cor 12:10

Reading through last month's prayer request I came across the first text quoted by M44 and it brought the second one to mind.
When I am weak.....when I cry out to the Lord to my sisters to please pray for me, when life is hard....then I am strong.
I counted more than 20 names in last month's prayerlist, more than 30 when I counted the names Dippy had mentioned at the beginning of her update, so I will only mention a few names here.

We pray for Anna and Findlay, where real miracles of the Lord are needed.
For M44's mother-in-law in hospital
For Weegiemum that the Lord may uphold her as only He can. For Marc and Suzanne on their wedding day.
For Boilerwoman that she may take her strength from the Lord.
For Jentlydoesit and her DP that God may bring good into a difficult situation. Giving thanks for the new job.
For Swaliswan and dd2.
For Onlyjoking in this season of remembrances and for the children who are suffering more now than a year ago.
For Clockface with exciting changes to come.

And at this stage, sisters, I call you together to prayer for one another.
You know who you are - beloved of the Lord.

Hi all. Sorry to impose.

Would you all mind praying for me? Please pray that might husband might look back to God. Very difficult time. DH wanting to leave and would end up killing himself in some way or other. He is feeling so low and letting everything that has happened in his life torment him. I would so much appreciate your prayers. I dont know what to do.

Praying for you and your DH, Brokkenharted. In particular that you will be given the wisdom to know how to help your DH. Also that your DH will know the incredible healing of the Holy Spirit and that he will no longer feel tormented by his past. The devil is incredibly good at tormenting us with our past. I know all too well what it is like to hear the devil going on like a stuck record in my head. I also know how amazing it feels to hand it all over to God and be released from the pain. Thankfully for me, God doesn't mind how many times we end up handing this stuff over to Him.

I forgot to say earlier that DH has a job interview this morning and I have an appointment with the colorectal surgeon this afternoon. I feel ridiculously nervous about both. Oh, and DD1 is back with the CM today for the first time since potty training. The CM's DD is already being a little bully

Not too good at getting the names right, but prayers for you all, especially brokkenHarted, PLP and Ilovesprouts.
LTSF - I really pray that you will have peace with the whole situation.

My birthday today and want to Thank God for lovely children who are treating me so sweetly and have made the most beautiful homemade cards with lovely words in them. Lovely DH has booked an evening meal at a restaurant tonight. I am very happy and loving life at the moment. Thank You GOD.

DD3 starts at the specialist school today, just for 1 hour a day to start with. She is not going to be able to do any GCSEs next summer, as she should be doing, but I am praying that she will be well enough in a years time to go to a college course and catch up a bit there.

Love to you all. Thank you so much for all your prayer when I have been feeling rubbish. I must remember days like today and know that God is good!

God had put it in DH's heart to go and spend some time with some christian friends he knows and trusts and who i know will try to help him. He has just left so prayers that his time would be spent well please.
