I shall add a fresh vase of flowers to our collective kitchen and some freshly baked biscuits.

I've had my hair all cut off short and dyed an impressively bright colour. I feel so much more like me again!
DH and I having curry delivered for dinner tonight and the boys having an easy tea of meatballs and pasta. I might even pour myself a glass of something alcoholic this evening!

I have been feeling autumn more and more and a little concerned that it's too early and then my Facebook threw up a memory from a few years ago of my then toddler youngest sat on a garden bench helping me de-stalk a huge pile of elderberry. The local elder is definitely not ripe yet so we're behind where we have been in previous Augusts.
I have a week ahead of seeing more people collectively than I have since March 2020 so I am currently building up lots of protection. Fortunately it will be among friends and aquaintances who I like, so energies will generally be positive.

speakout · 21/08/2021 17:31

queenrollo The flowers are beautiful, thank you. The biscuits are delicious. And so good to feel your positive energy. A haircut always works wonders! I am sure you look vibrant!
I am feeling autumnal too, and have given thought to my cosy throws and autumn cushion covers lately, even spying them in my linen cupboard. But still reminding myself it is stil only August. Although a huge change in daylight, getting darker at each end of the day. Like your patch fruit isn't even ripe yet.
Having some baked camembert with chilli chutney and for a light dinner tonight- with a glass of wine!
Delivered curry sounds a great idea. I hope you enjoy!

I’m settling down and reaching for a biscuit. Thanks @queenrollo and thank you @speakout for the new thread.

I’ve just been visiting both sides of the family for a week and - as an autistic person - am utterly burnt out and quite emotionally fragile atm so I’m happy to be with friends.

Nice biscuits.

Trenzalor · 21/08/2021 18:10

I meant to respond to the baby witch thing as well. Witchtok on tiktok is a bit :/ at times and some attitudes to those beginning are not very nice and baby witch is also used mockingly against beginners. Most witchy posts on tiktok are not great tbh although there are some great witches on their spreading the craft gently.

speakout · 21/08/2021 18:18

Trenzalor

Wonderful to have you here as we settle down to refurbushments. You have a beautiful energy.

Shiny new thread, fabulous!

I've managed to walk 56k this week which I'm really proud of, plus yoga every day. I know everyone has their own yoga styles and favourites but I can really recommend Travis Eliot, he is inspiring.

Saw some beautiful butterflies on my walk and got caught in a wood in the rain. I sat under a tree drinking flask coffee and felt so content.

It's the little things isn't it? The sound of rain and the taste of plastic coffee Smile

Thank you for the new thread Speakout I'll light some incense and let the breeze gently waft it through.

Hello Trenzalor good to have you with us. You'll find solace here, sit back on a cushion and relax with a tea from out magic teapot.

Queenrollo so glad you're feeling more like yourself. A hair cut and colour can make such a difference. It recently had mine cut from bra strap length to my shoulders, and I've had some magenta highlights.

I'm starting to look towards autumn too, although this afternoon has turned out really warm and sunny (despite the forecast saying it was going to rain all day!) I picked some blackberries this afternoon which I'll use to make a crumble. I like the fact the evenings are starting to draw in, I enjoy being able to close the curtains and put my candles on at 8pm.

I'm not sure yet what to have for dinner, I might make a veggie chillie.

Hekatestorch · 21/08/2021 18:35

Hi

My first time posting here. I am pagans and a practising witch. I have been practising most of my life. My nana and great nana taught me some basics.

In recent years paganism has become to feel like home, so that's where I am at moment. Its really nice to meet you all. Flowers

speakout · 21/08/2021 19:42

VioletCharlotte A gentle breeze wafting in here too. I am filling up with tea and slowly sinking into the sofa.
Hekatestorch a warm welcome , wonderful to hear of your history.
We are a supportive tribe, and very happy to have you join us.

Ooh shiny thread! Here's chocolate for the biscuit tin and peppermint tea for the kettle.

I am super intermittent at the moment but reading if not posting much.

Love the sound of all your amazing hair! I'll try and get a photo of mine at some point - it is a magic all its own as my natural colour is very dark brown and I spent many years being told I couldn't have vivid colour. Then I met a colour magician :)

Intrigued by the baby witch conversation - I don't have tiktok and it's not a term I'd really clocked - but I had quite an instinctive reaction to it which you have all articulated beautifully in the last few posts of the previous thread. I love that it's becoming more widespread, and I love witchery in general for its breadth of possibilities and the way each woman's path is so personal. But I also really don't like the idea of hierarchy, nor the infantilising - so thank you for wise words and raising the discussion.

There was definitely some completion energy but it's all gone a bit wobbly again today with some sad news from a friend and another kitty vomit incident Sad - I think I might look out some kind of simple completion / new beginning ritual for the full moon this evening (why am I still awake?!) Something subtle as mum is a bit wary of the witchery!

Proper individual replies when it's not silly o clock - off to a car boot in the morning and will keep my eyes peeled for treasures!

BlankTimes · 22/08/2021 03:32

The kitchen looks and smells wonderful, thank-you all and a warm welcome to our new sisters.

I've had a somewhat trying time, so I'm going to take myself off to the crotchety old crone's corner, to be refreshed by a brew from the Magic Teapot so I'll emerge later ready for a chat. Halloween Grin

speakout · 22/08/2021 07:57

BlankTimes I hope things brighten for you today. The moon reaches its peak of fullness at noon today, I hope everyone had a calm night in her arms. The full moon seems to affect us all differently - I slept like a log, opened my curtains to a very misty morning and a family of deer grazing at the edge of the forest outside. Such a wonderous site.
THanks for the chocolate hilariousnamehere, perfect with a cuppa.
I saw this recipe yesterday, one of my favourite witch youtubers she has a great channel. This looks great for a celebration dinner.

Morning ladies.

Thank you for the new thread @speakout.

I am another who has felt the need for bright hair, I've got a temporary pink section at the front of my hair. It's an act of rebellion after working so hard this year.

I saw the full moon last night, I was out in the country at a wedding. The moon was bright red. I didn't get a chance to photograph it as I was driving.

My normally lovely husband has really annoyed me over this weekend. He is currently suffering with man fatigue and requires sympathy that I'm not prepared to offer. I'll make him a cuppa then I'm heading out with mini Toto to look at the fairy forest which is a short drive away. That should cure my bad mood.

speakout · 22/08/2021 10:00

TotoAnnihiliation

How exciting- a trip to the fairy forest! You have inspired me to take a walk in the wolf wood today.
I am working, but I will need a break later.

Can I join? I've lurked but not posted on the other threads.

The kitchen looks and smells so inviting, and I foraged for blackberries with my youngest yesterday so there's a berry crumble for the table.

speakout · 22/08/2021 10:20

WildeWitch a warm welcome, grab a comfy place and make yourself at home.
The berry crumble sounds divine- I'll bring the ice cream and custard!

Thank you speakout, it wonderful to park my broom and come into the beautiful energy of thread 15!! All that magic.. such a positive part of my life. Thank you

I agree the kitchen looks and feels lovely, I am bringing a calming vetiver EO blend and soft blankets to soothe and comfort for trying times and a listening ear when it’s time to talk. I hope things are brighter for you today too BlankTimes

I thought the moon was glorious last night, so bright here in a clear sky. I was working and thought of you all as I drove home guided by her powerful light.

speakout your morning view sounds utterly enchanting, what a start to the day- just wonderful. Thank you for sharing the food video, I’ve never seen that channel before, a fabulous wormhole to explore! Loving hearing about everyone’s food plans too- lots of inspiration for what to make. I think it’ll be roasted veg with rice and homemade pesto here later, if the snails haven’t finished off the purple basil in the garden.. I’ve also been gifted some apples and like Violet am thinking of crumble!

Loving the sound of all our brightly coloured hair sisters- bringing vibrant energy to our mix!

Lumpy your butterfly picture is beautiful, thank you for sharing that and the yoga recommendation, I look forward to having a look.

Hilarious I love a car boot! Hope you found some treasure this morning.

Hekatestorch and WildeWitch it’s lovely to have you join us, I look forward to getting to know you.

It’s a beautiful bright day here today, I’m about to hang some washing out to soak up the rays. I have some work prep to do for tomorrow and a walk later

Wishing everyone a nurturing Sunday
Love to all 💫

Thank you for the warm welcome! It's wet and wild today, so of course we'll be out and about. I don't do well in the heat, so these mild, wet and breezy days are just my cup of tea. We'll take our many dogs out for a good run, then home to warm up before I start preparing the evening meal.

We've been making corn husky kitchen witches this morning, I'll add one to the kitchen here if that's ok? They look so pretty with their gowns of tattered corn husk and belts of twine.

HillsBesideTheSea · 22/08/2021 12:58

Good morning.

So nice to see some fresh faces. I am finally feeling the nip of autumn. Managed to make time and the right colour to finally paint the mdf hare i picked up from hobby craft a couple of years back. Only got the first coat of colour on, and it might need 3 but it is a nice medative task for today.

A couple of weeks back i randomly picked up some coloured autumn leaves and these are going to go on my ceiling once i have given it a good clean i think. Some of the books i picked up have thought. provoking exercises in them connected to how i view my practise so I have been considering this carefully of late and as a consequence feel more at peace with it. I think the first time for a long while.

Taking a road trip out and into the hills; whilst hoping to avoid the majority of the tourist that are creating such people clutter. The heather is out on the hills and it really is pretty. Will see if there is a picture to share later.

May you have magical days that put you in good stead to face the new week.

TotoAnnihiliation · 22/08/2021 15:25

Ohhh all this talk of crumbles have made me feel excited. I'm looking forward to autumnal fruit crumbles with custard.

The fairy forest has made me feel much better, my husband decided to tag along with us and now I like him again.

I saw this sign in the forest and wanted to share it.

HillsBesideTheSea your enthusiasm is wonderful to hear. I love the idea of leaves on the ceiling, what a great idea. Like bringing outdoors inside. Very inspiring. I would love to see a picture of the heather hills if you manage.
TotoAnnihiliation " my husband decided to tag along with us and now I like him again." hat made me smile. Such is the way with relationships sometimes. Thanks for posting the sign from the fairy forest- it relates to me deeply right now. I have struggled for a few days with a close family member, but a long heart to heart with my niece this morning lef me feeling so good. She isn't a child, in her mid 40s with a psychology doctorate, but one of my best friends. I had been doubting my actions and she helped me see that I have spoken in a positive way in a difficult situation.
Just about to start dinner- chicken or tofu katsu ( some prefer meat) with a curry sauce, steamed jasmine rice and garlic pak choi.

Full moon blessings sisters.

Just sharing a picture of one of the corn husk kitchen witch dollies we made this morning.

After a lovely afternoon in the rain, my DC are dry and cosy and my kitchen smells of roast chicken and root vegetables, all in one pot with a few of my favourite herbs.

No chance of viewing the full moon here, the clouds are too thick. I'll be putting my crystals on the window ledge all the same!
