ZipadiSuzy · 05/06/2007 12:22

CD - ROFL 'plug squeaky', I presume you mean you are going to feed your DD 'P' Anyway thank you so much for your help with the flyers CD, it means I don't have to break the bank buying another printer before DH's money comes through! I can't thank you enough

Mary - about Dneice, 'tummy mummy' in adoption is the 'birth mummy' but like you say she is too young to remember or indeed understand, so it might be something else, although when you adopt, I think they involve the children too much, they know too much too soon. Sorry just my own personal view! [eek] (dare I) anyway my prayers for her peace at night with her nightmares, poor wee lamb

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 10:36

Fantastic Mary!

Prayers that P would settle soon would be good too, driving me a bit nuts & have lots to do & a v.full day - would be lovely to have even the smallest bit of "me" time, iykwim!!? >

Well, I've just given myself the shock of my life ...... walking to Pre-School, DD's 2 & 3 in the Phil & Teds, DD1 walking. DD1 was messing around,so I turned round to tell her off, let go of the pram and it toppled into the road!!!!! DD2 was screaming her head off, DD1 was really distressed. It was awful, I felt terrible. Worst of all, cars were just driving passed me, moving out and around me - NO ONE stopped to help!!!! In the end, a guy who lives opposite came out of his house & was absolutely lovely - he picked up the pram & made sure we were all ok, bless him. I carried onto Pre-School & dropped DD1 off, came home and had a good sob ...... DD2 has a big lump on her head, but is fine (SIL will LOVE that - as she's a FLower Girl for her Wedding on Sat ) and DD3 slept through the whole incident!!

Goodness me ........

Praise God my children are ok and thank you Lord for that lovely man hwo helped me!

OP posts:
DutchOma · 06/06/2007 12:47

Oh my goodness CDSB, what a shock. As you say, thank God the girls are ok, but what about you? Have you 'come to' yet?
Is there anything at all you can put on the backburner for a week or two, you seem so very busy and then accidents will happen.

ZipadiSuzy · 06/06/2007 12:52

CD - you poor thing, what a things happen so fast don't they, poor lo with bump, I hope she is ok! fancy 'P'baby sleeping through it all! I would have sobbed aswell, its the shock of what might have been, my prayers are through flying down to you now for a more sedate day!

Mary - what a lovely simple little prayer.

Notquitegrownup · 06/06/2007 14:17

What a shock for you CD! Do hope that you all recover quickly and that dd2s head recovers for Saturday. You are doing an amazing job coping with three under fours, you know. And with your hormones still settling down too. How old is Phoebe now?

Getting excited about this meet up now!

God bless all.

mufti · 06/06/2007 15:27

oh cd i know how you feel, the pushchair fell backwards onto the floor of the bus last week. ds was fine thankfully, didnt seem to notice!, i was in shock and nearly crying.
PRAISE GOD it wasnt too bad, and you were helped

MaryBS · 06/06/2007 16:29

EEK! CD! Thank God everyone is OK! How is everyone else today? I've just come from church, where I've been preparing for singing Choral Evensong. What I did establish is that I can't hold the same note whilst I sing the collect ! The rest of its OK I THINK - so long as the choir are singing the arrangement I was given a few months ago, and it hasn't changed - which it might have done! Still struggling with BCP though!

Glad you liked my prayer - its from my OT reflection. I've got a whole bunch more like that... if anyone wants to see the whole thing (complete with powerpoint slideshow), let me know... I'm quite proud of it!

Notquitegrownup · 06/06/2007 18:30

Hi Mary

I used to struggle with the BCP too, but then went through a time of really struggling with my faith, and I can remember finding a lot of comfort in it. I think that it is a question of emphasis. The BCP emphasises parts of prayer that these days we don't usually need to emphasise. Just remember as you pray it together, it might be really allowing someone in the congregation to speak to God about how they are feeling. Hopefully He will be able to help them to move on, to feeling more joyful, but it might be where they are at that time.

HTH

MaryBS · 06/06/2007 20:11

That's the trouble - there are usually only 3 or 4 in the congo - it seems to be mainly for the choir's benefit! Its a long story...

Also the BCP isn't part of "my" tradition, so I have no love for it - don't think I'll EVER get used to it!

Update on Judy - she rallied earlier in the week, but had another bad day today may God help her and support her

Update on Liam - his birthday at the end of the week, his parents are going down to see him.

fannyannie · 06/06/2007 20:13

just a flying visit to ask for some prayers for my neck/shoulder.....must have slept very badly (position wise) last night as today my neck and shoulder on the left side are so painful I can't actually tip my head back properly to finish a drink......don't suppose it'll be much better tonight as I'm still trying to find teh 'right' position for me to lie-in when co-sleeping with DS3.

ZipadiSuzy · 06/06/2007 23:26

BCP? (der) excuse me not being very well educated [shame]

CD - Have you recovered from this morning?

FA - aw sweetie, sounds like you've trapped a nerve, ouch! prayers for your recovery.

CC - Prayers for your DH tomorrow!

Well my feet are stinging, I have delivered so many flyers tonight, me thinks feet in bucket of warm soapy water is on the cards with drink of cider and a bar of chocolate (have to get mi foot bath out of loft)

Night God Bless!
