omw seems i have the biggest list. Maybe I should get on my knees a bit more.

CaptainDippy · 21/02/2006 09:31

We all need to get on our knees a bit more honey!! No - it just means you've been asking for prayer in everything, we should all take a few leaves out of your book!! I think it is great that you have asked for prayer over all these things and I shall certainly continue to pray for them ALL for you!!

DD2 (9months) 1st day at nursery today - pray it goes well!! Thank you!!

onto it cd

Twiga · 21/02/2006 10:30

Morning all! Could you please remember Anya and her parents in prayer. Got a call late last night to say that she's had to have a feeding tube put in - she's swallowed a small ammount of myconium at birth and was on the usual monitoring for a while but unfortunately has been a bit poorly as the day progressed. My friend is so wanting to bf and the feeding tube will obviously complicate getting things established etc - they did make a good start though so... Feel completely useless being at a distance and just wish I could go give them a huge hug. Mastitus getting better and nearly feeling back to normal, still a bit sore though. Hating being stuck in Dumfries at the moment, feeling prety lonely and non of the above helping

Twiga · 21/02/2006 10:31

Sorry, forgot to say that Anya's Grandmother was able to see her for a short while before she flew home so thank you God for that!

poppiesinaline · 21/02/2006 10:34

Wow what a list!

DH still hasn't got a new job. Please keep praying.

Verytiredmum · 21/02/2006 11:15

Flying in on one of my occasional visits. Great idea to start a new thread CD. Much easier to cope with.

Can I throw in a relatively trivial plea for prayer please? My ds2 is two and a half and his excema has flaired up which means that from 2am onwards he is doing a lot of scratching and not much sleeping. I am exhausted! I need sleep! He seems quite happy on 7 or 8 hours a day and by daytime he is fine - too well, in fact as he has just hit a very rebellious phase, testing out his muscles and shouting at me a lot - when I have only had 4 hours sleep! He used to be my peaceful, laid back, gentle baby. I feel as if I am being put through the mincer. I am being as patient as I can with ds1 and trying to keep life normal, cope with work etc too, but feel as if I am losing the battle. He will sleep again one day, won't he??!

Aliep30 - lovely to see you on this thread (well the end of the last one.) Really felt I should pray for you. You sound so much more positive! I've been praying for your dh too.

God bless

CaptainDippy · 21/02/2006 13:37

Hello - Quick stop before I go into town to brave the employment agencies - PLEASE pray that I find a job quickly as putting the girls into nursery for two afternoons a week is going to cost us a fortune - a fortune that we most defintely DO NOT have at the moment!!!! Argh!

Sorry to hear about little Anya and the feeding tube Twiga - Praying that she'll have it removed soon and be able to go home - How crap for your friend. Please keep us posted, but so so so so pleased that Grandma was able to see her before going home - Hurrah, Thank you God!!! So sorry that you are feeling lonely up there in Dumfries - wish I didn't live about 8 hours away or tht I had a private jet - I'd be up there in minutes if I could!! Praying that you would feel happier soon and would get the energy to just "get out there" and make the most of your time in Scotland!! It must be tough - keep posting and we will keep praying!!!

I continue to pray for your DH poppies - I really hope he finds a new job soon. xx

Hello verytiredmum!! Good to "see" you!! NOT trivial AT ALL - I have exczema too and it is AWFUL - I can totally sympathise with you and with your DS too - You poor poor thing - I will pray that the flare-up calms down soon and you can ALL get some sleep in the tired household - Have you tried any alternative therapies??? It might be worth a try - I know that when my condition is really bad, I would give anything a go - especially to keep off the steroids!! Please Lord - make the flare-up go away!!!!!

Right - gotta rush!!

Laters .....

could I add a prayer for my dad please? he attended his first alcohlic anonymous meeting today and I would like him to find the strength to continue with them and cope with his illness.

Verytiredmum · 21/02/2006 21:00

PS Twiga - have posted a bit about mastitis on the breast and bottle feeding thread

Twiga · 21/02/2006 22:07

Evening! Thanks for all your support and prayers, and thanks VTM for the thread you started . Right the latest news is great, Anya and her mummy are now both on the same ward and all the drips and monitoring stuff has been removed. Anya is still on the feeding tube but only so they can give her wee top ups if needed, they are being very supportive re: bfing and Anya has managed to bf well today. I was able to speak to my friend for a few mins this evening and I reckon the worst is over as she was sounding like her old self and dying to have a girlie chat so she can give me all the gory details tomorrow lunchtime - I've arranged to ring when there'll be no visitors!

I phoned my Mum this evening and we had a good natter so feeling much better re: being away from Aberdeen, as she says having sore boobs on top of everything tends to make the outlook that little less sunny! Dh got in late from work tonight and one of his collegues has offered to do an utlra-sound on thurs for me if still lumpy and sore on the mastitus front - this will check for any undrlying probs like abcesses etc and they will then treat accordngly if necessary. I'd love to avoid this as treatment seems to involve needles and I'm scared of them (not hugely phobic but not keen either) and can't think of anything worse than having one stuck in my breast!

Anyway thanks again for your prayers, they are making a real difference. Am in turn remembering everyone else on here, God bless x

longwaytogo · 22/02/2006 10:03

Lord give me patience today. Can't cope. DH off work Dr says if one lot of anti b's hasnt worked then no point having another lot. He is still in bed.

dd 1 & 2 are arguing, dd1 friend is here, we are supposed to be moving in less than two weeks nothing is packed there is now a problem with whether extension is built over drains. Vendors solicitors have messed up, my floors are filthy and I can't see anything changing when we move. Sick and tired of living in a pig sty.

vent over hopefully

lucy5 · 22/02/2006 10:25

Could you pray for my dh and family as we found out yesterday that his father had been missing for fourdys. Unfortunately we heard that his body was found in a lake. There are huge rifts in his family, this is why it took so long for the info to get to us, we found out via Australia. Anyway could you please say a few prayers for David, dh and his family. Thankyou.

longwaytogo · 22/02/2006 11:23

omw lucy5 that is such sad news. Will pray for healing of the family and for your dh.

lucy5 · 22/02/2006 12:09

Verytiredmum · 22/02/2006 12:19

Onto it Lucy5 and Longwaytogo, too. Hope that the vent helped a little, LWTG, and that the prayers which are about to come will help lots too.

BeachedWhale · 22/02/2006 13:32

Hello all. Came here to ask for prayers to help us with our nightmare house buying/selling saga but I realise now how trivial my problems are compared to many asking for prayers here. I am about to go off to church as it is my turn to provide and arrange the alter flowers this week so I shall think of all you when I am there and will include you all in my prayers today.
God bless.

CaptainDippy · 22/02/2006 13:39

BeachedWhale - NOT trivial AT ALL - each of us has issues that we need to tackle and situations that need God's Hand on them - It doesn't matter how "important" you feel your particular trouble is - It is all about what effects our lives and every prayer request on here is just as vital as each other - Glad you came and glad you requested prayer - Am praying that house situation sorts soon, keep us posted .....
