Sorry it's been so long, thought I'd type quick up-date and check on requests before heading to bed.

Bit of a shock on the move front, looks like we'll now be here for a year instead of six months (dh jobs/contract shuffled round)- few tears and tantrums initially but trusting that God knows what he's doing even if we don't get it right now. On a positive front, dd and I loving the mum and tots group we've found here, and generally finding our feet a bit better. On a mastitus front, finally got rid after over a fortnight on various anti-bs unfortuately now have thrush which I'll need to treat - just too long on the anti-b's but finding it sore to bf as a result - love bf but no fun right now! All of us have colds too.

Our Goddaughter Anya is thriving and her mummy is recovering well. Please pray that her and her dh would get the most from their rest and that bfing continues to go well. We're going to see them this weekend - can't wait to finally meet her. Please pray for safe travel for us - 5 hour journey and weather/roads not great just now.

Continuing to pray.....God bless x

CaptainDippy · 13/03/2006 10:55

Morning!! Hello and Welcome MrsGee - Good to have you with us - Of course you can join in, it isn't an exclusive club, everyone needs prayer!! Smile Will defintely pray for your hubby re: job. what a nightmare for you all, it is so hard to trust when circumstances turn out this way. I just pray that you would cling to God, the rock and that He would pull you out of these circumstances and put you back on the right track. Please keep us updated!!

Hi Twiga!! Thank you very much for the update, good to hear from you! I was Shock about you staying a year now instead of 6 months - Gosh, how are you feeling about that!!? Glad that you feel a bit more settled now and that you and DD ar enjoying the toddler group. Found a nice church yet or are you still "shopping"!!? Sad about the thrush - praying that the Anti-B's kick in soon and all this yukky ill health leaves you alone, poor thing. So Smile that little Anya is doing well - you must be so excited about meeting her for the 1st time, have a wonderful time away and relax (as much as you can) I am praying for you and your family and so are lots of other people on here, I am sure.

Mmmmmmm, all is ok in the Dippy Household - Have a bit of a panic attack this morning when I realised a job application that I thought was due in tomorow at noon is actually due in today!! Shock DH (wonderful wonderful man) took the morning off work to look after the DD's while I filled it in. It is done now and I am going to go and hand it in after I've finished here (priorities!! Wink)

I didn't get an interview for one of the jobs I applied for so I am just thinking that God didn't want me to have that job, even though I was surprised that I didn't even get an interview!! Hmmmmm....

DD2 is getting better, but still not her usual self. Everytime I try and give her anything to eat she has a complete mad screaming fit. She has always been an awkward feeder, but I thought we had got through that phase. Obviously not, poor thing. Just pray that she will recover soon and I can have my happy little baby back again!! Thank you!!

Hi all, can we add the families of the children killed at dunblane to our prayer list - just sat through a bbc Scotland prog marking the 10th anniversary - it was tough viewing. Pray too that the promises made to legislate around gun issues would be honoured and soon - it's already been too long Sad

Verytiredmum · 14/03/2006 11:45

Morning ladies

Just a quick update - ds2 making gentle progress and able to walk about 5 steps this morning. Hurrah! We've had to postpone his birthday party tomorrow, as I don't think that he will be up to jumping and leaping around a soft play centre, but he's much brighter in himself.

Praying for you Mrsgee, Dippydaughter2 and for those families in Dunblane too.

God bless

Verytiredmum · 14/03/2006 14:37

Would appreciate prayers for me/my energy levels. I've been nursing ds1 for a week, through high temperatures etc and keeping ds2 (aged 2.6) occupied too. Now that ds1 is starting to feel better and livelier, I suddenly feel totally drained. I could definitely do with some oomph this afternoon!

Sorry to have to come along again and ask for more prayers. Just asking makes me feel I'm helping somehow.

There is another little one in our group who had surgery yesterday - the news is pretty bad - they have been working on her all day yesterday and most of the night but can't get her stable. Mum thinks she is losing her.

Baby G went home - thank you - no news on baby M but we have left the family in peace. I'm sure mum will be in touch when she's ready.

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2006 10:51

Thank you for the update SMBK - Posting here is helping and making a difference - Prayer is a very powerful thing, don't underestimate your contributions - I am most defintely praying for your wee babies. Wonderful news about Baby G- so glad that he / she is home and safe with his family - Do update on Baby M whenever you hear any news.

I am praying and so Sad about this little one who is being operated on. I am really not too sure what to say, except that I am praying for a miracle. Please update when you hear any more.

Thank you for your posts, they are important!!

Just want to say hankyou for all your prayers and thoughts. The funeral went better than expected and some, not all family rifts were over come. If you could still keep praying for dh and my bil as they grieve it would be much appreciated. Smile

lucy5 · 15/03/2006 11:00

oops Thankyou , obviously.

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2006 11:32

No worries Lucy - Glad funeral was ok, continuing to pray for your DH, BIL and for you and your family as you pass through this sad and difficult time. Thank you for posting. xx

Realised I hadn't posted here for a while so should update. The past 10 days or so have been so eventful that I dont know where to start. Here is an abridged version

DS2 is doing very well at the moment. Due back at GOSH next Tuesday for dressing changes etc (under anaesthetic). I have been a silly fool -plenty on the other thread so wont go in to it now. But needless to say that I feel pretty low and embarrassed about it all.

Right DS1 just got up. Need to go and be 'stern mummy' and take him back to bed...

Thannks for all your support.

mrsgee · 16/03/2006 19:24

thought id update too
dh still no job getting bit worried now, also hes been ill with virus all week.
ds2 throwing up on and off since monday and yucky nappies, lots of washing.
dd1 good girl-hooray
me-tired and drained in need of chocolate and pray(at the moment in that orderWink)

longwaytogo · 16/03/2006 22:04

ok update here too.

Still in the middle of moving house - got to be the longest house move ever. carpets going down tomorrow so hopefully will be in fully by the w/e

Have now done work induction so start proper next thurs.

Babies not sleeping unless they are in our bed and so need to get it sorted as when we move we are going to be on differnt floor level to them so really don't want to be running up and down stairs in middle of night. Plus we are so tired that we end up arguing over it in the middle of the night.

But God is GOOD

CaptainDippy · 17/03/2006 08:50

Thank you for your updates!! Praying for you NASWM - will check up your other thread so that I can pray more effectively, but so glad that DS2 is doing ok with his hand and that is it healing ok - hope the dressing changes (ouch) go ok and that healing is super fast!!

Continuing to pray about job situation for your DH mrsgee and praying that your DD2 gets better really really soon, hate those yukky buggy virus' that mean lots of disgusting nappies and wahsing etc etc - Bleurgh!! Poor thing!!

Sorry to hear that your move is going sooooooooo sloooooooooooowly longwaytogo - Hope you can move in by the w/e, that would be fabby and praying that you get the sleeping situation with your little ones sorted. It must be a very stressful and tough time for you atm; just praying for peace and rest and for everything to go as smoothly as it possibly can from here on in!!

All ok in the Dippy Household - DD2 still not quite back to her normal self, just moany and absolutely knackered all the time, poor love. DD1 fine though and Dippy and DH ok. Haven't heard back from any of the job applications yet, please pray that I would get a job soon and that we can get these rusty cogs moving slowly towards getting our own place to live in!!

Still need names for the Big Chocolate Swap -

captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk

Yum!! Yum!!
